Appearance Description:
Deadpool is a very peculiar man, often not seen outside of his red and lack outfit. The outfit consists of a skin tight red and black suit, black covering his eye region, shoulders, thighs and wrists, the rest remaining red. On his back, there are two katana scabbards which are both extremely long and sharp, as well as a single gun holster on his left shoulder and another gun holster on his right hip. On his waist, there are numerous amounts of bags, holders, satchels which can carry a variety of objects such as ingredients or even grenades/others weapons.

Outside of the uniform, his body is covered in numerous scars, burns and other infectious looking skin de formalities. This happened in a accident, where he became genetically enhanced. Due to this, he is always in his suit to avoid being seen like that. At height, he is 6'2", weighing at 210 pounds, brown eyes and no hair, formerly brown.

Personality
Wade's personality is nothing short of... manic. He's grown up with such an interesting path and the way he was brought up hadn't helped his outlook on life. Overall, Deadpool is seen as a rather joking, non serious character; often finding himself talking to himself, mocking other people who may or may not be above the power level of his own. In the case of mocking other people, he's not typically someone who see's himself above everyone and that his power is absolute; it's more based around the idea of why not joke around and annoy other people when it comes to life? That's one of the more unique things about Deadpool. No matter what situation he is in, he is always found to be more of the comic-relief type character than the serious, tackle it head on type person. Not only this but when he goes into fights or goes to kill something, he is often found making jokes about the person or jokes about his moves, slicing people open and saying a witty or completely stupid one liner. Although this isn't to say he can't be serious, he does have the ability to be serious in some situations. Although it is rare to find him pushed to being a serious type of attitude in any situation, it will only come out at certain points such as when he's analysing situations or pieces of information he needs. And even through his serious side, to many people it would seem like he was still joking.

The most popular trait that Deadpool is known for is his ability to break the fourth wall. What does this mean? Breaking the 4th wall is something that not many other characters are capable of doing, meaning that he is aware that he is in a game, he's aware that someone is writing out his actions; that he's being controlled. Like in the comic books he's from, Deadpool is aware that he is in a comic book and he is often found recalling times in sequences of chapter and comic book numbers to when he last met people. In short? He's capable of knowing he's being controlled by someone else. That's the fourth wall. The fourth wall is one of his major assets in his personality, not many people being able to grasp the concept of his fourth wall capability and others would think him weird or insane. Yet another thing about Deadpool is his 'insane' tendencies. He's a very unclean, upfront and crazy type of person, normally doing things which nobody else would dream of doing. They call him insane because he's one of the weirdest people many people have met, and he doesn't censor himself. He's rather out there, something that is rare. Along with this, his title the "Merc with a Mouth" also goes hand in hand with his personality. Basically, this is referencing how his ability of speech is one of his major weapons in battle; merc with a mouth referring to how he never shuts up and will usually always speak out of turn; capable of confusing enemies.

Abilities

Summary:
Deadpool is a very... interesting human being. While most human beings have soul state evolution, he is a special case. Due to his accident, he has been known for amazing abilities of which normal humans could only dream of. He has a plethora of possibilities with weapons, powers and general abilities he has accumulated over his years of perfecting these powers. Deadpool is an extraordinary hand-to-hand combatant and is skilled in multiple unarmed combat techniques. He is a master of assassination techniques, is an excellent marksman, and is highly skilled with bladed weapons (frequently carrying two swords strapped to his back). He is fluent in Japanese, German, Spanish, amongst other languages.

Bionic Form:
A normal human could never go toe-to-toe with the kind of opponents and targets Wade is expected to face on a day-to-day basis. A human could never complete the sort of contracts Wade takes on. That is why nothing was left to chance with Wade. Wade's whole body is adapted and molded around a biometric support system. He looks human, he acts human, he has the anatomic makeup of a human, but he is far from human. His skin is a variable mithril, guarding against harm and protecting the components within. His bones are enforced with a spiritual alloy, nigh unbreakable. Along with this, his heart is an output center for a variety of chemical compounds, coursing through him and adding augmentations to his being. The major downside of this is that his body would be completely normal, trapped within human limitations, if one were to disable the bionics. There are two ways to do this. The first is to disable them remotely, from the command center located in his "base" (read: shitty apartment) in Karakura Town. The second is to launch an EMP, or a similar disruptive electrical output, directly into the nerve center of his brain.

