The Zanna Nara Mafia

• The Zanna Nara Mafia was originally created in the late 1800's. In Post-Feudal Italy they began as a few families whom had decided to protect their farms, friends and families. They had banded together in order to do so. For nearly a decade that is all the family began as until the need presented itself for the area around them to be protected. With many years in southern Italy they protected the area and in turn became the head of it. Continuously growing the families weren't held by law so they spread into not only new area's but business's legal and illegal. By the 1950's the Zanna Nara Mafia had control of nearly all of Italy's illegal business, 75% of low and mid government and protected it all the same. With new potential found in America a small group of the Family(what they called themselves) transplanted themselves to America. The leader of the group trusted with the future of the Zanna Nara Mafia was Abele Zanna.



• Abele immigrated over with his family and four other families which he had held closest to him at the age of 22. Immigrating over to New York City they immediately began to make their presence known. First starting a business of his own being a Italian restaurant his and the other families began to implant themselves in the area. Only the adults within these families knew about their true intentions so for 8 years they implanted themselves into the community.

They slowly became well known, for instance Abele's restaurant was one of the top restaurants in New York City. Another family which immigrated over with them became extremely influential and apparent in the police force. After enough years they finally started making their moves to make New York City theirs. Taking "protection" over the local business's while the area was rampant with gangs and such was easy, and as soon as those were under their protection the illegal businesses being less put together than most were just the same. It only took 2 years for them to own 80% of the illegal business and for them to have 75% of the legal businesses under their protection they were effectively in power. Being in power they had made a life in America.

By the age of 40 being in America for 18 years Abele was able to make decisions on their future now. Originally their family was created from necessity. They lived for each other and did what it took to stay alive. Being caring parents Abele and his wife decided to give their children the choice whether or not to join when they were of age. Meaning 18. They had two sons each of which with their own strengths and each of which perfect for the Family. The eldest brother joined without hesitation, but the younger one hesitated. He took exactly one week to decide whether or not to join and after that one week he declined. Being the parents that they were they happily still accepted their son, but after 2 years the son left for the west coast. They still kept in contact, but he was never active in the Family.



• After so many years in power during the golden age of their power the Family had spread over the world. Over the 30 years that Abele was in power around in 1980 he spread the family over the continent. With bases planted everywhere in North America by him and his family it was apparent everywhere, but transparent as well. It was firmly implanted in all Government and many large cities including business, legal and illegal. With the original family who were in Italy they had already spread through Europe and part of Russia. Being so ever present they were preview to secrets and things that most humans never would know. Abele sought after these secrets to protect his family. In turn he became one of the few spiritually awoken humans. His power being raw but extremely strong he was able to be the guardian his family deserved. Spreading this to few of the other leaders within the family these people became known as the Scudi Benedetti, or the Blessed Shields. Their powers allowed them extensive lives and have strengths not available to many humans.

After nearly two decades of training, teaching and perfecting something happened that shook the foundation of the world in late 2009. These powers and what was related to such things became known to all. With new people with the powers and groups appearing every day it was the beginning of a bloody and continuous war for control. The Scudi Benedetti separated to places where they were most needed and fought. Slowly the family was being whittled down. At first it was smaller towns which were being taken over, then it got worst. Capitals being taken, entire families being killed it was alike to the times of the origin. After 150 years when Abele's wife had passed and him and his son were at the head of the Family in North and South America. By this time the war had been so bloody that they only had bases within 15 Major cities around the continent. Having out-lived many others with his strength Abele was now the true Godfather of the Zanna Nara. Unfortunately that wouldn't mean much for long.



• Living as the head of the family Abele lived as the head in the shadows. They had been whittled down, but within their remaining cities they were strong until the year 2160. 10 years earlier there was a sudden change. The beings known as Arrancar, Hollows and Demons multiplied in the worst ways. They spread like a disease that was destroyed cities and killed thousands of people. Each of the cities under Abele's control were protected, but as time went by they fell little by little.

A worthy side note though is that during this time from the shadows Abele protected his son's descendants which had decided not to join them. Though some died he did his best to keep a strong protection around them.

For the next 10 years dealing with the boom in each race it had come down to 3 cities which were left including New York City, and what's worse is that what came next was something no one was prepared for. On each base of operations there was a simultaneous strike. After two days of fighting though he hated his own guts and wished for death alongside his family with his son's last breath he protected his father and allowed him to survive.

After this day the entire family was eliminated in North and South America except him.



• Abele had enough self hate after this that he had no idea what to do. So he did what he thought was best. At this time he was no longer fit to be the head of the Zanna Nara. He had let his entire family die so all he would be good for was giving them one more shot to live. To do that he would need to be extremely patient.

For 50 years after the fateful day he was in deep hiding. When he finally resurfaced there was only one chance he had and it was the descendants of his son. The one who had made the choice not to join. With everyone else dead Abele tracked down every single descendant of his son and waited. For nearly two centuries he watched over and protected the descendants of his son. He also trained his powers in this time so as to become someone who could help this generation rise. He watched his son's descendants for who would have the right strength and qualities to become the head of the Zanna Nara. Finally in the year 2400 he found him. A boy at the age of 10 showed amazing potential for power and qualities befitting someone he could give this legacy to.

One thing no matter the generation the Zanna family always had something that defined who they were. A single symbol, the symbol of their family. Abele now looking the age of a spry 80 year knocked on their door with his cane and his necklace which held the symbol of their family and as soon as the father opened the door and saw the symbol the man was immediately welcomed. The story of Abele Zanna was passed down through the generations, and to his surprised they knew everything from when his wife was alive. It seems that his wife had decided to tell their son everything before she died, because of this and the current knowledge he was able to pass himself as a distant relative. Telling them the full history they at first believed he was crazy, but for some reason the father the one with his blood believed him. With their last chance held with that son Abele took him and for 10 years straight trained him.

After those 10 years he gave his descendant the last hope of the Zanna Nara a list of potential candidates, the power to lead and the goal in mind. Right at their last few minutes of speaking Abele had lived so many generations that he decided it was time for him to leave. So as he sent off the new Boss of the Zanna Nara he passed on and left the Legacy to him.
