Blightning Strikes [Black World Arc || Negative Yoruichi, CLOSED] Empty Blightning Strikes [Black World Arc || Negative Yoruichi, CLOSED]

Song: Fight The Clock — Artist: Two Steps From Hell

There was no warning, no build-up, no ceremony to the events that took place within the Omnitsukido headquarters; the procession was so expertly crafted that nobody seemed to notice it, not until it was too late. A trail of dead bodies was left behind, though hidden. If one was not looking for them, they would not be seen nor sensed. Even for such masters of assassination, whom have hundreds of times over practiced the art of covering tracks, would be unable detect the differences in the air tonight; the handiwork of the murderer was on a whole other level. None since Sui Feng have been so impeccable in the art. For those whom wandered the grounds of the headquarters, though, it did seem to be a little less populated, though that could be blamed on the late hour. The air was clean and fresh, the dither of crickets in the background constant, but something just felt wrong; like a bad gut feeling. Eventually, people would pick up on the circumstances and perhaps find a corpse amongst the scenery, shrouded in faint kido meant to balance between hiding its energy signature and camouflaging the body. By then, dozens of the experienced and powerful members of the Omnitsukido would be dead, and then they themselves might very well be the next target...

Yoruichi had just finished pulling a wakizashi blade from another victim, sliding it at such a deliberate angle that it cleaned the blood from the weapon in the process. Not a single drop of blood spilled, and not a sound had been made. The body was spirited away in a blur, nearly unnoticeable in the dead of night, especially when there was no one to witness it. She placed another camouflaging kido upon it before laying it to rest in a distant patch of foliage apart from where most were likely to tread. When she was finished, she returned to creeping along the Omnitsukido grounds, quieter than a mouse, faster than a cheetah. Her dark skin melded well with the low light, and her special operations uniform was even darker than that. Her hair was not tied up in a ponytail, but rather cut short, barely reaching down to her neck so to not get in the way. It was a shame there would be no one to truly appreciate her features if this game kept on continuing like this. She was dropping them one by one by one, striking precisely at key times and locations to trim their numbers as much as possible before her feats were uncovered. Though at this rate, such a thing happening would be very unlikely. She was using her speed to keep tabs on the premises as a whole, using her inherited knowledge of the area and its secret passages to avoid detection while maintaining efficiency. If anyone came close to discovering a trace of her, she would already be behind them with her blade. She killed without hesitation.

This was not the Yoruichi that the Soul Society was familiar with, despite that she shared her visage and namesake. The Flash Goddess would never commit such an atrocity such as this, eliminating some of the most skilled of the Soul Society for no explicable reason. She had trained a great deal of these people. So, why? What was going on? These questions hung in the air just as the feeling of dread did over the Omnitsukido headquarters, with no answer coming in return. Silence consumed the district, deafeningly so.

The Black World was arriving.

"Oh man..."

A voice let out, as out of the shadows of a nearby light, a figure slowly began to form… and out of this dark patch emerged the man known as Kuro Okami. To call him a man was a bit of a stretch; most of the time, he was little more than a child. However, in this moment, he knew very well what his priority was. His blade rose out of the ground, as a swirl of shadow cloaked around his body, his body vanishing ash e reappeared in front of the woman who attempted to slay all of the Omnitsuko present. "Sorry… but our intel isn't quite that bad."

The shadowy figure explained as his blade stroked out fiercely to the side, causing a wave of shadow to emerge before his body as he leaped back, throwing his hands out in every direction, throwing out a huge burst of energy as the members of the Omnitsuko were blown away, his own body suddenly becoming infused by those shadows once more as twin daggers appeared in his hands, his body bursting forwards.

Rapidly, his hands slashed at the woman, cutting at her throat, right arm, left arm, before hopping back. "…" He considered banter, but the simple fact of the matter was that the enemy before him made him feel… uneasy. He imagined this was the same kind of uneasiness that most people felt around him. After all, he could disappear and reappear among the shadows at whim, using them to aid him in visualizing several different aspects of Soul Society. If he failed here, he imagined that all the Omnitsuko would be wiped out.

It's alright though… He let out a shaky laugh as his nerves began to rattle from the sheer amount of stress against this kind of combatant, even as one hand raised upwards, assuming a defensive stance, his entire body calming as he slowly opened his eyes, looking at his opponent with pure determination. He did not have any idea who she was, or what she was doing here. All he knew was that the Omnitsuko were being overwhelmed, and that was cause enough for extreme concern. What could one shadow-based Shinigami who had never even been an operative accomplish?

That was what they were about to find out….

SHOW ME THE PANCAKES!

Song: Fight The Clock — Artist: Two Steps From Hell

Yoruichi moved soundlessly through the darkness, becoming indistinct from the shadows due to her tact and finesse. Yet it was the very shadows she clung to that discovered her, a being hidden by the power of the umbra. Sui generis, et gravem. But the advantage was wasted, paving the way for Yoruichi to make the first strike against an ample, overt target, and she did. The shadows formed the lean body of a male, with frost white hair in tinsel apparel. He was a christmas tree with flashing lights next to the standard Omnitsukido robe that Yoruichi wore, and likely only got away with it due to his specific ability to meld with the darkness. Through a sleight of hand the dark-skinned woman sent a dagger flying into her grasp, with what only seemed like a flick of the wrist. There was no glint off of the steel in these shadows, only dull onyx racing for the arteries in his neck. She thrust the tip of her Anken with the intent to perforate his throat before his apology was quite yet finished. Even coming out of her surprise, Yoruichi's potent speed would be more than his simple dodge would be able to escape from. And with the enchantment that was imbued in the Anken, this dark one would find it difficult to turn the tip aside.

Fortunately, the wounds caused to his neck would be minimized to manageable cuts even if they reached him. It was somewhat difficult to transition from the art of silent killing to the art of true battle. There were inhibitions that Yoruichi needed to release, for stealth no longer mattered once caught. While she was adjusting, the dark one leaped back toward her with brandished knives, causing her to balance her center of gravity and lower her stance. Prepared for the assault, her single arm lashed out as little more than a dark haze as she rushed to meet the series of strikes with her own Anken. In the case that he struck with a two-pronged attack, she seemed to be able to clash with both nearly simultaneously, as though her arm was in existing in duality; in two places at once. There was an invisible aegis, wherein the woman would not allow a single attack to get through without intercepting it and deflecting it. The radius of that aegis was the same as her arm's length. And after a cacophony of metallic chimes, the exchange ceased and her foe leaped back once again.

Her pupils narrowed into slits, their animal-like nature taking hold as she got her first good look at the male. The gloom made him hard to discern, but her feline aspects granted her an unnatural edge in sight. And with it, she saw every glistening drop of sweat, every nervous shiver, and every stutter in his pulse. For what audacity the boy began with, he now was colored with tension. Her left hand twirled the Anken blade around in her palm so that the tip was pointed downward, and even more difficult to see. At the same time, her right rose up and threatened the would-be hero of the Omnitsukido with the wakizashi she had been holding at her side the entire time. ''...'' She answered him with symmetrical reticence, not truly a woman of words herself. An assassin was a tool for a job; her body acting in the reverie of killing apart of a conscious. The dark-skinned woman was simply a murderer, nothing more and nothing less. Therefore, talk would be wasted here.

Her next step occurred after two seconds: with faultless articulation Yoruichi performed the Senka. That single step moved her past her prey with what would be incomprehensible speed to most. There was a gentle curve to her trajectory that allowed her to get behind the man, and strike at his most vulnerable pressure points. The wakazashi gracefully would slip into the poor fool's back twice—no more and no less—should he not muster the ability to react fast enough to the attack. Yoruichi was capitalizing on his latent fear, believing it would immobilize him on the spot. If so, then her speed and precision with the blade would take out his Chain Binding and Soul Sleep in the time it would take him to blink, sealing away his power and likely his life. Directly proceeding this attack, Yoruichi would not be found from where she'd made her attacks, having used the Kageresu Shissou to flash step away in utter silence, the movement hidden in his eye's blind spot—something Yoruichi had extensive knowledge with. And needless to say, the woman maintained her shroud of spiritual energy to keep from being detected otherwise.

There was only one indication of where Yoruichi may have gone; the Anken that was hurled at the dark one's heart. The ebon blade was nigh unobservable under the night sky, and made worse by the speed at which it was thrown. It would be easier to hear the subtle whistle of air as the dagger traveled through the air than to see it in flight. The attack was sent as a follow-up in the case where Yoruichi's Senka did not immediately take him down. An even more tenuous strike, from another angle entirely, likely unexpected. Senka was not intended to fail, but if it did, then it at least served as a distraction. Then, from another angle different from both of the attacks, Yoruichi lied in concealment again to watch, to witness the fruits of her labor.

