Bad Blood [Private, Nozomi, Ashlei] Empty Bad Blood [Private, Nozomi, Ashlei]

Artist: Thomas Newman - Song: Drive Away

Ancient, stoic, mystical... powerful, imposing, salient; such words could be attributed to the mountainous plant at the heart of Hueco Mundo. Las Vivientes—the Living—markedly of the feminine derivative like the queen minx of the land. It was surprising to see such life in the barren wasteland that was Hueco Mundo, especially at such a scale. However, it was hardly alive. The ability to grow naturally had been taken away from it, as ersatz stone lined the interior like a tower within a tower. The plant was now a husk to contain what the Arrancar have built, and it was a grotesque construction. Then again, not much better were the Hollows. Perhaps there was even a correlation between the two specimens, and that this was their interpretation of art. Whatever its significance to the creatures that resided here or the words they wished to describe it with, it was the queen's dwelling, and Nozomi was here to see her. The air before the gates shimmered like when heat waves warped the rays of light. It was a small, almost unnoticeable anomaly. Coupled with the arbitrary timing and utter silence of it, it would be no small chance that it went without fanfare. It would abruptly vanish without a trace even if discovered, merely seconds after its appearance. It was probably nothing.

Despite this, a blue-haired female in black and white attire now walked the flights of Las Vivientes. Nozomi was a pale human with the body of a woman but the size of a teenager. She was shorter, thinner, and younger-looking than your average dictator, and yet she had the curves to suggest there was more to it. Her outfit, commonly classified as the uniform of a neo-nazi, outlined these features well, and added to the appeal. The only splash of color came from the cardinal band just past her left shoulder, sporting the four-tipped star symbol of her own Dominion. Her skin was consistently blanched throughout her body, unmarked by flaws, like an immaculate statue come to life. It contrasted strongly with the long azure locks that flowed down past her waist, and the piercing red eyes that were a blade through one's soul when she looked at you. Her appearance spoke volumes for her, as she was an iconic figure; a being a note. The moment she revealed herself, she knew Ashlei would become aware of her presence. Nozomi could sense the weakness of the Hollow Queen from here, perhaps as frail as she'd ever been. She'd likely be expecting attempts on her life during this period of weakness, and she would be wary of Nozomi's presence. Perhaps there would be a degree of fear struck in the Arrancar's heart when she noticed her guest.

And these thoughts made her smile.

The First Quincy walked up the stairs with a purpose, her Arius activated and beheld the legerdemain that enchanted this place. The curse of the maze, as she liked to refer to tricks like this; there was a spell on these stairs that would cause them to forever repeat themselves unless certain prerequisites were met. This requirement was not concrete, but conceptual; not within the victim, but outside. It was... ah. Simple permission—Ashlei's word was the key past this door, as it was the only thing that seemed to temporarily undo the curse. ''My name...'' the Quincy began slowly, deliberately articulating her words, before pausing. After that she moved her lips as though to speak but made no noise, merely mouthing what seemed to be an incoherent jumble of vowels and consonants. Then she would give her voice sound again: ''My name is Ashlei.'' Her voice was off now, more matured and softer than she was known for. ''I own and rule Hueco Mundo.'' Again, drifting further apart from what was recognizable as her own voice, she announced these words to no one in particular. The chimelike accent was gone. ''Queen of Bones, Sands, Blood. Some call me a tyrant, insane, a monster...''

It was evident that the sounds coming from her throat were no longer belonging to her. Vocal cords were being altered, and energy was gleaming from Nozomi that rang not of her own signature. As Nozomi finished her arbitrary recitation, it could not be mistaken for any other's voice but Ashlei Mischievang's herself. More than that, the Quincy had colored her energy to mimic the Arrancar's. ''Do you think any of that true?'' With that, she'd perfected an imitation of Ashlei well enough to satisfy the prerequisites of her little trick room. As she approached the precipice to the Blood Halls, where the final verge of the illusion was prepared to send her back to the beginning, she spoke out in Ashlei's sultry voice. ''I hereby give Nozomi permission to visit me where I reside.'' The enchantment, while powerful, was very simple and easily fooled by someone as clever as her. So, when she stepped through into the gothic hallways, the layers of magic would treat her as a welcomed one.

