Lost little girl [jj]
Mon Dec 02, 2013 4:13 pm
The young girl walked through small village, looking around at all the different buildings. She couldn’t have been older than nine years if one judged by her body, and she was wearing an eastern garb known as a kimono. Her hair was white with black ends, two cat ears poking up through the hair on her head. Her brown eyes betrayed the slight nervousness she was feeling as she tried to flatten her bangs over the strange glyph on her forehead, a red mark like an oval with a line coming off each end. Behind her a fluffy tail swished worriedly as she checked the contents of the handbag she had with her. Within it were some paper strips, a small container of food, and a small amount of money. Sighing to herself, the young girl looked around, attempting to determine a place that would allow her to sleep the night. Amelia didn’t like being lost, and even more so on days like today, how would her family deal with her missing the celebration? She tried to shake the thought out of her head, that wasn’t what she needed now. Her lips returned to their usual smile as she continued to roam through the village, looking for a place to rest.

The Truth will free my soul...
"Hmm...?"
A young man had been staring up at the cloudy day above, wondering about the clouds that remained so firmly lodged in the sky high above the Sugiuran Realm. "Is that girl lost...?" He muttered to himself, his eyes hyperfocusing on her as he examined her, the ability of an investigator triggering through his body as she passed by him. However, there was a smile on her face. It was most strange, then, that the male had come to this conclusion. Naturally it would be strange... when the Motive Magic was triggered. It was R Raito, the male who looked at her through dark black bangs, who was wielding his unique brand of Magecraft.
It would be an injustice to allow a girl like that to be wandering out like this by herself... He mused to himself, as he began walking after her. "Oi." He stated simply, his voice amplified to her ears through the use of Sugiuran Magic. If she stopped, he would reach her calmly, if not, he would be forced to jog up to her. No matter what, however, he would keep his calm, staring gaze. This gaze was the trait of the male that was often disconcerting; he never seemed to blink, constantly taking in information. At last, when he reached her, he would hold out his hand.
"My name.. is R. I see that you're lost; don't worry about how. I work for the Clock Tower... But I'm off work right now. What are you looking for?" He asked her, his own motive to help her plain in his features and tone. All he could do, for now, was hope that she would accept his request of help, or at least allow for him to guide her to one who most definitely could give her assistance. That, after all, was the proper method of Justice...

Amelia’s ears perked up as she heard a noise from behind her, as if someone was calling to her. Stopping in her tracks, hoping for the impossible, the little girl turned around to face the one who had called out to her. However, unlike what she had hoped, it was not anyone she knew of. He seemed to be a peculiar stranger, and Amelia tilted her head to the side slightly as she observed him, not sure what to think of him. His black hair, his whole appearance, the young sugiura had never met anyone like him. This only heightened her curiosity though, she was now thoroughly confused as to why a random stranger like him would call out to her. She didn’t let the confusion show on her face though, as always she smiled as the man walked towards her, waiting to see what he wanted from her. When he caught up with her though, most of the confusion left Amelia, the words the man spoke alleviating much of what had been bothering the young female. He told her his name was R, and he worked at the Clock Tower but was off work as of right now. He also understood that she was lost and seemed to offer to help her. Once the man finished talking, Amelia giggled softly before responding.
“So you’re name is R? That’s a strange name… my name is Amelia. Yes, I seem to have lost my way around here, sorry to trouble you. I’m just looking for a place to stay for a small while, I really don’t know this area well, so…”
Her voice trailed off as she looked towards the ground, unsure of what to say next. She wasn’t even sure how to get back to her own home, let alone the place where the celebration was taking place. Her tail drooped slightly for a few moments before she remembered something the male had said.
“Oh, you said you work for the Clock Tower! Isn’t that part of the mages association? So are you a magus? Um… I was just wondering… because… well…”
She nervously pushed her bangs away from her forehead, clearly displaying the magical glyph upon her forehead for R to see.
“Well… I was just wondering if you could tell me what that mark means… please, do you know anything about it sir?”
Her eyes looked hopefully up towards the male, hoping he could answer the question for her. She remembered it had been on her forehead since she had awakened from the sickness, the sickness that should have taken her. She wanted to know what had happened then, how she had survived what should have killed her, and hopefully this man could explain things to her.

"Well, my actual name is Riyu R Raito… But R is statistically much easier to remember." He explained to her, one foot reaching up and scratching at an itch that was on the other leg. His actions were peculiar, but that gaze he maintained with totally clear. He could see she was plainly confused, and also see that she was attempting to hide it. However, such things did not work with the Magus of Investigations, though he made no mention of it at present. Giggling…? What for..? He wondered to himself as she continued talking. "It's no trouble… Especially since I went out of my way to do it…" He explained to her, before blinking. "A place to stay? Like a home?" He asked her, before seeing her looking at the ground.
He would allow for her to speak whatever was on her mind at this point in time; he was in no hurry. He noticed her tail drooping slightly, the action recollecting him of the fact that his own traits resembled that of an owl. The never needing to blink… the 360 degree turning of the head… He reflected inwardly, though he gave no signs outwardly. "That's right, I’m a magus Sugiura, like yourself." He informed her as he saw her pull away her bangs, revealing he seal."Oh. Yes.. I noticed that when I first saw you. You've got some magic there.. Though it seems to be rather horrendously complex. I could most certainly understand it if I was given some time, but all I can tell after this much exposure to it is that it has to do with 'summoning'." He explained to her, before blinking.
"And you don't have to call me sir… Leave the formalities for the formal." He explained to her, his slightly dead-eye look clear as he explained to this to her, before suddenly becoming curious. "You've died before and this appeared when you reemerged?" He asked of her, his Motivation Magic having activated and identified the motivation behind her question. "Did anything else change since then?" He asked her, hoping to obtain more clues. He wasn't certain of what he could find, but he felt like there was something...more to this case than met the eye.