Music of Combat: Terminal by Renard

The man known as Kuro observed as a dagger raced into the woman's hand, his eyes rapidly acquiring this fact even as his left arm shot out, the black darkness that covered its flesh melding with the shade around the combatants as it rested before his neck, the long fingers catching the blade as it entered into his palm. Without stopping, the elongated arm came back to rest, taking the blade directly without thinking about turning it aside.

His own body was prepared for combat even as the two of them entered into conflict, the knives of his Zanpakutō slashing out rapidly as he heard the clash of steel, watching carefully as she held back his dual-pronged assault. He took note of that particular aegis, his own eyes following her movements as she deflected and countered each of his attacks. He used this opportunity to learn about the woman he was fighting against. However, the problem appeared to be the fact that she had no blind spots. The aegis, no matter which angle he slashed at it from, seemed to deny each of his strokes. At last, he leaped back as that peculiar stress overcame his body, realizing that this was a case that was truly do or die. There would be no second chances. There would be no easy outs. This is what it meant to truly be a Captain, to the man standing there. For while he could only stand by as Captain after Captain of his own died; he realized that for the first time, this was his own turn. It was time for him to fight for something he believed in, even if it cost him his life.

He was totally fine with her silence; there was no problem at all with it to him. And so it was that that tension, that sweat, that pounding of his heart; all of it came to a gradual stop. The Captain relaxed, truly relaxed, and for the first time, he felt the clarity of mind that came with the experience of life and death combat. Perhaps it was fear; perhaps it was the abandonment of that negative emotion. Whatever had possessed him, it was an emotion that went far deeper than his familiar reactions. He was given two seconds; nothing more and nothing less. However, his body understood. His heart was in tandem, and together they faced the oncoming desecration that sought to dismantle him from his very core.

His eyes recognized the Senka as it came spiraling towards him; but his own Shunpo rapidly occurred as well. As she reached for his most vital pressure points, the cuts and blades slashed forwards, and in all normal instances the man would have been killed, right there and then. However, it was not just one man that was facing the woman before him. His peculiar black left arm repeatedly dashed, stretching and elongating as fingers struck out rapidly, taking on the damage from the many slashes and stabs. The outside of his skin was pierced, but the cuts were not deep; they remained only surface wounds. Meanwhile, long strands of black blood appeared around that arm, drifting and splashing about in every direction as it moved unceasingly, its pace like that of shunpo as the unnatural arm defended its owner.

You're seriously going to die.

The single phrase raced through the Shinigami's mind as he winced, feeling a slash at his back cut against the bone of his back with a sickening sound. The hand had not been able to reach in time, his own blades too far away as his mouth opened from pain. He was scared, yes. He was terrified. He did not want to die. But on the other hand… he had also decided that he did not want to lose. When the final attack came, she would likely be surprised. Her calculations would be seen as totally wrong, as the man known as Kuro Okami's body had shifted positions, finally performing a single Shunpo himself as his blade met directly with hers, sparks racing about as his body flipped about in its tinseled garment, a smile appearing on his face as he watched her warp away, far away, the black hand finally moving upwards at last as it pointed directly into his blind spot…

And there, his sword transformed. Where once the blade had been had been replaced. A metallic gun, ebony black, had taken its position, and without looking two shots fired, one smashing into the Anken that was flying towards him, the other towards her heart. As it fired, his other hand reached backwards, gripping around the blade's hilt as he tossed his own blade high into the sky. His body finally lowered its center of gravity as he pointed the gun forwards, clicking the trigger.

However, there were no shots fired. There was no noise, there was no gunpowder. What this gun was firing was Darkness. Bullets of pure, piercing Darkness, shining with a malevolent energy. This was the truth of the division Thirteen Captain; the man was a Ziamichi. The spirit that had infected his body in the Wastelands was protecting its foolish host. The experience it had gathered through the last two years of watching over Kuro were not wasted. Certainly, it would normally have been difficult to see. However, for the man who stood in darkness, it was no problem at all. The speed was problematic, and that was the reason why a small drop of blood was now drifting out of his chest; small black filaments had appeared around his fingertips when his bare hand could not hold back the Anken, a decision that had been made in an instant.

At last, he stood there, holding the Anken, blood dripping from the wounds she had given him, red and black blood dripping downwards as it covered the wooden floor of the Gotei below. He considered speech for a moment, but decided there would be no purpose as the blade in his right hand and the gun in his left began to shine a dull purple. Like neon lights, these did not strain the eyes to look at or diminish the darkness; they merely existed. In this state, his Shikai had been activated. The Darkness around them began to move rapidly, as all around Yoruichi's body the dark aspect of where she was standing became a dull gray.

All of that darkness raced towards Kuro, entering inside of his body as his eyes glowed peculiarly. Finally, where Yoruichi was laying would have a patch of that gray become totally black, as Kuro's body vanished into a pool of darkness. Out of the darkness that had been reactivated, the Anken flew out, sending it right back at its master as Kuro's body reappeared before hers, a second arm of Darkness appearing out of his shoulder as it gripped around his blade. The long arm which held the gun began moving rapidly as Piero joined the fray, his bullets firing out from the darkness and the hand that possessed the gun making great slashes at her body. Finally, his left arm slashed and reached to grab around her entire body, attempting to hold her in place as he gripped around both daggers, pointing forwards as the short blades slid in an arcing motion…

And as they did so, great pools of darkness appeared around them, before expanding outwards as if they were becoming longswords. By slashing both arms forwards, spikes began to emerge from the very ground as a wave of Darkness was thrust towards the woman, a wave which would shoot towards her as it attempted to cover her legs with little holes, and completely remove her feet. At last, the man's body began to glow with that darkness once more as it completely spread over his white hair and body, making him nothing more than a shadow himself as a peculiar noise was released, his body vanishing. It was not a Shunpo. It was not a Sonido. It sounded partly like a Shunpo but instead of the swooping noise being released, there was only the sound of wind being cut.

His body began racing rapidly, stopping and restarting once again. His body lead forwards with his blades as he continually passed by her body, his eyes and Piero's watching her own weapons carefully as he did his best to break through that grip she maintained, relying on his Zanpakutō and the skills that had earned him his Captainship. At last, his body came to a pause, as all f the darkness in the room had been 'used up', a pair of black sunglasses appearing on his face as he stared directly at her. These Sunglasses were not for show; these were his optical enhancers. Ever since he had first released his Shikai, these dark sunglasses had stayed with him. Even as a captain, he could not stand the bright light that had always been leading him onwards. That light he had seen in Jenna, in Xaver, in Tsubasa, and… in Kaminari. This woman… she lacked that light, that fervor. She was the opposite. She was of the darkness. She was like him.

So he fought, the shadowy arm dissipating as the black arm abandoned its shadow weapon, the black metal fading into dust as it wrapped its huge fingers around the blade once more, as his mouth gently opened. "YES! WAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!" The Jester laughed from within Kuro's body as the red star-mark on his face shown bright, his cursed companion supporting him as he joined in that laughter, waiting for whatever doom lay in wait for him at the end of his dark road…

AT LAST, I MUST FIGHT!

Blightning Strikes [Black World Arc || Negative Yoruichi, CLOSED] Empty Re: Blightning Strikes [Black World Arc || Negative Yoruichi, CLOSED]

Song: Fight The Clock — Artist: Two Steps From Hell

As her foe once more located her new position near instantly as she hid, Yoruichi would rule out the benefits of the tactic against him. For someone who played with darkness as he did, for her to use it as cover seemed counter-intuitive. He had cognizance beyond the basic six senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, and spirit, though she did not fully comprehend the fundamentals of it. It was best to assume that he could always determine her location at least as fast as his mind could process the information, and not waste effort attempting to conceal herself when it could put her into more dangerous positions than otherwise. The tell was obvious, as an umbral projectile surged toward her heart with fair accuracy. It was not fast enough to surprise someone of her caliber, but it could have been the end of anyone else. Standing out in the open now, she clenched her teeth beneath her lips in slight frustration, having flash stepped perpindicularly to the bullet's path to avoid it. She slid slightly across the ground from the rushed momentum, but otherwise quickly secured her feet on one of the feebly lit paths running through the Omnitsukido grounds. Her stance was slightly lowered, prepared for any other sudden movements, albeit her foe's pace did not warrant much celerity. She could use the excess time to throw in more attacks, but it was dangerous to do so against a foe with such... unique abilities. Yoruichi of the Black World was not a reckless individual whatsoever.