Now with pseudo-Ashlei's consent, none of the barriers remaining would hinder her trek toward her destination. She strode casually and calmly toward the Queen's chamber doors, keeping an eye on Ashlei with her Arius as much as she was in return. Would she make a break for it, prepare for a fight, or call for help? Nozomi's actions would no doubt inspire a feeling of dread and panic. Yet, the infiltration will have occurred so fast that there would be little time to act if she wanted to. It was only a moment before Nozomi had arrived, phasing through the ornamental set of doors as though they were not even there; they did not need to open for her to pass through. Her eyes focused in on Ashlei as she entered, bowing her head slightly and hoping that was enough to communicate her peaceful intentions. All of the earlier finesse she displayed getting into Ashlei's home was just for the sake of the challenge, and Nozomi would have a wry grin on her face for being able to pass through them all with ease.

''Good evening, your majesty. Could I perhaps interest you in a friendly discussion?''

Ashlei Clixx

Visitors were not welcome at this time in Hueco Mundo, especially those that wanted the Queen of the realm to bless them with her presence. She was not prepared. Queen Ashlei Clixx had been bedridden for weeks since her daughter Hexetelle was born as the birthing process had strangely taken much more energy from her than some would deem normal. Sure, the process would be taxing on the females body, but the demonic interference to even grant her the ability of childbirth had pushed her beyond limits she had not realised she had. The woman was tired, unwell and outright unfit for duty until she regained her strength. having to look after Hexetelle was her priority however, so rest was not something she could sit back and enjoy.

Within the high stem of the plant that dominated the realm: las Vivientte, lies the many hallways and corridors known as The Blood Halls. By defeating the many illusions the plant places upon you, a visitor may be granted entrance to see Ashlei and her close family. Step foot within these halls however and the Queen is instantly alerted to their presence. What should have been a simple day of looking after her daughter and getting a little bit of work done, Ashlei's entire focus was instantly brought down unto her visitor. Las Vivientte had detected a second Ashlei within the plant and granted access to a woman named Nozomi. Obviously, Ashlei did not give the order, but the plant was not going to bar them off with such a convincing voice.

Darting from her bed, the womans feet barely touched the ground as her wings brought her up to her wardrobe. She wasn't prepared for Nozomi to be here and she had to try and look somewhat presentable to another organisation leader. The white night gown once worn by Ashlei was flung, enveloping the little child Hexetelle who was sitting in the center of the room and was now flailing about to get the gown out of the way. Within a few seconds, Ashlei had thrown on herself a black dress. She had no time for anything extensive and didn't exactly expect anyone to lift her dress up to see if she decided to wear anything underneath. It wasn't a necessity. The dress was smart, silky and draped down to her ankles where she would slip on a pair of knee high boots and then grab a small red rose to perch onto the rim of the dress, above her minimally exposed chest and below her neck. Grabbing a black ribbon from the shelf, the girl would tie her long stream of bloody hair into a pony tail behind her, reach for a pair of black glasses, then bend down to her daughter.

"I'm gonna need you to stay in here okay Hexxy? Don't come out of Momma's room for any reason or she'll be super mad, kay?" A reluctant nod from the white haired child wasn't all too convincing but it would have to do. The presence of Nozomi was more than noticeable down the hall and Ashlei had to move fast. Kissing her childs forehead gently, she flicked the glasses onto her face and dashed to the door, openeing it slightly and slipping into the hallway. Using the illusion as a covet, Ashlei willed the bedroom door to invisibility. To her and Nozomi, it would look like a wall and nothing more, though Ashlei would know better. Taking several steps forward, the Bloody Queen stopped a few feet away from the blue haired maiden and did nothing more than glare at her visitor.

It wasn't until Nozomi, the girl that Ashlei had heard too much about bowed and requested a friendly discussion that she would begin to speak. "Don't try to approach me as though we're friends. Why are you here? I have nothing you want or need. If you were after something physical you would have contacted my wife, not me." The glare would not leave the womans face, her glowing bloody eyes piercing right into Nozomis, even as she brought her arms up to cross just under her impressive bust. "Don't think all because iv'e been hauled up in here that I haven't been watching what has been going on. Reports of your interference are cropping up time and time again and although I know not the details of your intrusions, I know fully well that I cannot trust you."

