The Hunt Empty The Hunt

Mon Jul 27, 2015 4:45 am
Leaves rustled and twigs broke underfoot as a man somewhere in his 30s ran wildly through Karakura Forest. He ran blindly on, suffering minor cuts and bruises as he fumbled through a particularly dense part of the forest. He panicked, running even faster as a voice rang out around him, seeming to echo through the area.

Ichizo Yoshihara. As he spoke Chloranthy used his manipulation of kinetic energy to effect the sound waves of his voice, causing them to echo around the man he was calmly following.
Gender, Male. Age, 34. Seen jumping out of an alleyway and mugging a woman, Tansho Matsushisa, before stabbing her and leaving her for dead. You fit the description of eyewitness accounts perfectly and when confronted, quickly ran. That is evidence enough.

Chloranthy would point his right arm forward, extending his index finger toward his target. With a shimmer around his arm, a spear of kinetic force launched forward and hit the man, impaling his right thigh. Chloranthy would soon approach the downed man clutching his right leg in pain, bleeding out of the newly made hole in his thigh.

Which hand did you use to murder her?

Looking down on the man and awaiting a response, Chloranthy sneered when the only response would be for the man to start crawling away from him, spewing forth random nonsense from his mouth that Chloranthy paid no heed to. Chloranthy sighed, forming a kinetic arm extending from his right shoulder and grabbing the man's injury, squeezing it and dragging him back. He would form another kinetic arm extending from his left shoulder, and using these arms he would turn the man around and drag him to his knees, clutching the man's throat with the left arm while keeping his grip on the hole in the man's leg with his right.

Well, no matter, i'll just deal with both of them.

Chloranthy would then extend his right arm, facing his palm towards his victim. He would force the man's hands out to the sides, forming the man's body into a t. With an expression as still as stone, he would then break every last one of his fingers, causing them to twist in their sockets twice over, causing the man to scream in pain. He originally had planned to leave him there like this, but something within him called him to go further, to make this man suffer for what he had done. Chloranthy snarled as he moved his right arm until he was pointing his palm at a nearby tree. The tree's bark would crack and splinter until a chunk was torn out of it's trunk. The chunk then floated towards Chloranthy and the man on his knees before him. While looking into the man's eyes, face still as expressionless as stone, he addressed him once more.

I would have let you go with this, but since you seem so inclined to not even beg for forgiveness, I'm afraid I'll have to make you fully experience the pain you inflicted on another.

The chunk of wood floating beside them would begin to splinter, smaller pieces tearing off in dagger-like shapes. Several of these chunks of wood would then align themselves with several different parts of the man's torso.

Go on then, scream like she screamed!

The man's pleas never reaching his ears, he would one by one slowly drive the chunks of wood into the man's chest, grinning more and more as his blood flowed forth and the wood dug painfully through his flesh.

Artist: N/A - Song: N/A - Word Count: N/A

The black locks of Azure Iramasha flung from side to side, the sun's morning glow shifting through the trees of Karakura Forest. Azure was disgusted, irritated and down right appalled at the actions that he had just seen occur in front of him. They were murderous, filled with malicious intent not just towards the man they were acted upon, but anyone that would be caught in the creature's vicinity. It was a moment that Azure could not relate to, nor allow to continue. The male's slender figure shifted from right to left, a flash of red forming along his pupils as his energy spiked to unmeasurable levels. The grass that had just been stained with morning dew was now pressed flat against the Earth, the male's limiter finally being removed from his spiritual energy. With a simple step forward, the Earth beneath him crushed beneath the weight his pressure gave off, his lips parting only slightly to unleash the words that radiated throughout the entire forest.

"Have you always wanted to die, little one?"

The man's voice boomed to the left of the unknown figure that had just impaled the man in the chest, the wood cracking against the bones within him. The voice radiated with a tone of duality, one syllable after the other began to repeat to give off the sense of two beings speaking in one. Despite this, the man truly was only one being. He stepped forward once more, the ground imploding upon itself, the earth that once sat beneath them began to raise around his entirety.