Enhanced Mind:
Able to utilize 9 times more than a human's brain capacity for information storing and sorting, his mind is practically a computer built for strategy and problem solving. He can work out any sort of battle or attack ahead of time and predict an enemies movements based on what they have displayed so far, showing that his memory borders on almost total recall. He is also ingenious in devising solutions against superior aspects of an opponent, can observe and exploit, and can calculate distance, time, and speed at lightning-fast speeds. His sense of time is also superb, bordering on perfection. However, all of these mental augmentations have left him a little.. batty, attributing to his broken-up and bizarre personality.

Enhanced Reflexes:
His reflexes are instantaneous, so that he is able to dodge point-blank gunfire and out maneuver almost any opponent. Even powerful, high-risk targets he has faced, he is able to maneuver around. While this is not infallible, and there are opponents he will face who could match his reflexes, said reflexes haven't failed him yet.

Enhanced Strength:
His bionics have done a number to his muscles as well. Supporting his bone structure, and enhancing his strength, his strength is vast. He has been known to be able to smash through almost any material, short of sekiseki itself. Holding a bus in one hand, and smashing through terrain as if it was a saltine cracker with the other, Deadpool is able to easily go toe-to-toe at close range, if the need arises. Witnesses who have observed his fighting have described his strength as "the strength of one-hundred demons, all as angry as he is."

Enhanced Senses/Threat Assessment:
His senses have been highly augmented as well, making him able to see, hear, smell, feel, and taste things better than an ordinary human. If you hit a baseball with a bat, Deadpool would hear the crack of the bat, listen for the disruptions in the wind, and be able to tell you where the ball would land. If Deadpool spilled a certain chemical on someone, he could trace the unique smell of that chemical to track the person, even if he doesn't start for days and the trail is all but faint. And so forth.

Healing:
Deadpool possesses a superhuman healing factor that allows him to regenerate damaged or destroyed areas of his cellular structure at a rate far greater than that of an ordinary human. As such, he can regrow severed limbs or vital organs. The speed at which this healing factor works varies in direct proportion to the severity of the damage Deadpool suffers. This healing factor also affords Deadpool a virtual immunity to poisons and most drugs, as well as an enhanced resistance to diseases and an extended life span. Deadpool’s healing factor is mentally driven to a partial extent. Due to the presence of this superhuman healing ability, many of Deadpool's natural physical attributes have been enhanced. Deadpool's musculature generates considerably less fatigue toxins than the muscles of an ordinary human being, granting him superhuman levels of stamina in all physical activities. His natural strength, agility and reflexes have been enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural limits of the human body. Deadpool's agility and reaction time are superior to those of even the finest human athlete. Also due to his enhancements, he ages much slower than any normal human, appearing much younger than he actually is. Even though he already looks rather old, he would be far past dead if it weren't for his slowed aging process.

Speed and Agility:
Deadpool's body is also able to break the normal limitation for speeds a human can conceivably reach. With rapid vibrations and quick pulses of energy and electrics, Deadpool's movements can reach up to speeds of Mach 1. However, that is where his limit is. Any attempt to reach higher speeds could damage his neural circuits permanently, and disable the enhancements on his speed entirely. As mentioned, he has taken on much needed speed and agility from his normal human self. He is capable of running at speeds that a normal human could only imagine, without any sort of assist. Deadpool does not fatigue when running, either. The lactic acid that builds up quickly heals and pushes away the feeling of weariness allowing him to run for as long as he wants; in theory he could run forever without his legs dying on him. The same goes for every part of his body. If it is a battle of stamina, he is generally going to be the one to come out on top. Deadpool is not be rivalled in all forms of agility, either. Deadpool, as mentioned, has the best reflex's known to man. If anyone was to throw a simple punch towards him, he could simply deflect it without so much as of a tiny hesitation or dodge it.

Along with the agility boost, Deadpool has shown great ability to run and jump at extreme heights, often reaching near the top of most buildings in a single jump or even running up a wall for a bit due to his speed and balance. The agility is a major role in his fighting style, using intricate ways to try and eliminate the enemy. However, he is known to take the front of style rather than actually messing around with the enemy, he just doesn't take a lot of situations very seriously, where his agility still comes in handy quite a lot.