The man's gun pointed at her once again, and Yoruichi lightened her weight from her feet, bouncing on the heels. As she saw his finger squeeze the trigger, she would seem to float to the side as though she were weightless, easily clearing the blast in time. The second shot came and Yoruichi would reverse direction near instantaneously, using her light weight to reverse the momentum and fool her opponent if he even needed to be. It was a small but graceful display of footwork that threaded the dark-skinned woman in and throughout the weave of bullets. In a way, she did not even need to observe the projectiles herself in order to determine their paths of flight, even though her cat-like eyes gave her that uncanny vision; so long as she knew when the gun was fired and had a good idea of their velocity, the evasion was trivial. When the volley had finished, Yoruichi had returned to her original position in the same stance, relaxing the bounce she had worked up to conserve energy. She was back in an observant state, well enough to see the dark plasma seeping from his new wound. It would seem that he would not have been as lucky as she, though he seemed only slightly perturbed by the fact. Now in a parallel reality, perhaps another variant of Yoruichi would have smirked at the small victory, but not this one. Her face was stone cold, emotionless, and unyielding, taking the order of events as matter-of-fact. This was not something that she sought to take confidence in, but rather another flaw that she sought to take advantage of. A wound was not just a wound; it was a vulnerability that needed to be addressed, or kept with him for the remainder of the fight.

Yoruichi furrowed her brows as the man suddenly dipped into the ground as though it were made of fluid, and immediately she was on guard again. She took note of the increasing darkness surrounding her, making a logical conclusion that the next attack would come from below by the basis of both his shadow technique and his disappearance into the depths of the earth. Sure enough, her own ebon knife spewed from the great shadow below her. Using the same swift bounces from earlier, she hopped a few feet back and reached out, carefully avoiding the Anken's razor edges to snatch the weapon by its hilt. And it was a good thing too as the dark one came back into the light in front of her. She went a full one-hundred and eighty, pressing her weight down and resuming a firm stance low to the ground to employ her defensive bubble. She used both hands this time, one hand with her Anken to blot out the dark bullets with its energy-cancelling attributes, and the other hand with her wakizashi to clash back and forth with his blade in turn. The space between them was filled with splashes of shadowy smog and silvery sparks while they clashed for a while, and once again she proved he could not pierce this sort of defense like that.

He learned quickly this time, subverting his strategy and instead trying to grapple around her, but Yoruichi adjusted to it just as fast. His dark tendril would grasp for her body, but be blasted back by a violent gust of wind and sound. The concussive wave smashed straight into the dark one with able force to knock him off his feet and perhaps the weapons from his hands. Upon striking him it would likely leave him dazed with double vision, stuck with the sound of incessant ringing in his ears to overwhelm all other sounds. The ground where Yoruichi once stood, but did no longer, cracked violently and blasted outward as earthen shrapnel to shred through anything soft within several dozen meters. She'd moved with such a potent velocity that the sudden displacement had caused a destructive reaction as a result, desecrating the ground with mere speed. All attacks he'd tried to make against her would be pushed away by the forces, and once against she'd have eluded them. Rather than again this time, she appeared as a blur beside the dark one in a very unusual position. She was standing straight up for the most part, but had also raised one of her legs to such a height that it was above her head. The moment her visage would register in her foe's mind, however, she'd unleash a devastating drop kick straight onto him. Her leg would snap down like it was part of a machine, crushing whatever was in its way. The ground from the impact would splinter and depress into a crater, as massive billows of smoke and dust surged outward from the epicenter. Admittedly this attack was against the woman's standards for a stealth operation, but on hit, it was as good as a death blow. If the dark one hadn't already warned his allies now, then they'd surely know by now. Thankfully... most of the Shinigami nearby were dead anyways, thanks to what's been happening on the sidelines as Yoruichi distracted this one.

After the kick, the mocha-skinned woman hopped back twice and skidded to a stop in a straight up stance. That attack would have finished off most foes, but on the chance that it failed her, she did not take any chances. Seeing him breathe would cause her to raise her sword once more, turning her body slightly to the side as she pointed its tip threateningly toward his heart. ''Nice shades,'' she remarked in a dull voice, revealing just how apathetic she truly was. If her half-lidded eyes often depicting boredom did not give that away, the lifeless tone would. By now, the ringing would have worn off enough for him to hear what was being said, just barely. ''I do not know your name, and have not seen you before in the Soul Society. Is this your first fight? Are you freshly seated or simply insignificant? Your veins quake and your blood rushes like a newborn recruit. I cannot say which is worse; the callowness with which you fight, or the incompetency of the Soul Society in that you are the first to notice me.'' Her taunts were harsh despite the coldness she delivered them with. It was a common strategy to offset one's opponent in such a way, but there was something odd about Yoruichi's use of the tact. After a short pause, she continued, her words like sticks beating against his bones. ''The Soul Society has surely fallen from its glory days, but oh well... It's about time you arrived.'' The way she spoke now lingered with a feeling of dread, especially at the end. Before, Yoruichi hadn't a reason to speak, but now she let loose words so frivelously. And that final statement...

Artist: Celldweller - Song: The Lucky One

''Hahahahahahaha!''

From all angles, yet none; everywhere, but nowhere, a sinister laugh flowed through the air, echoing off of every surface as though the environment was plagued with ghosts of the night. This mysterious feminine voice would eventually be pinpointed to one location as it formed an answer to Yoruichi's comment, and it was directly behind Kuro with the tip of a claw pressing against the back of his clothing. ''Oh, we ran into a bit of trouble. Too much blood, too many rolling heads, fufu~'' This was the opposite of Yoruichi's violent flash step, as Sui Feng appeared in utter silence, surprisingly so. She was thankful to her mentor, who had the thoughtfulness of mind to speak, covering the sound of every step she made with a syllable of her words. Anybody who could hear her voice would have their ears adjust to such a volume, such that her arrival was silent. However, it was not just Sui Feng who had sojourned into the Soul Society with Yoruichi, but dozens of other black-clad Omnitsukido members as well. For every individual in this reality, the Black World had a copy. Each of them brandished a blade of some sort, slick with the blood of their alter-ego, as Sui Feng had ordered them to kill their counterparts. They appeared as though they had always been standing there watching, but just couldn't be seen. Now, every where Kuro turned his head, there they were, with killer intent.

If her succulent prey did not immediately escape, then Sui Feng would tease the skin of his back with Suzumebachi, planting her Homonka marks in multiple different places, but never the same one. Each prod would draw a small globule of blood that could fit on the nub of a finger. Otherwise, she'd not mind if he escaped, because she did not always like to end things early. She grinned mischieviously either way, clearly pleased with herself. Oh, was it satisfying to see the mutilated bodies of all those poor, startled Shinigami. They wore the faces of her comrades, but weren't; it was an odd mixture of feelings that she could only describe as great. Killing them was a shot in the arm, and she was high on the experience. But in the midst of her mission, came all this noise from over in this general direction. It was funny that her master of all people was the one who got caught first, laughable irony. She supposed it was time to pull her ass out of the fire and pick off this dark little one for her. She looked at the young man almost lustfully, once again letting out a playful giggle.

Suddenly, Sui Feng arched her weapon hand back, spreading her fingers and extending them to their length as if preparing to claw someone. This would be proceeded by a flash step that caused her to lurch forward in a missile of black blurs and the golden streak that was Suzumebachi. She started with a swipe as soon as she landed her dominant foot in front of Kuro, enough to drive a cut through his chest with the claw of her Zanpakutō. Through this movement came a great gust of wind that wasn't intensely powerful, but strong enough to push him back. The intent was to hold him and his attacks back, preventing him from taking aim at her or striking at her in the space of time after her initial slash. It was a buffer that allowed her to follow into her next step: Her weapon arm was now crossed against her chest, so she pushed her body forward and launched her elbow into his stomach with such battery that it might cause him to upchuck his dinner. Fortunately, Sui Feng would not be there if that was the case, as she displayed her profound speed and footwork to move away. She pirouetted in a quarter circle with her opponent as the focus, using her counter-clockwise momentum to launch a roundhouse kick straight into the back of his head from his left side. Even if the direct kick did not land, there was enough power behind the kick to dish out collateral damage by just coming close, possibly knocking him off his feet that way. The spin would continue even still, and Sui Feng would launch a volley of eight Anken from her blurred form while still managing impressive accuracy. They were scattered enough that it was difficult to block or evade all of them, but close enough together that not acting at all would be the worst outcome for him.

