A Familiar Look [Tia]

Pamela Aikira.
651 words - tag Tia - notes.
Pamela had never been a devout combatant. She just didn't find pleasure fighting and hurting others, at least when she was herself. On the rare occasions where she released, her personality changed drastically and she was a beast in most senses of the word. However, she rarely ever released as she knew the way she became. Nevertheless, though she disliked it, fighting was necessary. To further her goals, most of which she did not have clear, she needed to get stronger. And it would be nearly impossible to improve and get stronger without training. She had decided that. She had also had a few encounters were she would have been easily taken advantage of by stronger foes had she not been saved. She needed this. Staring into the distance and scanning the area she spotted a very large rock. She had no real experience yet with training. The times she had fought she fought for survival or out of the will and resolve her release created for her. Aside from that, there was no real impulse or motive. Materializing her bow and her quiver she jumped high into the air. Without wasting time reaching into her quiver she drew the string of her bow which caused an arrow to appear in between the draw range created and fire at very high speeds. Hovering in the air, her expression showed she was not happy. And that, was rare enough for her. She was always so joyful and smiling for no apparent reason. But this was serious. She needed to do this. But...she didn't know how. Rushing from left to right she shot arrow in opposite directions and used her sonido to speed up to and hopefully catch both of the arrows. At their high speeds and their contrasting directions it was a failed attempt every time. Deep inside however, she knew this. Nevertheless she would not give up. She wasn't sure whether her method would ensure her any success, but she had to believe. She had to believe it would. With every shot fired, each arrow seemed to be traveling at a faster speed and considerably stronger. No. It was not because she had miraculously gotten stronger. It was something else. As strange as it was for her, specially in her seal state to feel like this, she was upset. She was upset with herself. She was terrified of her future if she did not amount to more and change her own strengths and weakness. Grasping the string as hard as she could, it was possible to see tears begin to form in her eyes. Rushing as fast as she could while she fired she hoped the distance and the speed would clear away her thoughts and any remnants of the substance flowing from her eyes. All of a sudden she felt a presence which made her stop and gaze aimlessly around her. It was strong. It was really strong. She could not remember the last time she had felt a presence like this. Part of her wanted to find who this person was. She needed to get stronger after all. However, she was a fool. If someone as strong as that was truly nearby, they'd want nothing to do with a weakling like her. Though part of her told her to run, she could not accomplish the task. Remaining immobile for the first couple of minutes, she was not sure if what ran down her cheek was sweat or tears from her earlier inner struggle. Exhaling, she began to take short steps forward. Judging by the distance and the strength of the spiritual pressure, whoever it was, it was nearing Pamela and about to come face to face with her. The encounter, like the individual who bore such energy remained a mystery, but she couldn't imagine her fate would be much worse than the nightmare of living as she was. Weak. |

Hueco Mundo was quiet. It always seemed to be the way as of late, many people who would normally reside within this world of Hollows were gone, taken away by affiliations with such groups as Shadow Fall or K-world, yet they didn't have even an ounce of time to come back home and visit. It was sad in the eyes of Tia Halibel, yet she did prefer not to dwell on such thoughts. For the past few years, Tia was found mostly wondering the deserts of Hueco Mundo, coming upon settlements of hollows that were abandoned after the incidents in the realm of Earth or thrown aside as weak. For years she had met weaklings such as these hollows, for years she was constantly challenged by them for being a 'failed espada' or a 'reject' of the hollow race. She didn't like the words they threw at her, it wasn't something that could be adjusted to, but she didn't let it get to her heart. Even so, listening to people as pathetic as them was a sure way to ruin any chance of self-worth she had. Tia Halibel did have to wonder, however. She wasn't sure whether wondering the vast emptiness of Hueco Mundo was good for her. She had recently joined forces with the likes of K-world, however, something that had put an end to her travels.
Yet as she walked through the white sand that coated the surface of Hueco Mundo, her mindset began to shift from these thoughts of her past to the present. Rumbles of power, tiny ripples send through the very atmosphere could be heard through the air, minor vibrations hitting her body. Hands curled up and placed just under her exposed breasts, Halibel couldn't help but give a slight stare at what she saw off in the distance. A arrancar wielding some sort of bow, letting off shots from a large bow at seemingly no intended target. Taking steps closer, more features about this woman's body became apparent. She had thigh-high shorts on, barely long enough to cover her behind, meanwhile only being slight horn-like material covering her nipples. Her pink hair had white horns protruding from her skull and a tail coming out from just above her butt as well. A peculiar appearance for an arrancar, however this wasn't the most evident thing about this girl to Tia. Keeping her bust held up with her arms under them, she let out a huff of interest. Taking steps closer and closer, the former espada began to observe the arrancar becoming suspicious, her body seemingly going into shock at the pressure of Halibel. Interesting... Halibel thought. Normally she wouldn't pay an attention to a girl such as this, however something stood out against the rest of the hollow in this dark, pitch black world.
Slipping into a sonido, Tia would now appear atop of a rock that laid beside the girl, her body being propped high, back held straight and her right leg crossed over her left leg, hands held elegantly in her lap. "You're new." Two soft words escaped from Tia's mouth before finally letting her presence be known. Tia held no hostile aura about her, in fact she did not plan on attacking this woman unless she gave a reason to do so. Running her fingers softly in her lap, she'd look down curiously again at the woman before her. "Don't be afraid. I have no interest in fighting you. Although, what are you doing here? Training? Running?" There were many options as to what she was doing here, except none seemed right. She still had the essence of tears running down her face and sweat falling from her brow. She looked angry, yet Tia could not pinpoint the reason as to why this was. Uncoiling her crossed legs, she'd push herself off the rock and place her hands under her breasts again, crossing her arms. Throughout all of this, her face would remain a simply emotionless state, not a single bit of fear, sadness, worry, happiness, cockiness or even narcissism cross her face. She was simply... there. She simply was there, no emotions running through her other than curiosity. She was not worried about an attack against her, she could easily defend against it if it happened, yet someone like this? They seemed lost in a way. Even so, it was a potential recruit for K-world right here, if she could bring them into the fold, perhaps it might prove her worth even more.
Yet this could go many ways. It could either cause her to find an ally, or it could have ended up in a completely different manner, one where Halibel is forced to kill her. Depending on the actions of the arrancar woman before her, Tia had a few decisions to make. She did not want to fight her, Halibel wasn't someone who was going out and looking for a fight -- she was someone who tried to avoid fighting, using it as a resort if someone she loved was hurt or she was pushed to it. None the less, she was curious for the girls reaction. She seemed peculiar, not only in appearance, but the very aura she gave off. Halibel was intrigued by this. Never the less, the wheel of fortune was spinning. Who would it land on in the end? It was only a matter of time.