Strength:
Along with all these extra boosts in speed, agility and healing; he also attained a very immense strength boost. Deadpool has been known to crush men's skulls by using one hand to squeeze their heads. A punch from him could shatter someone's ribs and internal organs if you are not careful. Depending on tier, it can do quite a bit of damage. Used in combination with his katana's and hand to hand training, Deadpool is capable of de-limbing and crushing people with ease. However, strength isn't his most proficient feet; he is still extremely dangerous in this area and should never be looked down upon.

Master Martial Arts/Swordsmanship Specialist:
A proficient and frequent user of a variety of CQC and Swordfighting styles, Deadpool has enough knowledge, technique, and skill to keep almost any opponent on their toes. Whether he's bare-knuckle brawling, or utilizing the various blade-type weapons in his possession, he knows how to handle himself in a fight, and isn't afraid to demonstrate it.

Master Marksmanship/Assassination Specialist:
As one of the top known (or unknown, however you want to look at it) assassins, it goes without saying that Deadpool is no stranger to gun play. A marksman all his life, Deadpool's favorite saying is "I never miss". With rifles, pistols, sub-machine guns, shotguns, sniper rifles.. you name it, Deadpool can fire it. And with pin-point accuracy too. So much so that Deadpool doesn't require normal aiming and adjusting time if laying a target out with a rifle from long range. His senses allow him to auto-adjust to wind and barometric pressure on the fly, instantly knowing where to aim and fire to hit a lethal point on an unsuspecting opponent. Deadpool has extensive knowledge of every pressure point and vital spot on the human body, as well as knowledge of the soul chain and soul sleep in spiritual beings. He only takes the time to aim and to focus if he wishes to really relish in a kill, or make EXTRA sure someone's dead. However, he can do this without his rifles as well. Thrown weapons, such as knives or shurikens, are also in his arsenal, and he can strike with these using deadly accuracy. Combining this with his use of silencers and his quick reflexes, Deadpool is able to be a variable shadow, infiltrating and assassinating without leaving so much as a mark. Not counting the corpse, of course.

Enhanced Durability/Pain Tolerance:
As mentioned before, Deadpool's skin and bones are both augmented as far as the punishment they can take. Deadpool's skin is difficult to cut or pierce, and his bones are nigh unbreakable by force alone. Toss a tank at him, see if he cares. Toss the Eiffel Tower at him, see if he blinks. Along with this comes an inhuman intolerance for pain. The various bionics in his body wire into his nervous system. At moments when the nerve signals flare up to signify pain, the bionics interrupt those signals, stopping them completely until the nerves in question stop flaring. Because of this, it would seem Deadpool feels no pain whatsoever.

The Pure Defense: Deadpool has one, and only one true spiritual ability. This is because he is not a reiatsu-based construct. However, the implants in his brain, along with the augments to his metal heart, lace his skin with its own unique spiritual signature, something unique, something not identifiable, something.. strange. This is what allows Deadpool to combat spiritual opponents. Yes, he is contained in a mortal shell, but he is interwoven with spiritual energy, allowing him to see and make contact with spiritual beings. Beyond this, is his mental defenses. A special spiritual barrier surrounding his brain prevents any sort of outside influence from tampering with the balance of his sense, or perception. This means that toxins, gas, illusions, etc. will not work on him. Even illusions that effect how the opponent perceives the world will not effect him. He will see the truth of how reality is, and not the reality his opponent wants him to see.

Gadgets and Weapons

Deadpool has a great many tools, tricks, and weapons designed specifically for one purpose: The elimination of spiritual beings. All of which are contained on or around his tool belt, or in sheaths on his back, or in special holders in his wrists.

The Merc's Blades:

One of Deadpool's signature tools, and one of his most useful, is his swords. The blades, while forged in steel, are made and woven with spiritual energy, much like Deadpool himself. The blades were enforced, enforced again, and continually enforced until their current state, which were designed to be able to actively block and counter attacks and weapons from those even in a bankai state or higher. Will they be very effective against opponents of a higher power at max strength? Probably not. But they're not going to shatter on contact, either. Another, similar weapon that he can use is a Retractable Naginata: a battlestaff with a blade in one end. This has similar properties to his normal blade, but is used in different situations, such as when he needs a faster or more maneuverable weapon than a sword.

The Merc's Mask:

The mask Deadpool wears isn't just for show, or to hide his identity. It's also a high-tech communications device that relays back-and-forth directly to whomever he has contact with and permission to use this. He can use it to communicate with his "friends", retrieve contracts, report any incidents, or request backup. This will work anywhere, even in places where there usually is no signal or communication. However, if an outside source jams it, or if it's broken, it cannot be used.

