It was asked of him to both test a new Captain and prepare a system for the girl's training. She would be advancing to the position of Squad 5 Captain if she performed well enough. But for now, he went over the file of Tessa it was an interesting read. He rubbed his brow, somehow he'd taken the role of teacher for this generation. An Unabara stood at the front that was the way it seemed, for the last group it was his father. This time he was aiding in two Captain's and perhaps more if they desired so much. His eyes scanned over the document, things about her fighting style everything they could gather. He rubbed his chin before laying the paper down and walking from the building. A training dummy stood ready, it was stronger and faster than the female. It would react only to her coming in range on it. Made of a sekkeiseki stone around the sides, the dummy allowed it to reject energy. Also if the female landed a blow that wasn't effective or good she'd take damage. But with all that set up only a matter of time was before them. Tetsuya could only wait as he walked over to stand next to the dumb. His frame easily moving past it with no effort. This girl wouldn't learn such a thing, she'd be learning dart and dash first. Which was a style of going in and backing off. She was already exceptional with kido, the rest of it would be training her close range combat. Letting her discover for herself what felt comfortable, everything about this exercise would teach her about comfort. The doll was programmed and set up, he tapped a hand on his Zanpakutō. These were the only two he knew of for this as he cracked his neck. His eyes shut slowly as he went into thought, memories flooded back as he remembered that place. It was a hell on earth as he remembered and battle was all that was constant. His eyes opened now, staring forward sharply. The Training compound was sandy and had plenty of positions to view over it. He stood next to a small log building merely waiting, it wasn't hard to find him with his reiatsu exposed.

"So many candies? For me? Ah you shouldn't have-"
The raining shower of various sugar coated delights soon dispersed as he was awoken by a Hell Butterfly fluttering on his head. He blinked for a few moments at the message while regaining his bearings. Another Captain's test? Seemed like things were shaping up in an interesting manner it would seem. Shin himself stretched slightly as he looked over the desk of paperwork and sighed. One of the people he had interest in seemed to be the one getting promoted. And with that thought, he sighed to himself, picking up the folder he had on her and proceeded to Shunpo towards the training grounds for a moment as he arrived there, curious as to what would happen next as he shrugged his shoulders and yawned while waiting for things to get started, leaning up against a building and holding the folder in hand labelled with her name, which would be curious as it meant Shin got it on his own as the information was only delivered to Tetsuya for this test in particular.

The breeze rustled through the shinigami's bright red hair as she rested atop the barracks, her eyes looking outwards in to the sky. Small horns could be seen just poking out of her hair as the wings behind her stretched slightly. Curled around a sheathed blade, her red scaled tail swished behind her as her feet swung back and forth over the edge of the roof. It was almost time for her, for she, Tessa Morrowend, had been called upon to come to the Unabara compound for training. Now, that simply wasn't an offer she was willing to push away, but it did worry her. Why would the Unabar persue her training? She had tried to do her best to keep her abilities a secret, hide it from others. Had she failed? Had the recently awakened Cogimo seen her bankai and revealed its existence to others? Or was there some other way they knew? Still, she would attend this training, if only to strengthen herself. So, with a smirk across her lips, Tessa pushed her legs off the building, wings snapping out as she took flight before she vanished in a quick flash step, appearing a short ways from the training area she had been pointed to in the earlier missive.
Her wings snapping shut as she landed on her feet, her tail curled closer to her body, hiding her zanpakto from immediate view while still being within easy reach if she needed to draw it. Walking slowly towards the training area, her eyes narrowed as she noticed the two people there. One she was unsure of, she thought she remembered him from... ah, wasn't he the recently promoted squad two captain? Yea, that had to be it. The other, well it was his reitsu that had truly led her here. Of course she knew this man, it was the one who had sent her the missive, the one who would train her. Standing at the entrance, she inclined her head slightly towards the two but never took her eyes off of them. These men were dangerous, dangerous in ways that had her extremely wary of them. No, for now she would just see what they had planned, and so she raised her voice to them.
"You wished for my presence?"