Could the tension in the air be more awkwardly heavy?

How cute it was to see the young child of the two queens here, in this very place. Despite being behind a supposedly hidden door, Nozomi saw her in clear view with the Arius; the snow white skin, the amber eyes, the fragile skin. She was an adorable little creatures irregardless of the racial differences, one any mother would be proud of, and one any mother would defend to her dying breath. It made this little rendezvous a lot more personal than she'd originally expected it to, because frankly the existence of this youth caught Nozomi by surprise. She knew that Mana and Ashlei were wed together, but she'd never really thought they'd settle down with a son or daughter. It did not seem to matter that they were of different races, or that both of them were female; somehow, life found a way. It gave an explanation to the previously inexplicable sudden weakness of the Blood Queen. Nozomi had to be honest if asked, one of the reasons she taken a jaunt to Hueco Mundo was to figure out precisely why Ashlei was bedridden. It was not the only thing, however, or else she'd have turned around at the door.

''No need to be hostile, my dear. If I wanted to harm your child, she'd be bleeding on the floor already.'' She said this matter-of-factly while giving Ashlei a pleasant smile, no doubt infuriating her further. There was no intonation of sinister intent, but it certainly seemed off. However it was taken, Nozomi meant what she said. She didn't come here to start a fight, for there were several thousand more efficient ways to achieve that feat than walking into the heart of the Hollow city and asking for a cordial discussion; she wasn't perfect, but she surely would've settled for something better than this for her grand attack scheme. Perhaps they weren't friends, but they certainly weren't enemies, not at this point in time. Nozomi's sole action against Hollowkind has been in the self-defense of her own Quincy race, so as to what 'interference' Ashlei accused her of, she could not fathom. The one thing she could be antagonistic about was the mockery of her home's defenses that Nozomi displayed, but she was not one for bureaucracy.

To add to it, Ashlei did not seem to understand that anything physical she could possibly want, she could create from thin air. There was not a single thing that she wanted from the Hollow Queen that could be held or touched. Perhaps, Nozomi humored to herself, Mana has been feeding her wife bad stories about me? ...Doubtful. It was hurtful to hear that she was not trustworthy for the blood queen, considering the ultimate lack of a foundation for that distrust. Irrationals would be irrational, though. Nozomi walked forward, seemingly moving slowly, but passing right by the woman's side faster than seemed possible. It was a distortion of space and time, confusing the mind when observed from an outside witness. If Ashlei were to turn around or otherwise intercept her, she'd find a completely different person in her wake. Green eyes, green hair, a playful demonic essence enveloping the Arrancar's up in an embrace without needing to even touch in the physical sense. ''You can't trust me~?'' came Mana's delightful voice, perfected down to the southern twang of the woman Ashlei loved. Everything about her screamed that this was the very same woman, even though logic suggested it couldn't be so. ''Awww babe, I'm wounded!''

The false face of Mana conveyed a hue of equally fictitious throe through her emerald eyes, and pursed her lips into a small pout. Her arms crossed over her chest as though expecting sympathy, though both knew this was little more than an act. After a small pause, it all came undone with a toothy smile and a chuckle. ''Honestly though, I'm not all entirely sure what I did to upset ya, since I worked with your lady lover. I helped her fulfill her devious plans, and she traded away a neat little plot of land in return. Last I checked, we were on the same side.'' For the time being, Nozomi remained in the assumption of Mana's form, for whatever effect it would have on Ashlei's poor heart. She wondered, as well, if the little girl known only to her as 'Hexxy' could hear Mana's voice from where she was. They weren't particularly far from where the door was, nor was the magic coating these walls sound proofing. She'd put her hands on her hips and sway the weight of her body to one side as she gave Ashlei a somewhat stern look. ''I understand you're hearin' things about me and not wantin' to trust me right off the bat. But s'ugah? You don't know the half of it.''