Pistols of the Merc:

Deadpool's pistols look as if they're normal human weapons, but in fact they harbor a much more sinister secret. He carries two pairs. The first is a pair of modified Beretta FS92s. Deadpool's own rapid trigger-pulling means they can fire at a rate almost instantaneously one after the other, creating a stream of bullets. Along with this, the magazines on the guns are modified to gather ambient and floating reiatsu left over in the air and from attacks that connect on or near him. They convert this reiatsu into the special ammo that the guns use, meaning that he could theoretically never run out so long as there's reiatsu in the air. The inside of the barrel contains a special infusion incantation, imbuing Deadpool's shots with a fiery property, creating mini-explosive pellets that detonate cero-style upon contact with an enemy. He can also point his pistols to the same place, firing one shot from each which will meld before screaming toward the enemy in a largely powerful, almost nuclear blast. This can only be done twice per thread though.

Deadpool's second set of pistols have the same fire rate and reiatsu-ammo properties as the previous, but there are distinct differences. These are modeled after a pair of Colt M1911s, and the special property that their ammo is imbued with is electric in nature. Each shot releases roughly 50,000 volts at about 19 pulses per second into the enemy's body, targeting the neural and nervous centers with concentrated blasts. The targeting isn't for damaging, but for a stunning effect, attempting to temporarily incapacitate the opponent to allow a more clean kill or escape for Deadpool. However, opponents with high defenses, strong will, or resistance to electricity could easily fend this off. Much like the first set, Deadpool can point this set of pistols in the same direction and fire both at once. However, with the electric ammo, when they both combine, they will fire a rough replica of a Gran Rey Cero at the opponent, mimicking the size, speed, and strength of one, although the firing pattern is less erratic. This attack can be fired 4 times per thread, and requires a 2 post cooldown between uses.

The Merc's SMGs

Much like his pistols, Deadpool wields a pair of SMGs. Specifically modeled after the MP5ks. These have the same spiritual ammo use as the pistols, but their fire rate is a lot faster, and they're a lot less accurate. (Though even a lot less accurate is still pretty damn accurate with Deadpool's marksmanship). The key difference, besides the fire rate, is the element they're imbued with. The bullets streaming from THIS gun have glacial properties. When they make contact with an object or enemy, they explode outward in a hard-to-break burst of ice about the size of a large hand-print. The sheer number of bullets streaming forth means that this torrent could mean a solid wall of ice, a slowed opponent, or, in extreme cases, an opponent who's frozen solid. The last effect only works on opponents below lieutenant tier, or really weak members OF lieutenant tier, depending on the case. If an enemy IS frozen solid, enough determination could allow them to break free. If they're slowed, then enough focus could get them out of this debuff.

Taser Bolas:

Another piece of equipment Deadpool is prone to use is a set of three "bolas". A rough hunting weapon used to tie down the limbs or other extremities on opponents. However, his are considerably more high-tech. The balls on the end of each wire are, in essence, miniature tesla coils. When the wires find purchase against an opponent, each individual ball will fire off a strong lightning bolt's worth (roughly 1,000,000,000 volts) directly into the opponent through the skin, targeting the brain and heart. As before, enemies with strong defenses or electrical resistance can resist this, but since it requires direct skin contact to take effect, it is considerably more difficult to do.

Multi-use Pellets:

Deadpool can fire small rounds from launchers in the wrist of the suit, powered and re-loaded in the same manner as his other weapons. These fire with a loud "woosh", and explode with the force of a bala upon contact. He can fire a great deal of these, and rapidly, but if he fires more than 20 at one time, he has to wait one post for a cool-down period before firing any more. The pellets he can launch can take on other properties too, such as glacial (if he wishes to cause slowness, cold, or possibly freezing to opponents) and a smoke-grenade type setting, as well as a set that are so hot when launched that they melt through whatever object they come in contact with (so long as its non-sentient. These are used moreso for infiltration than anything).

The Pellets:



Wrist Blades:

Much like his swords, Deadpool has a pair of smaller blades on each wrist. These aren't as durable, nor as strong, as his other bladed weapons. They're made, primarily, for quick cuts, as they vibrate at a rate specifically designed to slice and slash through hierro and other defenses of the flesh, created also to create a "burning" sensation just under the skin. Like everything else, it is completely possible to negate this effect, or resist the blades, with strong enough defenses.