By the time she stopped her revolutions, she would crouch low to the ground with one hand pressed against the concrete ground. The squad of the Omnitsukido mostly just formed a wide circle around the battle, creating a barrier of sorts to cage their prey, but Yoruichi would walk forward wordlessly from the bunch in a very casual manner. Sui Feng would rise up to height with a wry smirk plastered on her face, still eyeing Kuro with her sinister expression. Yoruichi would stop just beside her student, with an contradicting stone look. They raised their weapons simultaneously, Yoruichi with her wakizashi, and Sui Feng with her gauntlet, aiming them at the Soul Sleep and Chain Binding of their opponent, respectively. While one was still quiet as ever, the little bee herself couldn't help but remark in tongue-in-cheek fashion: ''It always is a pleasure working with you Yoruichi-sama~''

Many would question why Tetsuya had come here in much of the things. Tetsuya was a suspicious man above all else. He was an educated fighter, strategist, and assassin. But his gut instincts told him something was wrong about this place, they'd been silent. So investigation was needed, he vanished off the face of the earth. No pressure, nothing left of him Tetsuya was trained by what some argue the greatest assassin to live. His father cast a large shadow that much was certain, he glanced at the scene before him as he arrived. His reiatsu, smell, and even breathing were gone using special moves. Plants covered his scent by creating a stronger smell then normal, his zanpaktuo's earth qualities allowed him to evaluate the situation before entering. Judging the appearance of these two they were Soi Fon and Yoruichi of the second Division. Their personalities seemed somewhat off, he listened to them speak calmly. Watching as Kuro was left open, he figured the male could handle himself. He needed to find an opening and strike, they were Captains. This was their arena and they needed to fight correctly. He made no sounds and allowed no signs of his presence to be detected yet, he watched them closely. Studying his prey like an animal hunting, his eyes were like that of any Beast. Sizing them up and taking each one in, he was well aware of their speed. Both had a reputation for being quick, he estimated their speed around his father's level. Roughly he suspected Yoruichi was faster then Soi Fong, merely by what he could see. Their bodies were similar and different at the same time, Soi Fong was built scrawny and with a smaller body and Yoruichi was slightly more toned. Something that came from training pretty hard to get that way, he would need to step in and attack both at once. How to perform this fight was the question, they both had energy beyond what he could access at the moment. His mind flashed back to fighting people of their speed level, reflex's and muscles told him what to do.

First and foremost they were going to need help, so he did something only he and his family knew how to do. He sent off a silent butterfly, it was a hell butterfly that required no energy. This little creature would find one strong and willing to help, it was directed to the Iramasha. Since the situation was unknown to him yet, his eyes watched for a moment longer. Tetsuya had to do this part carefully but he didn't see a way to come in, Yoruichi herself left few openings. Soi Fong was fast enough to make up for most openings he'd seen. He was a quick fighter, but not through Shunpo he could keep up with her for the most part. But both of them would be troublesome, he thought calmly and decided to make his move. His presence didn't waver once as he silently appeared behind Yoruichi. Like a hunting beast no smell, no sounds, not even a trace of reiatsu reached the air. He made sure he came in out of Soi Fon's view as well, the first thing to do was to attack them both at the same time. He didn't even let Kuro be aware of his presence yet he made a swipe with his sword at Yoruichi's spine. The blade made no sounds or even a whisper within the air, the assassination move of his family. At this exact moment plants and earth wrapped around Soi Fon's legs. This was merely to by time for a spike of metal coming from the earth, Tetsuya was fairly sure Yoruichi would dodge his move. So he needed to be prepared properly and ready to battle with her and the student. This situation had gone on long enough, the male would have to fight silent for now. Whatever came next was up to thought but he knew not to come in blind. Around his body was an earth shield, it was blended in with his skin and body. At the points he suspected the Soi Fon would attack, they were blended in perfectly with clothing and body to prevent suspect of him. His approach had been flawless, no wind or anything to give him away as he attacked the two. Tetsuya didn't bother revealing his presence yet, making his move on the two quickly.

The sending for help was complete and now it was time to stall, Tetsuya could do this two ways. Continue to attack them at their own game, he was trained after all. Familiar with Shunko as well since he fought his father who used it also. The only difference was that he was capable of fighting Hakuda more effectively. What was the best answer for this fight, should he try to be a target in the middle of the enemies like Kuro? No Captain Kuro had to fight his way and Tetsuya would fight this in his own fashion. Once help arrived they could hopefully dispose of these two and deal with the more dangerous threat. Something troubled Tetsuya more then anything else, as he finished the swing of his blade. Where was the Head Captain, he wasn't sure what the leader could be doing. Tetsuya knew Iriko was an introvert but this was pushing things wasn't it? He made sure his swing left no openings, he could easily use Hakuda to cover it up. Tetsuya was a seasoned warrior and had been fighting for a long time. He also was quite familiar with assassins, Soi Fon and Yoruichi had likely figured out a way to get around this. It was hard to say what would come next, this was a battle unlike anything he'd seen in a while. The fights going on here were almost like a new dawn, Tetsuya's eyes focused on the two. He was the Beast and these two were prey and nothing more. They both were strong and even the strong can be hunted when done properly. He'd made every move with calculations on to the next level, their speed had been measured against his fathers. With everything in all the calculations complete and the time to put them into practice. It was time to pull back the curtain and prepare for battle. He finished the sword swing making sure it was a clean cut, if he was able to connect on Yoruichi's body. That was good she had some blood and he could hopefully keep track of her. Tetsuya was ready for this and would battle till someone arrived.

If none arrived then the Beast would unleash his power, this fight couldn't stay hidden for too long. He'd given that butterfly the instructions needed to get help from the Iramasha. One may ask why did Tetsuya seek the Iramasha over other Captains. Because they needed some teeth, nothing like that existed right now that could aid them. Captain Ibiki wasn't present, the Second Division Captain was still a novice. The only choices were Kuro and himself for the moment, they would defend this place. Yamamoto, Xavier, Tsubasa, and Iriko, these people protected this place. Many different ways and different styles, but at the end of the day it would come down to who did what. Actions spoke louder then words, he was well prepared for this battle and was ready to show it. Tetsuya knew the fight wouldn't be easy and would require some strategy and fierceness. Good thing he was still like a hollow, his instincts and blood burned. They were on fire and battle could begin now, he held his sword at the ready. His eyes and the area around him properly prepared for the next attack, the earth wasn't quite what it appeared underneath.

Now to dance with the devil in the pale moon light.

Blightning Strikes [Black World Arc || Negative Yoruichi, CLOSED] Empty Re: Blightning Strikes [Black World Arc || Negative Yoruichi, CLOSED]

[PLAY POSTING MUSIC]

Artist: Legaia 2 - Song: God's Fist - Word Count: 2093

Numerous distress signals came from the barracks of The Onmitsukidō. From the way things were shaping up to be? The infection of the inverse realm was spreading and tainting the true Soul Society. Therefore, more urgent actions needed to take place in order to help bring an end to this dark crusade. Henceforth, to help their allies, The Iramasha Guard picked up the transmission of a Hell Butterfly and decided to send in their finest to assist with the problematic invasion. And, out of everyone to be sent, The Leader of the Iramasha Military himself saw fit to deal with two of history's most infamous Shinigami.

However, he understood that these were not the real versions of those fighters as well. There were many different sources of information coming in, but the most accurate had to have came from the woman who helped build him into the man he is: The Devil of Boundaries -- Yukuri Iramashsa. While all other Iramasha Forces were busy dealing with the tactical side of the war, The Mistress of The Border had been preoccupied with analyzing the contents of the incident and discovered that reflections of a persons spirit were being produced from this world. Thus, when she shared this information with others in the Iramasha Clan, The Hell Hound could only deduce that these radical actions from the Shinigami represented their ties to this twisted inverse realm.

Ergo, as more reports from the Gotei Thirteen were shared along the telepathic line of communication through their research division, Koichi started gaining more insight into the battle. From what he could gauge from the report? It was apparent enough that these two figures were giving each of the Captains a difficult time. They managed to bypass the Gotei Thirteen's defenses and have a group of mercenaries working under them break through. At the rate things were going? If someone didn't step in, they'd surely lose this fight.

As a result of this, he mobilized a small squadron of Iramasha Elite to follow alongside him in this mission to help take back the Second Division. Their objective was to neutralize the threat, secure the Seireitei and vanquish anything that gets in their way. Short, sweet and simple.

And to further help this directive, both Koichi and the Iramasha Guards themselves were given insight by The Devil of Boundaries. In order to avoid mixing any Saca Dila, the apparent term for these creatures, with the actual and true reflections of the spirit? They were given a means spiritual awareness to help them sort through these targets. Based on the fact that all of these warriors have sharp senses for energy detection, The Royal Devil shared with them the common frequency that the spirits of the Inversed Souls operated on in order to help avoid confusion. Much like there are different types of sound, the pulsation in which these entities gave off were fairly different to the ones of their native worlds and they'd be equipped to cope with that fact to avoid friendly fire in this incursion.

So, with all their gear set, there was nothing left to do but venture forth and pray for the best. They'd have one shot to otherwise make a swift and successful assault on them, so they would need to use their element of surprise with Chaos Warp to bring down the numbers. In light of that, Koichi Iramasha ordered that all subjects taking part in this mission become enhanced by the allure of the Master Gem owned by the Shrine Guardian: Reimu Iramasha.

