Re: Out with the old & In with the new (Private - CPK)

Isn't that just great... the outcome of her actions was becoming exactly what she had feared. She would have never wished these outcomes to on the two captains, not for her sake. Whether it was because of her undying determination or her pretty face she didn't want to be the cause of such a battle. The two would definitely lose their positions as captain if things go to be physical. Eliah wouldn't let these actions stand, not due to her own emotions. That wouldn't fit Eliah's new lifestyle, not too long ago something such as this would slid with her. She'd simply shrug it off, but times were different for her. She didn't want to be the cause of conflict anymore, she wanted to be the cause of the solution. She wanted to be the reason their problems found salvation through her actions. She was tired of being the troubled duck and she'd refuse to continue her adolescent actions of rebellion and feeding to her anarchist behaviors of taking the easy way out.
She could recall being called lazy by that of her higher-ups within the second squad, but the very same people would come to her asking her to do the most minuet of tasks. Had she been given responsibility, she would have responded near accordingly. At least it would be better than what she was before, but no they refused to give her such opportunities due to her negligence in with completing her tasks earnestly. These were the consciences to her actions, and she had become grateful for what Captain Wolf had presented her. He even found qualities within her that she, herself, was able to realize. Just by knowing how the second squad operated he was able to depict where Eliah's future was headed with them and granted her permission to join him, but why was she hesitant that to say that was enough? She battled with herself laying in her new barracks wondering why she chose him, what made her different from the rest of the slums that were in the Gotei 13. She just couldn't find the answer, maybe it was just an opportunity and it was as simple as that. She'd refuse to accept it as so, though. She sought out power and that's what she would get, but she'd never think to find herself on all fours groveling for the approval of another Captain. Was it all just a cry for help or was she being true to her dreams and trying to accomplish them without fault. Her mind still battled with itself to search for the answers.
Lio questioned the seventh squad's captain about her tears and whether he was the influence to them, which was true in a sense. As if it weren't for the two crossing paths and exchanging such deep thoughts through eye contact she wouldn't have been dwindling for answers as she was now. However, she felt as though these tears were long needed as she hadn't expressed her feelings in so long to anyone, not to this extent. She need this emotional outburst it would be a key component to her future. She knew the three would look back on it once she made it to a captain's spot and laugh over the matter. As of right now though, the heat and tension between the two captains began to rise. Wolf began to speak words that would once again grab her heart from her chest and pulsate in sync with vibrations from his own speech. It was the exact reaction that she would expect from her humble, yet cold-hearted captain. She knew that the man cared even though they had only shared the same squad for such a minuet amount of time. However, since that time Eliah had put in a lot of work on her own laboring away at trying to become strong enough for her Zanpakutō's acceptance. However, she felt as though it just was never going to be enough. Thus, she consulted the new captain with the opportunity to let her grow as well. Though, she was a bit surprised that Wolf was pleased with her outreach toward another source. It most likely had something to do with him being the reason that he was where he was today.
Suddenly Eliah's pupils became pins as her captains reiatsu began to make the air denser, however he'd keep it to a suitable level for Eliah's sake. She knew that wasn't even near the extent of his power, but it was enough for the ground to say otherwise. Yet, for some reason or another the moment had just clicked. She all of a sudden dried her eyes up as Wolf began to speak to her once more. Ambition. This was the key component she was missing, she had goals and she had sought fill them, but she had never though of them much deeper than completing them and continuing on. She hadn't looked at the entire picture, she suddenly began to picture herself providing the same words of wisdom to some as pitiful as she was at these dire times. Her fists began to tremble as anger began to overtake her emotions. How foolish could she have been to let such vein thoughts of her superior fall into her mind thinking that he would scold her in her efforts to obtain her ambitions. If anything he would praise the efforts. She truly was grateful for the man, she'd have to prove to him that her efforts would not be stopped by such emotions as these.
The two exchanged banter toward one another while she had been contemplating her errors and as Zeda finished up he walked over to her and spoke words of his own wisdom to her. The words spoke as true as Wolf's did and set her heart ablaze ready to set fire to any obstacle that would pose a threat. Yet, she felt betrayed as he finished his sentence. The words caused her to flinch, they made her feel as though she was just a piece of meat. How could one sentence lead to such an astray one? Perhaps she just took it in the wrong way, but what did he intend on doing in his barracks with her? It was obvious that he too would seek power. What better way to portray such power than to take advantage of the petite woman?
"No!" She shouted as she began to regain her footing. It was now that she had come to realize that she would not require his help, his help would not be needed. His rivalry would, she would surpass him. She would do more than that, she would be his demise. She would take his spot as captain no matter what squad he was in and she would do so with her own ability and power. His strengths would mean nothing to her once she had unlocked her own. This was the drive she needed. "Thank you, Wolf... Your words have healed whatever the hell it was going through my head. I am forever grateful to such words. However... Her fists began to ball up at her sides as her teeth began to cling together as though they were magnetic opposites unable to separate one another. She snapped her head diagonally to the left and flinched as she thought of the words she was about to unleash unto her new rival. "Zeda...Yuudeshi... Captain of the Seventh Squad. I will surpass you. You are a flawed Captain in many aspects, you exist in the shadows of those before you...I will not fall to the same fate." Her speech was now perfectly clear, but sent in a very monotonous manner. She looked to Wolf still holding her palms in anger. "You've completed this task, I ask your guidance... but first I must know his power." She let out a demonic smirk as she finished her sentence. She knew that Wolf would be all for testing the limits of his prior Captain. "However, being that Captain Yuudeshi is a man of the book, we will take these to grounds that he approves of. With all due respect. Her head snapped back to the direction as the look that would send children into tears dredged deep into the eyes of Zeda Yuudeshi. She had heard rumors of the their family's power, but she wouldn't let rumors overtake her decision on who was the best Captain here. That would be tested through trial, though it was much to ask of her Captain he most likely would enjoy the action.
It wasn't every day these situations happened after all...