The Wrist Blades:



The IRC-SE:

Deadpool's main weapon is by far his most dangerous and in-depth. This weapon is a rifle, a customized and modernized version of a standard FN Fal with a silencer on the barrel so that his shots go unheard. However, it has gone through heavy modification, and would not be identified as the gun it is based off of by function alone.

IRC-SE stands for Instantaneous Reishi Combustion and Spiritual Elimination. It is named such because of its devastating effects on the spiritual world.

Much like his other gun-type weapons, Deadpool's IRC-SE pulls ambient reiatsu and reishi from the air around him to load new ammo into the cartridge, making reloading unnecessary and ammo practically infinite.

This rifle has two fire types. The first is an Assault-Rifle type firing rate, in which it will fire rapidly AND accurately, firing many, less powerful shots toward an opponent. The second is his assassination tool, the Sniper Rifle firing method. By using the scope, and flipping a small switch on the side, Deadpool can increase his long-range accuracy exponentially, able to score a direct head shot from over a mile away. These shots are a lot stronger, and must be in order to pierce through the type of defenses one expects when assassinating spiritual targets.

Now, the specific reason why this is Deadpool's most potent weapon is quite apparent once he has actually FIRED it. The firing chamber is specially designed, spraying each bullet with a special combination of potent chemicals as it enters the chamber, and activating the chemicals as soon as the bullet leaves the barrel.

These chemicals, activated by the explosive force of the bullet's launch, cause the bullet itself to burn rapidly through reishi as it travels through the air. This means that it burns through attacks, the makeup of spiritual objects, and spiritual bodies themselves as it streaks through the air. The chemicals do this by breaking down the reishi into its base particles before eliminating them from existence with a special decomposition agent, absorbing the resulting energy to increase the piercing power of the bullet itself. This makes his shots difficult to block, or endure, as the very bodies of most spiritual beings are composed largely of reishi. The bullets become even stronger if Deadpool himself is in the spiritual world, as the more reishi the bullets break through, the stronger they get before impact. However, this ability is not without its drawbacks. First; items of the physical world can slow these bullets. Second; they CAN be dodged. They're difficult to dodge due to Deadpool's accuracy and the speed of the bullets, but they CAN be dodged. Third; If a bullet is about to hit an opponent, and the opponent flashes their reiatsu at a level that is equal or greater than the reishi the bullet has already burned through, the bullet's effect will be negated, and the bullet itself will explode with the force of a stronger-level bala in mid-air.

The IRC-SE:


Teleportation Device:

Finally, Deadpool has a small device on his belt that he can "communicate" with telepathically, allowing him to teleport in and out of locations. This requires absolute focus, and thusly cannot be used in combat situations

Background History

Not too much is known about Deadpool's childhood. Sometime after his mother died from cancer, his father was killed by one of Wade's drunken friends, and he was kicked out of the United States Army Special Forces, "Wade" joined Project X.

Little is known of Wilson's subsequent mercenary activities. At one point he was active in Tangier, Morocco where he romanced a woman named Francie. When this relationship soured, he traveled throughout Asia, and was hired in Japan by a crime lord, the Boss, to infiltrate a sumo-wrestling ring owned by a rival criminal, the Oyakata. Wilson spent three years as a wrestler under the Oyakata's tutelage and became romantically involved with his Mentor’s daughter, Sazae. When the Boss finally ordered the Oyakata's murder, Wilson refused to complete his assignment, allegedly the first time he had ever done so, and relocated to the United States.

In America, Wade met and fell in love with teenage prostitute Vanessa Carlysle, with whom he shared dreams of a better life. Wilson was subsequently hired by Middle Eastern interests to assassinate a blind British Government operative named Althea, also known as Blind Al. Upon arrival at the Zaire base where she was stationed, he killed everyone except for Al who had fled.

Wilson’s employers sought vengeance for his failure by targeting Vanessa, who was rescued by Zoe Culloden, an employee of the inter-dimensional firm Landau, Luckman, Lake, and LeQuare. Culloden was keeping Wilson under surveillance, believing he was destined to play a vital part in a potential threat to the World. Learning that he had contracted cancer, Wilson broke up with his girlfriend Vanessa rather than force her to remain with a terminally ill man. He even gave up his chemo treatments, not wishing to prolong things.