Given the fact that this sacred stone could amplify ones physical and spiritual powers to heighten extents of power, they all felt a general sense of strength flowing through them from this augmentation. If nothing else, they'd be three times stronger, faster and durable then before for a long enough duration of time to hopefully put the coffin in these scum.

[CHANGE THE TRACK HERE]

Therefore, with all their tools ready, the lone wolf stood upon The Edge of Iramasha ready to give the order at any second to embark on this operation. With the winds whirling and thrashing against the male's bare chest and raven black hair, The Hellhound's errie black ears twitched at the sounds he detected from the hell beneath Iramasha Island's reach. Clenching on to his blackened pants out of anger for this outbreak of destruction and mayhem, The Military Leader scowled and the glowing ember of his crimson red eyes could pierce a sense of dread into the bravest of souls for the rage he felt now.

"Alright men: let Operation Negative Strike begin."

In those gruff and swift words, the trigger was pulled and the bullet of the Iramasha Clan were ready to hit its mark on these bastards. For this reason, numerous men in shadow hued cloaks emerged at the hound's side from rays of bright white light. All of them were muscular and each of them had on their iron clothing a mark of the Iramasha Clan's symbol in a white color on their center backside to represent who they truly were. With one single affirming shout, they followed their leader into the jaws of combat and faded away with a scarlet glow from the tip of Iramasha Island.

Then, following the point of locking on to each of the negative shinigami's life force, The Iramasha Military positioned their teleporation spells to summon them directly behind each inversed The Onmitsukido member. From there, they would release a dangerous and explosive amount of power on their spines in the form of a concentrated beam of energy. From the enriching properties of the master gem, combined with their relatively high level of power, they sought to blow through the backsides of each Iron-Clad force and render them either incapacitated or outright dead.

Occurring in brief flashes of light, they then warped themselves to the top of each Inversed Shinigami in order to flatten them further with another pin-point and focused chaos blast to the base of their skulls. This was done in the hopes that they would compound the first assault on top of this one in order to cripple their foes and further leave them a bloodied and burnt corpse.

All the while, Koichi himself went directly for the big dog, or, in this case, big cat. Emerging out a vortex that emerged in milliseconds to the side of Yoruichi, The Hell Hound leaped into action and sought to align his shoulder with the vertical position of The Flash Goddess's side. Then, in this break-neck moment of speed and teleportion, the male shifted his weight and sent rush of Chaos Energy towards the centermost point of his left elbow. Combining the dense amounts of energy being produced, the swiftness of his timing and the high volumes of kinetic energy associated with this strike; Koichi aimed to either inflict significant damage upon her and quite possibly knock her unconscious with this damning blow to the neck combined with his raw physical strength, potent energy and nimble speed.

"Purr for me."

And with those words spoken, Koichi wasted no time and kept his mind and body moving. In another Chaos Warp, Koichi re-positioned himself to the front of Yoruichi. In a shift move, Koichi utilized his warping technique to try and get the edge up on this sinister Shinigami and grab her shoulders. From there, the intent was to pull her body downward with a hard amount of force. Which, in doing so, yielded the feasibility of cracking the very bones in her joints with his augmented strength.

Following that, the next move was to bring his knee up in a quick motion, draw her head to it and bash it against the bone of his kneecap to inflict a strong amount of damage. Combined, with all of these attacks, the injuries which could be induced on her body varied anywhere from shattered bones, to rupturing organs and typical things such as cuts or bruises.

However, with each physical attack he made, there was an illumination of red Chaos Energy. So, from harnessing the power of seals, Koichi intended to make this a double-edged attack and sought to compress the waves of spiritual energy flowing within Yoruichi. This could result in her body feeling fatigued, reactions becoming sluggish and body eventually being slowed when it comes to the time it takes to release attacks and her infamous movement.

Koichi was skilled in the art of sealing, and he was no fool when it came to the knowledge of his opponent. So combining these two elements with his hand-to-hand experience, speed, energy and relatively sharp mind; the potency of these strikes dared to at least make her remember the mark of the Hell Hound in some shape or form. He understood that sh e was one of the fastest beings in existence, so the objective was to catch her off guard, by surprise or bypass it all with teleporation. Then, when he touches her, the binding would begin and the playing field would be further tipped in the scales of The Iramasha Guard's favor.

Was it a dirty move? Perhaps. But The Iramasha could care less about it when they are in the middle of all out war. Through the brutal training of The Devil Iramasha Clan, he was taught for a young age to do whatever it took to ensure your victory -- by any means necessary. And while he was not one to sacrifice his men to achieve the task as his father was, Koichi would do anything he needed to heighten his chances of victory.

Which is why he commanded that his reinforcements come in groups of twelve across every division of the Gotei Thirteen and further beyond into the Seireitei and other districts of the Soul Society. Coming in clusters of twelve, these men were embellished with the power of The Iramasha's Master Gem. And, thus, were in a position to create sacred barriers of the utmost strength to prevent any further intruders from entering into their realm. These barriers served to provide a strong resistance against spacial or dimensional opening, heavy striking physical attacks and damning blows from energy attacks.

They were all working together through Chaos Sync as a collective unit to pull in this victory and Koichi was determined to lead them down the path of victory as his heart surged with anxiety. So, feeling the adrenaline kick in, the extended grip of Koichi's tail then attempted to swat away Soi-Fong as he transferred a high amount of Chaos Energy into that extension of himself to swat her away with enough physical force to flatten a mountain, bu directed and guided solely to explode upon her body following the attacks Tetsuya made.

Then, with his eyes still on Yoruichi, The Hell Hound smirked and uttered these words:

"Let's play a bit of cat and dog and ask the ultimate question: do you have a chicken or a pig in there, Flash Goddess?"

Then, with a glance back to Kuro and Tetsuya, Koichi nodded his head and sent a telepathic message to him.

'You. Shinigami. If you can't fight, then you need to evacuate this area quickly. I can't assure your safety if you intend to stay and we'll allow you cover to leave if you must. Once you give me the signal, I'll warp you out of here'

Words urgent and fast, the Hell Hound knew he needed to get these messages out as quickly as he could as time was of the essence when dealing with these women. So, he then directed the next line to Tetsuya:

'And if you can't handle Soi-Fon, TELL ME. We'll need to coordinate and act as a unit. Gauging from what I know of Yoruichi, I know I'm on par with her to fight. So, if you can handle her associate, we may have this.'

Thus, with the cards laid out, Koichi finished his messages and left the lines of communication open for each of the Shinigami to send their mental thoughts back to him by connecting them all through trait lines of Chaos Energy syncing them all together.

Only time would tell if these strategies would prove to have an effect, but The Hell Hound was banking on something sticking. They couldn't afford to lose this battle at the rate things were going for the Soul Society. So, with those worrying thoughts in the back of his head, the male pressed forward and hoped that everything would turn out in their favor.

I'm being serious here!

Captain of Squad 13

~K~u~r~o~O~k~a~m~i~

Music of Combat: There's No Sympathy For the Dead by Escape the Fate

"Huff… huff…"

Breaths were released from his body as Kuro felt the extent of his wounds, the blood dripping from his back as they dripped back along his shirt, the white garment that slowly covered along his back emerging as he looked at Yoruichi, his arms folding across his chest as the blast of pure force she sent his way crashed into his body, knocking him back a bit as his eyes opened wide, seeing the woman standing in front of him.

… Piero…! He thought to himself as his arm hardened significantly, the cloak of his captain's uniform becoming totally white as it brushed along his body, wrapping rapidly around his now solidified left arm as he held it high over his head, protecting it as he let out a cry.

As her foot came down onto the limb, a loud crunch could be head as the bone shattered and broke beneath the force, but the arm did not budge. Kuro's pain endurance was not enough to hold on, as he felt himself beginning to black out a bit on the edge of his consciousness before gritting his teeth hard, deciding to endure it as his body began to shake, attempting to divert her leg around as he was sent flying away from her, his body slamming into the nearby wall with a huge noise as the air was forcibly knocked out of him, his body crumpling to the ground as he balled his right fist, slamming the limb into the ground as he forced himself to get up.

"Thanks… they belong to my partner." Kuro told her with a small smile through the pain, wincing violently as he gripped his left arm in his hands, before his face turned downwards, before flailing upwards as he let out a cry, the arm shooting straight out as the white cloak wrapped all around the shattered part, firmly forming a cast as it wrapped around it tightly, creating a kind of arm guard as he looked at her eyes. "I am the Thirteenth Captain: Kuro Okami. It is true; I have never fought one like yourself, not ever! I… am rusty." He half complained, half explained as he felt a sudden shiver run down his spine; his animal instincts from his Zanpakutō kicking into high gear as she mentioned that someone else had arrived.