He watched the other arrive, he cracked his neck a bit. Training combined with other elements for one Tessa. It was partly teaching her how to fight and what came with the task. He looked at the female as she landed, she was a kido user so the doll in place would make her pick up melee skills. But she could use kido unlike other doll's he had his father build or put together. "Yes, I did. Tessa Morrowend it has been decided you will be trained and tested for the position of Squad Five Captain." He said calmly as he folded his arms across his chest. Tetsuya was an interesting looking young man, he had the intensity of a tiger or perhaps a lion. Something about him just seemed intense, but he had a calm attitude about things when you got to know him. Though something about him seemed unhinged and wild at times, he walked over and leaned against a wall. Deciding to give final instructions to the female, this was a doll designed to fight bankai users and power up as they released sword powers. This dummy could move and act completely on it's own, though it was set to only activate when attack. Tetsuya's eyes focused in on the figure of Tessa as he spoke the next line for her. "This doll will be the first exercise in training, it's about learning here. So attack the doll as you please." Blows that were poor or rather not good one's at all. Things that wasted your energy pointlessly would be responded in by sending the blow back to the female's body. She would take damage and the dummy wouldn't, that was the part which distracted most. But this was about fighting and finding her style and refining that quality. This was only the first test or training exercise the Unabara practiced. His eyes watched her closely, she resembled in some ways his younger sister when she began training. But that was perhaps the case for all people, grant it she was only getting an introduction course the families training secret's weren't so freely given away.
But for now it was time to let the female begin the test and see what she had. He didn't really pay attention to the details, they were looking for a capable kido user and she fit the bill. Sure it was odd having a none kido user teach her, but fact was her weak point needed to be stronger. And Tetsuya knew plenty about training and strategy involved in it all.

"What he said. I'm here to potentially assist in your training and as another eye. The eyes of Gotei are as sharp as mine it seems."
Shin said with an absent thought as, though he seemed like he wasn't interested, he was. He was just being himself as usual and cracked his knuckles together before opening his own folder he had on her. He perused it to note her pertinent talents. Of which, she liked long range kido combat. Which, he knew from these dolls, would suck. And he simply smirked as he had a thought to amuse himself at her determination and gullibility at the same time. Tetsuya wouldn't agree with the idea but it was one Shin felt was worthwhile to test. And to amuse himself.
"Oi, I've fought those things before, they hurt like a bitch. Try and not let it kick your ass too much. A little advice: It hits hard so try not to let it hit you. Go for long range combat. Especially Kido. These things hate Kido."
Shin said as he then glanced at Tetsuya as he said this. He knew that Tetsuya would not really agree with Shin's method but sometimes, the hard way was the best way. And seeing if she was overly obedient versus self reliant and acting on her own intelligence was also key. So Shin justified his bemusement with that logic. It had truth but he was honestly just amusing himself at her cost. He figured Tetsuya would eventually correct him and since Tetsuya got to know Shin's mannerisms some, he'd understand part of his logic. And also know it was him being a dick also. So both were valid and Tetsuya would not be happy but, Shin would do as he saw fit to make this effective. Doll was good at training particular traits but, if she didn't have the skills to deal with it, she'd have to learn other ones.