Back in Canada, he was offered hope in the form of Department K, a special weapons development branch of the Canadian government. Wilson became a test subject in Department K’s branch of the joint U.S./Canadian superhuman enhancement project, the Weapon X Program; his cancer was temporarily arrested via the implantation of a healing factor derived from another Department K agent.

Wilson was active in a covert field unit alongside the near-invulnerable Sluggo and the cyborgs Kane and Slayback. Vanessa herself was later affiliated with the team after having manifested shapeshifting abilities, calling herself Copycat.

During one mission, Wilson killed his teammate Slayback. As a result, he was rejected from the Weapon X Program and sent to the Hospice, allegedly a government facility where failed superhuman operatives were treated. However, unknown to the Canadian government, the Hospice’s patients served as experimental subjects for Doctor Killebrew and his sadistic assistant Ajax (known then as The Attendant), with the patients placing bets in a "deadpool" as to how long each subject would live. Killebrew subjected Wilson to various torturous experiments for his own deranged satisfaction.

In due course, Wilson formed a romantic relationship with the cosmic entity Death, who regarded him as a kindred spirit. Wilson started trying to kill himself, to join Death - going so far as to start taunting Ajax by saying his real name (Francis) over and over, which earned him the respect of his fellow Hospice patients. Then Ajax, angered by Wilson’s taunts, lobotomized Worm, the closest thing Wilson had to a friend. At Death’s prompting, Wilson killed Worm to end his suffering.

However, under Killebrew's rules, any patient who killed another was to be executed; Ajax subsequently tore out Wilson’s heart and left him for dead, but Wilson’s thirst for vengeance was so strong that it jump started his healing factor, regenerating his heart, although not curing his scarred body. Wilson then escaped the now-empty room and attacked the guards, making his way to Ajax. Wilson shot him in the chest with two automatic rifles, leaving him for dead. Taking the name Deadpool, he escaped from the Hospice with his fellow patients.

Following his escape, Deadpool served for a time as an enforcer alongside the surgically altered criminal Hammerhead. He soon returned to his freelance mercenary activities, donning a costume in keeping with his new identity. At some point during his mercenary career, he was employed as an assassin by Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of crime. At some point during these years, Deadpool caught up with Blind Al and kept her a prisoner in his home. Al’s attempts to escape only resulted in death for those whose help she sought, leaving her no choice but to resign herself to captivity.

Some years after escaping the Hospice, Deadpool, perhaps seeking compensation for the injuries inflicted upon him by Killebrew, returned to the Canadian government and was treated by Doctor Walter Langkowski, the bestial Sasquatch of Canada’s super-team Alpha Flight. He also acquired a teleportation device around this time.

Deadpool soon found government work unsuited to his temperament, and he abandoned this endeavor. Hired by the criminal genius known as The Wizard, Deadpool at first went to the wrong address and received a job impersonating the criminal Hobgoblin. When again contacted by The Wizard, he joined with fellow criminals the Taskmaster and the Constrictor (Frank Schlichting) in a short-lived version of the Frightful Four.

When this plan also failed, Deadpool sought to reclaim his position as the Kingpin’s assassin, only to be challenged by fellow assassin Bullseye. Deadpool began frequenting the mercenary hangout called the Hellhouse, where the diminutive Patch issued assignments. There he routinely clashed with T-Ray, a voodoo-sorcerer and assassin of whom he maintained a constant dislike. He found employment with the time-traveling arms merchant Tolliver, in whose service he was reunited with Sluggo and Copycat. Unknown to Deadpool, Tolliver subsequently sent Copycat to impersonate another mercenary, Domino. Deadpool also recruited a man named Weasel to act as his weapon supplier, and the two became fast friends, despite numerous acts of violence against him.

Due to having being cured from cancer, Deadpool caught the attention of a former Department K member Butler. The Butler contacted Deadpool, who would provide tissues and blood samples "for the orphans." The Butler would sometimes need Wade on-site for longer stretches, for which Deadpool sometimes used to be kept sedated under simulations, explaining why Wade's memory would malfunction in the future. During that time, the Butler also used mind-wipe drugs to manipulate Deadpool into doing his bidding. To test how far could he push Deadpool, the Butler sent Wilson to kill his parents.

Wade ultimately grew tired of Butler's experiments, and quit the program, returning to freelance mercenary work with nary a second thought.