His head turned as he witnessed the other who had emerged, before gripping onto his Zanpakutō firmly in his right hand, looking at the new opponent as he slowly calmed down, his left arm expanding once more as Piero's black arm became claw-like once more. "...Well… and I thought I was dead before…. I wonder what comes next, anyway?" He mused aloud, his mind calming as his blade slowly entered into his left palm, his eyes slowly opening as shadows began to convene on his location, almost sparking as his spiritual pressure began to dramatically increase…

And finally, the Captain Kuro Okami began to release his spiritual pressure, slowly opening his eyes as the pressure of a Shinigami Captain descended down onto the area, the blade in his hand changing as it quickly evolved into two swords, both entering into his hands as they gained the properties of shadows, his face staring at the new opponent as well as keeping Yoruichi in sight as he faced the newcomer, before he casually tossed the blades into the air.

"Cut and Divide…. Kuro no Ami Inu!"

His body then wrapped around the five blades that had emerged, the intense balance and focus which his Bankai granted causing his eyes to glow as he held one in his teeth, one in his right shoulder held by his neck, one in each hand, one under his left armpit. As he looked at the two of them, the darkness around his entire body as he gained a menacing aura.

As he looked at the assembled Omnitsuko, his eyes carefully obtaiend each of their positions, before his entire body suddenly moved. As he did so, a series of waves of pure Shadow moved outwards, Kuro's unique shadows, powered with energy and made dangerous. These attacks slid and cut outwards as they each shot towards a different member of the Omnitsuko, his body gaining hoho-like speeds as the blades of flying energy emerged, cutting outwards even at Yoruichi and Soi Fon as they cut around in every direction, forming a kind of assailing barrier around the male's body.

One of these were the attacks of Suzumebachi, as each point along his body was met with the tip of a blade, countering each and every strike. At last, the mask-wearing man in the white cloak looked up at her, as a single butterfly appeared from his forehead as a drop of blood dripped down from the center of his skull, the Homonka mark appearing as a radiance of pure shadows flowed around it, causing the poison within it to rapidly disperse as it changed to a white color, shining brightly on his forehead next to his star-shaped scar.

"Hello, monster." He told her, his voice level as their eyes met one another. "Are you even any better than a mindless hollow, the lot of you?" He asked her seriously, before having a passing thought… could the Hollows from that inverted world possibly be… allies? That was an interesting thought. That look she gave him, however, startled him, for an instant his mind fading to white….

What are you doing?
Nothing… just working out… this thing…
Do you want to try it…? My love…?

Consciousness flowed back through the male as he let out a shuddering breath. Less than a moment had passed, but Piero had manned his body, clashing two of the blades against the swipe that clashed towards him, the blades of his Bankai pincering the incoming attack and stopping it in its tracks as Kuro looked her in the eyes, the wind unable to budge him in his Bankai as he released a pulse of Shadow energy, cancelling the oncoming wave of force.

The elbow that came towards his stomach was a low blow, to be certain. However, she was not the only one who could perform dangerous attacks. His eyes flashed behind his sunglasses as from the tip of the blade in his neck fired a blade of shadow energy directly towards her face. He saw her beginning to move as he dropped all five of his blades, letting the weapons fall down as his body performed a flash step, his legs now up in the air as he wrapped around his weapons once more. Now there were two in his legs, two in his arms, and the one in his mouth. Her incoming foot would be met with such a blade, likely piercing into her foot and stabbing it through, possibly incapacitating it.

The shockwaves of the attack shook him, that was true, knocking him away as he saw the incoming Anken, his body blending back into the shadows as he vanished from sight, causing the anken to smash harmlessly into the boards where the shadows were as if Kuro had been swallowed by them. He slowly reappeared from behind her, his voice speaking up as he looked at the pair of them behind his sunglasses. "Sorry about that, but play time has ended. You are within my realm, and you are my enemy…" He informed the both of them, before his eyes widened at the two of them that had appeared on either side of his body.

Goken Bakkui: Pancake Mix. The thought of the technique ripped through his mind as his body entered Goken Bakkui, his presence becoming almost nothing as he let out a gentle breath, his form becoming like an outline against the shadows as even his scent disappeared. The technique he was executing actually drew the blades from their sheathes, making this the perfect time to activate it as he was assailed from two targets. He took a single step forwards of Shunpo, the blades coming downwards as his body flipped around rapidly. As he did so, two blade marks appeared, one on his waist and the other on his shoulder. However, at the same time, his attack was executed; for those two to get that close to draw his blood, they would be within the Mix's range. The result would be a down-draft slamming into the both of them, both physical and made of force as it would likely lead to anywhere between two and ten seconds of confusion. The cut on his waist revealed a butterfly beneath the strike, while the one against his shoulder had only managed to part his white 'robe', which had guarded against the extremely precision-based attack.

And for what was about to happen next, those two to ten seconds could be critical…

Kuro, do you feel that? Kehehehe! The voice of Piero shuddered through his mind as Kuro responded. ...Yes… more are coming… one is lurking in the shadows… The response came back crystal-clear in his mind as he lookd over to where Tetsuya was standing, his body rapidly jumping back to gain distance from his opponents.

"…" On the one hand, Kuro felt a pang deep within him. He wanted to call the young man who had come to assist a child. He wanted to tell him to leave. He felt a responsibility panging at him from deep inside… This is bad… Captain…! That strange voice inside of his head that made him want to weep came back as he bit his teeth hard, before blinking wide at the next appearance.

"...Don't count me out yet, Koichi Iramasha. I was just playing before… play time has ended. It's time to fight." He answered seriously as the shadows all over the Soul Society rapidly flowed towards their location, changing the entire area dark as they infused into Kuro's body, his left arm stretching as it fully healed once more, the cloak disattaching itself as he caught the blade it once held in his left leg, using a balance on his right foot as he whipped out a gun out of his left hand, shifting his body as he sheathed the fifth blade, his body beginning to run forwards back towards Soi Fon as charged bullets appeared within the gun, firing out rapidly as he whipped out his left finger, tracing along the sky.

"Hadō #58: Tenran!" His voice called out as he created a great column of wind, riding along within it as his speed matched the inner current, still in Goken Bakkui to make his appearance very difficult to make out as he appeared in front of Soi Fon's body, his form entering into a deadly dance as dozens of slashes appeared around her body as he rapidly shot out in every direction around her body, the blades slishing and slashing about as he possessed his hands with Piero's Pulse Step, causing their speed to rapidly increase as he got within striking range. Finally, he stopped, tenderly touching his left shoulder as his back faced Soi Fon, looking out into the distance as the white cloak picked up the remaining wind from Tenran, the black hand turning about as the gun he held issued out a single round, which quickly shattered into several dozen attacks, spreading like a shotgn before the shadow and Disturbed energies of Piero collided into where her body was located, creating shrapnel that shot out in every direction, which would need to be addressed by the other fighters as well as Kuro's own body vanished with a shunpo once more, reappearing high in the air.

….Nariri… why did you join my squad?
Well… you were the only one who really interested me; the others were nice, but you were funny.
Funny? I'm not funny!
Of course you are, Kuro! Of course you are…

….Nariri…. Forgive me… I… forgot again. The male's eyes were filled with a purpose and life now as he beheld the battlefield and all who were taking part in the battle down below. The man who had become a Captain was on full display, now; this was the true 'power' behind his Bankai. The overactive tendencies which he often held had calmed. Now, there was only the job to be completed. That mattered more than his own impulsiveness and nerves. So… he would accomplish his mission, his glowing red eye shining in the darkness as he looked down at the carnage below...

AT LAST, I MUST FIGHT!

Song: Fight The Clock — Artist: Two Steps From Hell

The lack of professionalism from her partner never ceased to bother some small part of her mind, but she was far past acknowledging that part of her mind while they had such important objectives on the line. They knew very well that it was either 'us or them,' and she very much preferred to live, and for all of her people to live. She'd initiated this preemptive strike against the other Soul Society so that they were preoccupied with fighting her rather than going after the cores of her world. Sui Feng and the majority of the Omnitsukido had joined along as they were very much on the same lines of thought. You wouldn't think it seeing Sui Feng now, but she was fighting as much for her people as she was the enjoyment of the battle itself. Knowing that was enough for Yoruichi, and so she could keep her mind focused. She did not glance at her partner despite her playful comment, instead keeping her amber eyes honed in on the dark one before them. He'd gone through some sort of transformation it seemed, both mentally and physically. This man was a Captain, and thus he had a Bankai, but the cost of not knowing her foe meant that she did not know his newfound level of power.