Re: Training a Captain

Captain? They wanted her to become a captain? Tessa’s eyes narrowed, her arms folded behind her in a casual way, but in reality they gripped upon the hilt of her blade. They obviously knew more than she had thought, but it would be foolish of them to think that she would simply accept this situation. No, that certainly wasn’t how this was going to go.
“Captain? Why are you promoting me, a simple unseated member, directly to the position of Captain?”
In truth she had long denied any offers of promotion, she simply did not want to be higher up in the chain of command. The only think she cared for was to strengthen herself, and taking the seat of Captain wouldn’t give her any inherent ability to increase her strength. Letting the thought pass, she simply continued her questions.
“Wouldn’t that seem odd, and others might not think me capable of filling such a high position? Besides, are you sure I have the qualities that are necessary to be a captain, not to mention the personality that would make a good leader? Almost anyone who knows me can tell you about my impulsive and rash behavior at times.”
Turning to look at what was to be her partner, she raised an eyebrow in question. To have her fight a doll, what were they thinking? She was quite the capable combatant, even she couldn’t deny that, and it would be obvious to those higher up. So for her to face the doll, it would have to possess something that would give it a significant advantage over her. The only thing she could possibly think of was either a way to neutralize the powers of her birth, and ice based capability, or a way to negate her kido. Tilting her head slightly as she listened to the advice of the other one who was here, a smirk on her face as he finished his speech. Given his words, it was most likely that it had the ability to deal with her kido somehow. After all, she wasn’t a complete fool, and she had certainly notice the smirk he had made before. Well, she wasn’t going to say no to a training session despite what they wished of her. Letting out a sigh, she looked around the area, noticing the sand that was the base of the training area before speaking up.
“Well, thanks for your advice sir, I’ll be sure to take it in to account, now how about we see what I can do against this doll?”
With those words spoken, strong wing beats shot her in to the air as she drew her zanpakto from its sheath, allowing her tail to hold the she at the end in order to give her a free hand. Taking a huge breath in, she then exhaled a huge burst of flames, a cone of flames surging downwards towards the training ring. Due to the similarities between her flames and that of kido, it was likely that a doll resistant to kido would come out uninjured from her assault, and if the doll managed to reflect it back at her she would likely not have to worry due to her draconic ancestry giving her a strong resistance to flames. No, the true reason for this assault was the sheer spread of the attack. With how high in the air Tessa was, the flames would cover the whole entire training area, not just the doll. Without the doll’s abilities on the sand, flames would slam down upon it, turning the sand to molten glass. Letting her fire breath stop there, Tessa let herself lower to the ground, her wings flapping a bit to help the glass cool and settle before she landed.
Now, with a sheet of glass upon the ground, she smirked at the one who had said to use kido. She was situated a far distance from the doll, and it was time to see how he would deal with what she intended to do.
“So, you said to use kido, then here goes!”
Her tail slammed down in to the glass ground with such force that it cracked, shards of glass flying upwards between her and the doll.
“Hadō 1, Sho!”
Instead of targeting the doll, Tessa put all her kido expertise in to targeting the shards of glass with her kido, sending them flying towards her opponent as her legs bent and prepared to spring. Just as the glass was about to be within striking distance of the doll, she shot forward, her eyes wide and her pupils barely slits as the adrenaline pumped through her. Using shunpo to appear behind the doll, she pivoted easily as her blade came across in a horizontal slash towards the doll’s chest while her tail whipped forward from behind her in the opposite direction of her slash, attempted to trip the doll with the sheath of her zanpakto. Once her two attacks had finished, she quickly utilized shunpo again to move off to the side and out of the way of the flying pieces of glass she the doll manage to dodge them. Adrenaline pumping through her body, Tessa did not notice as the horns upon her head doubled in length, clearly visible now, and dangerously sharp claws grew from her nails. Red scales covered her entire body, even her face, as her eyes slowly morphed to a yellow hue. A crazy grin was upon her face as she faced down the doll. For once she could fight without restraint, without care, she could do what she wanted to that thing, it was only a doll. She would rip it apart, incinerate its part, kill it, DESTROY IT!!
Without even realizing that she had entered her more draconic form, an ability born from her mixed blood and unique to her, she rushed forward again. It was unlikely that the doll would be able to recognize this form like it could those of shikai, bankai, the basic Shinigami releases, for this was not a release of her zanpakto. Plowing forward like an animal, Tessa used shunpo to clear the distance between the doll and herself. Planting her foot, she sent a punch forward as hard as she could. With her poor ability at hand to hand combat, it was no wonder the attack was easily read due to how much she telegraphed it. However, it wasn’t the only attack coming. As her hand rushed outwards, her tail whipped out from behind her again, this time without the sheath of her blade, and attempted to wrap around the doll’s leg. Being a limb of almost sheer muscle, she attempted to use her strength to rip the limb out from under the doll and throw it to the ground just as the punch would have connected. Should this succeed, her other hand would come down towards the form of the doll as it hit the ground, claws intent on raking through the doll’s face. Once this assault was finished, she once again used shunpo to disconnect from her opponent, appearing upon the edge of the training area on all fours, wings stretched out fully and her tail twitching back and forth behind her.

