Unohana giggled lightly at Toshiro's usual outburst of anger when people didn't send the right respects of his name, however, this time he wouldn't be the captain. Something that slightly worried Unohana about him carrying the position. She was unsure if he would feel less worthy after being a Captain for so long, but it was something he'd have to grow to live with. "Don't worry, you will always be Captain Hitsugaya in my mind. Don't let the rank alter your mindset for our future endeavors, we all need one another for things to work out. And I wouldn't dare ask another to fill the spot over yourself, Captain Hitsugaya." She smirked, being her normal pleasant self that she had managed to create a name for.
Listening to the story of Hinamori's most recent endeavors, Unohana was a little bit thrown off by them. While she knew Hinamori to be someone that was easily manipulated by her personal attachments to others, Retsu also didn't see her to be on that was easily captured due to her potential. Not only this, but she was shocked to hear that the Quincy of all people were related to the matters. What would the Quincy want with the Shinigami now, of all times? Surely the quarrels the two races had once shared with one another were extinguished long ago, though some did still hold their grudges and rightfully so. "Whilst I am pleased to know that Hinamori has returned safely, there are plenty of other shinigami that require the proper training to treat the injuries that Hinamori has experienced. While I may be experienced, Hinamori signed up for this knowing that injury was possible. Therefore, she will be treated just as any other Shinigami that lies within the ranks of the Gotei 13 will be treated and will be escorted to the 4th Squad. If further help is needed beyond that, I will provide assistance, but until then others must learn for themselves as well. Special treatment won't get anyone anywhere." Unohana stated sternly, glancing over at Hitsugaya periodically to ensure he wouldn't be enraged by her choice in words. Though she didn't really mean any harm to Hitsugaya in saying them, she knew that Hinamori was a sensitive subject for the platinum-haired lad.
Tsubasa went on to talk about an old adversary that Unohana had once had, and if she could remember correctly the man stood a damn well challenge against her. He was one of the many that knew her to be the person she once was, making him someone that she'd rather not reconnect ties with. She'd do what she could to keep the beast chained to it's stake. "To be quite honest, Captain Commander, I would prefer it if my shadows stay cast behind me. Surely the man isn't one who he once was when I knew him, and having hounds like that will only hinder our operations in the future. I'll decline your offer to retrieve him, there are many others that could prove to be of assistance to us that aren't considered a danger to us. This includes the training grounds..." She explained trying to portray the point that she didn't really want to fill the place with people she didn't hold very long relationships with. She wished to have people that held reputable names that still held value and hadn't tarnished over time due to their actions. While it might seem a bit cruel, she couldn't just trust anyone with these positions. She understood the groups importance and didn't wish to slander the Gotei's name with its members. Though, inevitable, it could at least be dampened.
Tsubasa continued on to command some of his men that leaped from the shadows to complete a task he requested of him. Likely to do with Tsunashi, though it wasn't something that was of her concern do to her declining his offer. He continued on to talk about the culprits when the name "Sosuke Aizen" came up. To which Unohana grew slightly shocked by the intrusion of words. "That can't be possible..." She muttered and turned away, though she wasn't exactly worried about the man being alive... she was more worried about those that were alive by his side. They were bound to damnation now if it were true. She turned away placing her hand to her chin pondering how such things could be possible. Behind her, she could hear Tsubasa continue to speak with Hitsugaya, which she paid little mind to.
She turned back to Tsubasa once more and bowed to him. "I believe this meeting has been aquitable enough. Please send a messenger if you wish to further discuss arrangements for other members. As of right now I must make my departure. I have given you my word, now I see it to be time I put forth action toward those words. Farewell, Captain Commander Unabara. Until next time." She turned away toward the door simply touching the barrier kido he has placed upon the room making a square cut out the size of the door, walking out. She turned to Hitsugaya and nodded to him before departing back to her home where she would begin to make accommodations for new living arrangements within the walls once more.