Several of Sui Feng's underlings were taken out immediately after the release phrase, by surprise. The rest dashed back out of the range of the attack, while Yoruichi and Sui Feng both easily deflected the lighthearted attempts sent their way. The man dealt fairly well with Sui Feng's initial barrage, almost impressively so, but he had let himself get struck once by Suzumebachi, and just once was enough for her student to capitalize on; he was marked for death, and this battle would be his procession. When her foot clashed with the dark one's blade, he'd find that her body was not as soft as it seemed. Sui Feng's boot was cut through the top and ruined by the clash, but intense spiritual power ran through her body and allowed her to clash flesh against steel without suffering more than a small bruise. A small shockwave coursed from the impact and sent the two opposing forces ricocheting away from each other. Yoruichi glanced over at Sui Feng, down toward her foot to study it, though it did not seem like she had been hindered much or at all by the bruise. The next moment, their foe was behind them as an imposing shadow, about to release a devastating attack no doubt.

Yoruichi turned her head, not to look at Kuro, but at Sui Feng. She was already in tune with her it seemed, as she did the same, giving off that signature half-cocked smile. There was a bond between these two Shinigami that was very powerful, allowing them to communicate without speech, and act as one entity. With just a glance, a plan was formed: Yoruichi reached for the slender fingers of her protege and grasped them, which seemed little more than just a gentle gesture. However, the true purpose of the act was that one end of a fine wire was threaded through her fingers, the other in Yoruichi's possession. They dashed apart like forces of nature—lightning and wind—loosely circling the dark one as he begun his assault. One moved clockwise, the other counter-clockwise, and the wire between them documented their wild movement. This dark figure, hardly visible as the shroud of darkness concealed him, was tracked by the two assassins as though he were covered in glow-in-the-dark neon paint; that is to say, perfectly. His swords which sought to meet with their bodies instead struck a seemingly imperceptible force, stopping in midair as something solid resisted against them. This force grew stronger and stronger as Yoruichi and Soifon circuited around him as utter blurs; his movements were restricted ever closer to himself.

His swords had been caught by the metal wire, and with each revolution of the two assassins, the web of wire would tighten to a degree where movement was hardly possible. It would only be a matter of seconds before the man was completely confined to himself, his own swords grating into his skin. The wire that held him was refusing to be cut in half by his Bankai-level blades, which was somewhat perplexing. However, it had to be factored that the combined reiatsu of both Sui Feng and Yoruichi flowed strongly through the material, strengthening what would otherwise easily be severed. When the binding had finished, Yoruichi would be on one side of Kuro, and Sui Feng on the other, both of them pulling the thread tightly. They channeled their spiritual power in spirals, countering the umbral energy that the prey possessed with his uncanny ability to fade into the shadows. This time, he'd find himself unable to transition into that form, as the nullifying effects of the Reverse Demon ability was targeting that specific capability. That should have been that, and the fight would be over here... but it seems that they had attracted some unwanted attention by the merit of their actions.

Yoruichi had one hand occupied, pulling on the wire to keep Kuro in place. This was the point when a sneak attack from behind would be launched. The attacker gave no warning and held no faults in his ambush; he was nonexistent for all intents and purposes. Additionally, his timing was superb, with Yoruichi's mind occupied on one target already, and Sui Feng unable to see him from the other side of Kuro. There was not even an iota of his spiritual presence to give him away. There was no suspect from the dark-skinned woman as his blade flew unhindered toward her back, aiming to take her out with one lethal incision... His sword's tip only nipped a millimeter into the fabric of her Omnitsukido uniform before she reacted at ungodly speeds, finally giving the first indication of just what velocity she was capable of moving at. This sneak attack sent such a jolt through the woman that it caused a knee-jerk reaction from her—a moment outside of the self-control she had been exuding up until this point. His sword left a small cut in the back of her robe, and nothing more, before she turned around near-instantly, her foot flying out in a ferocious back spinning kick. Her heel would meet head on with the sharp edge of the man's Zanpakutō with such force that it would shatter the blade on impact if he did not move it out of the way, through the strength and reiatsu that flared up with her momentary loss of control. Additionally, the kick produced such kinetic energy that it would be released through the air with the mere motion of her sweeping leg. In a wide cone where her attacker was currently standing in the dead center of, a wave of force would blast straight through desecrate everything within its path. The walls, the trees, and the ground all gave way as the excess force of her kick blew straight through them. Mercy on the poor soul if he did not make it out of the way in time.

Still holding onto that wire firmly, she had to deal with another attack appearing from her side through a rift, and she would have regained control of her emotions and power in time for it. Yoruichi practically hurled her body downwards into a tight crouch, undercutting the elbow intended for her neck, which would instead only brush through the tips of her long purple hair. It was much easier to react to foes she could sense, and so even though this new adversary was faster and stronger, Yoruichi did not feel as threatened by his attacks. This was more akin to foes she was used to fighting—had been fighting for her whole life. There was a tempo of battle that she could easily slip into with them, but only once in all her years as a Shinigami had she ever come across someone who she couldn't see coming... The surprise attack that almost struck her just mere moments ago was now imprinted into her mind, a prevalent thought as she went through the motions of clashing with this new, dog-like foe. He warped in front of her as she was crouched, making an attempt to grapple with someone who really did not wish to be grappled. As he reached for her, Yoruichi launched her foot into his chest with the enhanced velocity of Hohou, using her superior reach with the limb to hit her target first. Her foot would smash into his chest hard, though the potency would be compromised by her current position. If he was not launched away from her, then she would be launched back herself as a result, escaping his grapple either way.

With the distance she put between them, Yoruichi would scan the area, looking for that first attacker, wanting to keep an eye on him and not let him out of her sight. Yet, still, even with her heightened vision, she could not find a trace of this supposed foe. She wanted to think that it was all smoke and mirrors, and that she'd somehow imagined the whole thing—she didn't like the thought that somebody could sneak behind her like that. But, the damage done to her outfit was real enough, as was the threat to her life. As she fought this canine of a man, the other could attack her at any moment... so she had to take the necessary precautions. She spoke, but not in response to Koichi's goading words: ''Voltaic Shroud,'' she muttered as she rose up from her crouching position, and her energy sparked to life. A bubble expanded around her, causing the area within to take on a blackish tint, transforming the colors of the electricity within to black and dark purple. It thrummed with energy, displayed by the erratic arcs of lightning that bounced throughout the ground and in the air... It did not seem to do anything past that, but there was no way to get to the woman within without passing through that bubble first.

Then, in a soft but stern voice, she declared, ''Not one of you will lay a finger on me.''

Sui Feng was pulling on the thread as tightly as she could, the one that had been handed to her by Yoruichi. She constantly channeled her spiritual energy into it to both strengthen its density and also serve as the antithesis to Kuro's shadow-based powers. She witnessed as her mentor was assailed by a slew of defenders from this realm, but she had to make sure their first threat was nullified first. As she began to think of a way to dispose him, she'd feel a tightening pressure on her ankles, and widen her eyes in surprise as she looked down to see the cirrus of the earth tangling itself around her legs. This bothered Sui Feng quite greatly, as she was not a woman to be kept down by any means. The desire to escape was intense, and acute; especially as she saw the ground giving way to stone javelin that surged for her heart. The emotions of rage flowed through her limbs like electricity, charging her like a battery. There was a vibrant hum that whirred up from the surfaces of her body, as her visage became fuzzy and distorted. Her right hand slammed down with furor against the pinpoint tip of the spike, emitting a buzzsaw screech through the area as they clashed. Sui Feng's body—seemingly in one place—was actually vibrating at incredible speeds. When the spike hit the palm of her hand, the sharp tip was promptly eroded into but a soft and dusty nub, while the momentum behind it was also dispersed by the back-and-forth oscillations. It did not stop there, as Sui Feng pushed her hand further and further down, grinding the rock away in a matter of seconds and causing a small dust storm around her. In no time at all, there was only a stump at her feet, rendered harmless by her Baibure-Shon Modo.

The roots that laid claim to her legs too would begin to soften and deteriorate as she vibrated. Smoke began to stem from the plants before breaking into segments and falling away; no doubt that any longer under the friction and flames would have broken out on the earthen material. Now free, Sui Feng had finished debating on her course of action, as she looked up at the prey wound up in the wire. She let out an audible breath, but her exhalation came out as an unnatural black mist. Unexpectedly, a dark inky liquid would begin to flow from the pores of her body, tearing from her eyes, drip from her nose, and seep down the lengths of her arms. There was only a short amount of time before the majority of her body was coated in the mysterious ink, and the ground around her was polluted with it. This nameless fluid was a poison,—a powerful hallucinogen that induced one incredibly potent illusion: Pain. One drop was enough to send another's senses into overload, bombarding them with searing agony. Two drops could lock their motor function down as their nervous system becomes overwhelmed with the titanic amount of pain impulses flowing through them. What would happen when Sui Feng drowned her foes in the poison can only be left to the imagination, though her mind was quite vividly enacting their demises as this fight went on.