He merely observed, they both didn't know about the upgrades to them. Though they didn't read reports he suspected from 12th Division. The Doll watched her seeing the glass shot at it, it skillfully avoided it. As for the fire it the doll stood not effected by the flames. It wasn't effected by elemental based attacks. The glass would of worked fine, when the girl struck it's chest she would get an eye opening. The doll's body wouldn't cave to the blow, her's would. It was a poor blow to throw and she would know it, he crossed his arms. Releasing a small amount of reiatsu from his body. Stopping any form of flame from touching he and the other Captain. He wasn't really here for a fight, he watched the female's form. Her questions would have answers later, his lips opened as he spoke during her fight."I'm here to teach you how to be a Captain and see if you have the potential for it." Tetsuya said calmly as the female took her own blow the tail came around, rather then let it wrap around it. The doll stepped back out of range of the tail grabbing it, the creature did something unexpected then. It was stronger and faster then her, it was programmed to force her to grow. It began spinning the female around, it's strength was enough that the tail would either rip off. Or she would meet the following as it slammed her into the ground. The doll stood waiting for her next move, it was reactive for now. It wasn't set in aggressive mode, it was merely reacting to her moves. The reflector was active and they were getting a test out of things. This doll was specially designed to make Tessa grow. [color=red]"I'm here to find out if you have the potential to be a Captain, if you have it I'll unlock it..if not you'll wake in Fourth Division." He said it calmly as the female no doubt understood this fight was to find herself and her potential. She had plenty under the surface, Tetsuya could see it with his Unabara eyes. They were practically the best at spotting the hidden potential of people who were near. She had energy looking for a way out, she was rather dangerous if the truth be told.
Perhaps it would be wise to let Tsubaki his younger sister train the female. It could go very well for Tessa and show her proper Hakuda. But for it was time to observe the situation before him. She'd just learned a great deal more about her enemy, it was fast and quite strong. Not to mention immune to elemental damage, so she would need to figure out a way to defeat it. His frame leaned upon the training area, medics were ready in the rooms for whatever came of it. She wouldn't die the Doll wasn't set to such a dangerous effect. If the truth was let out this doll was about a D to C rank area. Their were far more dangerous Dolls, this thing was something a Captain could use. It was effective and she did fine thus far, but she needed to know. It was learning and studying her, she would have to grow or risk getting beaten to a pulp. Would her anger consume her and destroy her from within or would she find the light and grasp it.

Shin watched as she was striking at it, thought not with much success. She was being very stubborn about this, something wasn't adding up for him. He slowly cracked his neck as he slid up the wall a little bit before glancing about her methods. The dolls weren't 'trickable' or able to be conned. Automaton's and all. He thought that would be obvious. He contemplated what the correct course of action was and denoted it but, before getting there, he'd test her in one more just to gauge her own, base hand to hand capacities. If they were where he surmised and thought they were, this wouldn't go well for her.
"Oi, dragon lady. I don't know how you're planning to do and all but, you need to realize this isn't just a sparring session. That will break you if you don't take it seriously."
Shin stated plainly towards her before shaking his head slightly and reaching into his pocket. Or his shirt anyway. And pulled out a large bag of spicy candies. They were candy coated with a really hot spicy liquid at the center. And he'd soon observe her movements carefully and, when she stopped being on the offensive or attacking it to try and take a breather, he'd use a Shunko-reinforced flick to rocket the candies at her to make her realize that taking a break wasn't an option to push her limits some. Even with her hardened scaly form, they would hit and hurt, not do any damage but they would sting quite a bit. Plus, they'd get sticky hitting her and if any of the liquid got in her eyes, it would hurt so much more than she'd anticipate as he would continue this, flinging candies that on impact, would vaporize into candy dust and a spicy mist.