"Did you truly believe that such things were alright? Even to those that do harm?"

A sense of bluntness formed in Azure's words, his eyes flashing once more as he smirked to himself, his arm swinging to the side as he watched the odd creature before him. The man that he had just impaled was not only impaled, but was also placed into a state of terror. His fingers, one by one seemed to have been twisted in angles that were not natural. With that came a sense of despair for most who would hear such a tone. It was not a normal state for Azure to take things, but with it was reasoning that the being before him had needed to act in such a way.

Before, during that very night, Azure did nothing but mind his own buisness. But with that buisness he had been keeping came a sad existence of constant work, as usual. He had been residing in central karakura, keeping to himself as he watched the ongoings of the world around him. Karakura was moving as usual, his eyes shifting from one thing to the next as he watched the lively nightlife that Karakura central presented him that very night. However, it was not just a simple night. In reality, Azure was focusing all his efforts that late night into catching what seemed to be a repeat serial offender of both assaults and small murders. It was a clean job for most of them and had been done frequently now that the crime rate in Karakura had began to spike again. It was once again, one of the normal duties of a member in the Vanguard, along with being the leader. The job no longer mattered when it came to Azure's actions, what truly mattered was that something was getting done.

The Vanguard had a reputation for doing nothing in the past, before taking up the mantle Azure had known this. And with that reputation, it became apparent to Azure that he needed to get things done just as much as his members would be. So, that being said, here he sat, his eyes tracking hundreds of passer bys in Karakura's central district, his mind dead set on finding the man or woman that had indeed been doing this.

The hours grew longer as Azure lazed in the central district, attempting to find the evil-doer that stepped forth in Karakura. The time had finally come, now that the night was growing to a close. It was abrupt and quick, a man had mugged a woman, and along with that mugged came the stalker of another being, following in pursuit. Minutes of tracking is what brought Azure to this now barren forest, his eyes flashing with anger as he looked down upon the man that had caused such torture to occur in a peaceful place.

Speaking only once more, Azure pressed his hands against his hip bones, the energy that had recently skyrocketed had dimmed, but the presence of the energy seemed to only intensified.

"Do people like you normally like the idea of death? Is the idea of the thrill nice? Or is it for the betterment of the city. Or, the world? Who knows, I surely don't."

Chloranthy was startled by the sudden rise of pressure in the area and as a result, relinquished his hold on both his victim and the chunk of wood. The man fell to the ground with a thump and a pathetic groan, rolling over on his side to alleviate some of the pain. Chloranthy kept himself tensed as he looked to his left at the offending newcomer who had caused the sudden rise in pressure. He simply stared at the newcomer; he stared into his eyes with a somewhat frustrated expression for a while until he chose to answer his questioning. Chloranthy turned his head back to his former victim, his expression reverting to one of stone, all emotion bleeding from his face as he contemplated.

Death...
As he spoke this word a whimper could be heard from the man lying on the ground in pain.
I've contemplated it before, dying again. If I were to die a second time there may be no hope for my revival, which may be for the better. I would fade into nothing...

Chloranthy would then turn to completely face the newcomer, his hands fading into his body at waist level so that his arms were joined to his body at the wrist.

Do I.. take thrill in it?
Chloranthy lowered his head slightly, his face twisting into a grimace.
No... no, I don't.
Chloranthy shook his head side to side once before raising his gaze to lock onto the newcomers again.
I...
Chloranthy looked back at the man whimpering on the ground. As he gazed at him for a few moments his expression twisted back into one of anger and his voice raised.
I.. No! This man.. this scum...
Chloranthy turned away quickly from the man, his face becoming neutral again as this time he faced back to the way he had followed him from. He turned his head to the right to address the newcomer again.
He's alive. He won't be doing anything like what he's done anytime soon as he'll be pulling wood chips out of his chest for quite a while, which may prove difficult without functional fingers. Anything else you want to inquire?