''DIE!'' she hissed, as she roughly yanked on the wire to pull Kuro off balance before letting go of it. At the same time, she flash lunged at him with her now poison-tipped Suzumebachi cocked back. The Homonka mark on his forehead was her target, and she launched her precision attack with enough force to blow the top portion of his head off irregardless of whether her Death in Two Steps would kill him anyways. But, Sui Feng carried her momentum onward, with her blow against the dark one a mere drive-by. As a blur she leaped up into the air several meters, suspending herself through flight as she raised a hand high. ''Bakudō #62... Hyapporankan!'' she cried out, spawning a massive rod of blue and white light in her hand. The next instant, her arm was extended out in front of her, already having thrown the staff like a missile. In mid-air it would burst into precisely a hundred smaller rods that fanned out like the flak of a shotgun. This Kido was primary intended for the one known as Koichi, though there would be many of his underlings as well as Tetsuya caught in the wide domain of the attack too. Each rod flew at the speed of Sui Feng's flash step, and had the weight of several tons behind them. There was narrow room for error for her foes, and they could easily find themselves pinned to the ground by the barrage.

While that Kido was spoken aloud and most obvious, another spell had been initiated unspoken, its impact sudden. Those who would try to dodge away from the Hyapporankan would find themselves trapped, as from the sky dozens of wooden pillars would smash into the ground in a four-sided perimeter, kicking aside dust as they planted themselves firmly into place. Koichi, Tetsuya, and a handful of the other Iramasha were within a large room created by the Ryūbi no Jōmon, The Gates of Dragon Tail, as the many rods of Hyapporankan came falling down like hail. The only opening up was up, up through the torrent, where Sui Feng lie awaiting. Black drops of her inky poison fell down along with the pillars, threatening to drive a person to insanity with a single touch. Once that cacophony was over, Sui Feng herself would scream and dive down into the smoke caused by all of the impacts, putting as much strength as she could into it. Wherever Koichi was last, hopefully now trapped under the weight of her Kido, she would crash into and crack the ground beneath her. Only when she was inside with everyone else would Sui Feng complete the Temple of the Dragon Tail, causing a decorative blue roof to fall on top of the four gates, sending the area into near pitch darkness. Only the dim light of Hyapporankan rods gave any illumination, and Sui Feng stood up among them, clad in her excruciating poison.

''Hehehehehe... You think your plans will just work out as you intend? Do you really think I'll just honor your fight with Yoruichi-sama? Nononono! Like she said, you are not going to lay a finger on her... None of you!''

~

The Omnitsukido was not just a division that could be pushed around as others would will it; they were some of the Gotei's most skilled fighters, and they were very familiar with the concept of surprise attacks. As the Iramasha launched their synchronous assault from the blind spot of their backs, they would most definitely be sensed before being taken out. Merely one or two fell, as the rest vanished from their spots to evade the attack. Now it was the Omnitsukido that appeared behind the backs of the Iramasha, each wielding some form of a sharp and deadly Zanpakutō. They aimed to slice and dice them up with the great speed they always fought with, aiming for the vital spots with every strike. They were unrelenting, always on the offense, wanting to keep the Iramasha on the defense while their superiors held the real battle. There were some... unfortunate casualties as a result of the both Yoruichi's powerful kick and Sui Feng's display of Kido, though nobody seemed to bat an eye at their deaths. Collateral damage was understood, but did not interfere with the tact of these Black World harbingers.

As anticipated, she was highly skilled his technique was flawed perhaps? Tetsuya saw her move, he wasn't sure he could avoid all of it. He was very strong in Hakuda himself, he would need to counter the kinetic blow with one of his own. Seeing the shattering kinetic blow he used a powerful palm thrust. Hitting the female's kinetic force with a blow of his own. The power favored her as he predicted, he had blended the move making sure he could use his Hakuda. Tetsuya made a slight smile as he looked at Yoruichi, he'd been knocked back a bit. His sword had avoided the destruction, the long range Hakuda move was something that saved him. "Truly impressive, not many would of avoided that.. " He wasn't completely cold he decided to let his spiritual pressure become known. The entire place filled with a blood lust, much like a fierce beast stood before them. The Beast of District 79 was ready for a battle he'd traded blows with Yoruichi so to speak. She won the trade though, that much was certain. The armor of earth crumbled slightly around his hand. Quickly it was covered once more, his orbs turned to Sui Feng's coming attack. "Tremble, Tsuchikuin" His shikai activated the sword glowed, what power best suited his needs this evening. Sui Feng, the killer of the Second Division, how well could he manage the female. Spores began to cloud the air and form around Sui Feng, plants of a new nature formed. The female wouldn't get a chance to do so again, he watched those spears coming at him. Tetsuya's blood was pumping and excitement flowed in his veins. He was a beast and this was a battle of the most interesting sort. "Sorry dad, but my blood's boiling..This...this will be fun.." He chuckled slightly as he released a massive amount of spiritual pressure. Earth seized the spears before they could touch him, the shield of earth protected him from blows. Sure it had weaknesses, but simple kido wouldn't best this barrier.

The spores grew plants on the female Sui Feng that were extremely heavy around her arms and legs. They grew faster with his spiritual pressure growing those plants up, his eyes looked at Sui Feng. " I don't know, won't know till I face her Koichi-sama." He moved his hand and directed earth to form around Sui Feng, his eyes cold as he looked at her. Alright the next step for this box was simple as it formed around her. The heavy plants and the box were the combination for a blast of the large type. His pressure relaxed around his frame, the excitement was gone. It was time to focus, the box would implode as the plants around Sui Feng's body would explode. The explosion was condensed inside the box she was in. This was all part of the plan, the rest was up to guess. The Unabara guarded the important entrances, Tetsuya and his father would manage this world. If he fell the Pale Rider's fury would fall here. He didn't have an plans however to rely on his father's strength. No his might was more then enough for this he needed to decide what the best method of fighting would be in this situation. Tetsuya wasn't sure he could match Sui Feng blow for blow, he would certainly need to use methods of his own. Plants began growing around the area, ready to fight as they moved around. Tetsuya had noticed within a few moments the female's target, if Kuro was in danger he'd form a metal shard to defend him. His eyes turned to those spears, the earth shield was fast enough to protect him due to the extra reiatsu. But the weight had broken it, but the shield had accounted for it. Growing around them as they moved forward, thus was his defense but the shikai made it easier to defend. Now the question about how to fight Sui Feng was puzzling, the female had a strange substance on her body. He suspected it was a poison, that would be troublesome combined with her sword. The question of how to go about it was curious, he exhaled a breath. Only one method was suitable, assassination. Her mentor had been able to find his ambush, but now it was time for things to get interesting. Plants grew around the area and the screams of their people would be heard soon enough, wrapped and being attacked by the plants. The offensive had begun, his eyes watched for Sui Feng's movements. He could keep up with her attack speed, but only just barely same with her mentor. But their was a difference, her mentor was strong his was simply more dedicated to training Tetsuya for every possible outcome. Tsubasa was a demon, Tetsuya simply was a beast and would do as his mentor once told him. Make an impression, he looked at Sui Feng's figured after the explosion. The blow was done now what was to be the next move, he could match her only just. He'd not be able to perfectly do this, moving his sword away and using the kinetic blow before was easy enough. The dangers were real here, perhaps more then with Yoruichi. Sui Feng's personality made it easier to read her slightly. She was agitated and his attack wouldn't of made it any less so.

Shukuchi would be the answer he needed, they were fast but he had better stepping method then them. Tetsuya would have to use everything he knew to fight, was Shikai enough or was he merely being cocky? Sui Feng, the student of Yoruichi both were skilled fierce warriors. He could feel a trembling through his body, everything about this situation was bad. And yet, this wasn't fear no it was excitement. He'd been in this situation before, not in this life perhaps but in a previous one. Tetsuya felt the familiar feeling of being backed into a corner. That feeling excited him and almost made him feel alive, he could go further and get much stronger. Tetsuya's eyes stared holes in Sui Feng, this woman was his enemy. The plants and earth moving around his location would make an attack by the female hard. But he knew the situation, once she came close the true battle would begin. He took a stance, bringing a hand up and his sword before him. Something would become quite clear as he did this, not a single opening was free. Everything was planned and prepared, he was a Hakuda and Zanjutsu fighter. But his sword allowed him to fight long range, it was a combination that made him dangerous. Squad Ten's Captain, the Beast of the Unabara. Tetsuya Tachibana, no. No longer Tachibana, Tetsuya Unabara was ready for a conflict. The Death toll was going to rise as the Heir to the Pale would strike fear into the hearts of these people. Blood lust and a hunger for battle filled the air, he was an assassin and so much more at the same time. Tetsuya's intuitive fighting style was a product of his lessons, Tsubasa's work was done. Tetsuya's work had only just begun, to hell with his father. This was his fight and he was going to savor it win or lose, this would be a meaningful and exciting night no matter the cause.