Amelia felt happy when he told her his full name, she didn’t like the concept of just calling him R. It was the concept of disrespect for the name, which was just a pointer to the concept of the male before her. When he asked her whether she meant a home, she closed her eyes, thinking about how to best answer the man. She wasn’t sure how to get back to her parent’s house, and to be honest, she needed to get out of their hair. She knew she wasn’t really their child, but they had cared for her as if she was their own all these years. Amelia just hoped they and her brother would forgive her for missing everything that was going on, she wasn’t usually one to get lost like this. In the end, she shook her head, smiling as she answered Riyu.
“Um… I’m not sure Sir, I’m just looking for a place to stay until I figure out how to get back to my parents, I hope they won’t be upset that I got lost…”
His response to the glyph on her forehead and the questions that followed caused her to gasp and blush from embarrassment. She wasn’t sure how to tell the man about the other changes, she wasn’t even sure how they had happened. Sighing, she decided she would answer completely all but one question, for that one question should not be answered while out in public like this.
“So it has something to do with summoning… thank you for that information Riyu. As for whether I’ve died before and come back… I’m not too sure myself. I was sick, a disease that was said to be incurable, and I was supposed to die from it. I was on my bed, I could feel my body dying, I knew I only had a short time left to live. Then, things blacked out, and when I came to I was in this body, my other body lying dead on the bed. Whether I was actually in the other body when it died I do not know…”
She trailed off, thinking over that incident in her head. What had happened to her, how had she managed to save herself from that illness? Perhaps the man before her could help her, but she was not sure about it and didn’t want to ask this favor from him. Shaking her head lightly, she remembered the other question he had asked.
“Um… as for any other changes… yes, there were some. However, I don’t wish to discuss those details in public. Perhaps we could take this discussion somewhere more suitable for that?”
She tilted her head as she looked in to his eyes, waiting for his reply. Whatever his answer was, she would have to take it. This man had helped her discover a little bit about herself, and she needed to respect that. So for now, she waited for his decision.

"Hmm. I suppose you could stay at my Tower-allotted room for the moment." He told her in reply, unsure of how to react to her smiling face. He blinked, curious as to why she was blushing, but eventually decided that there was no real need to pry. "You are most welcome." He replied, his hands sliding into his pockets as he leaned close to her, examining the glyph very, very closely. "Interesting. So do you know what made you the new body?" He asked her curiously, wondering what exactly it was that had been able to both create a new body and transfer a soul to it.
"Hmm. Certainly, I suppose."
However, in his mind he was constantly asking himself Why? His curiosity was truly piqued from this girl, and he desired to know exactly what her motivation for this action was. Intense embarrassment. Oh my. I wonder what it could be… He thought to himself, before he reached a hand out to her. "If you take my hand I can take us there in an instant. I have nothing better to do." He explained to her simply, his head tilting to the side as he accepted her proposal. If she took his hand, they would both vanish with a CRACK, before reappearing in an ordinary looking room.
"Would you like some cake?" He asked her as he released his hand, stumbling away over to the counter. This was truly the most odd thing about the room, which was a big space with a mattress, a much more used-looking desktop computer, kitchen area and door that led to a bathroom. This was where R lived, and the only unusual part of it was that the counter he had just stumbled over to was piled over a meter high in… sweets. All kinds of sweets, from sugar cubes to fruits to cakes to candies… All were there and available for taking. As he did so, he got two slices of cake, walking over to the little table in the kitchen area and setting them down, one on his side and one across. He sat down himself, taking two forks out of his pocket, throwing one onto her plate and another onto his own, before sitting down.
As he sat down, however, an odd thing happened. He brought up his bare feet, bringing them to rest on the chair, before gripping the fork and getting a bite, putting it in his mouth. "Ahright." He muttered, before swallowing. "Now, explain what the thing is. You've made me extraordinarily curious now and I can't think of what it could possibly be that would make you react that way.

Amelia shook her head no in response to his question about what made her new body, she had no idea what exactly had happened on that day. However, he offered to take her to his room allotted to him by the Clock Tower. This was fine by her, at least this would give her a place to stay until she could return to her parents. Taking his hand when he offered it to her, a loud crack being heard as he transported the two of them in to his room. Looking around, the young girl’s eyes were instantly drawn to the large piles of sweets on the counter. She nodded softly when he asked her if she wanted a piece of cake, walking over to the table as he did. She had barely sat down and lifted the fork he had placed on her plat, when the question of her oddity came up. Sighing softly, she put down the fork and stood again, walking to where she was sure he could clearly see her. Then, she methodically removed all of her clothes until she was standing before him entirely naked, blushing profusely. It was clear from this view what had changed about the young female. Her genitals were ambiguous, but to the point where it was foolish to think of it that way. It was as if her clitoris had been enlarged and perfectly shaped in to a fully functioning penis. No testicles were present, and other then that her genitals seemed to be perfectly normal. After a minute or two, Amelia hastily put her clothes back on and sat down, looking down at her legs nervously. She wasn’t sure whether she should have done what she just did, but she just wasn’t sure how to exactly describe what had happened to her body with words. For now she sat there nervously, waiting to see how the man would respond.

He paused, both of his eyes blinking as he looked at her from his extremely odd sitting position, wondering why she had set down her fork and gotten out of her chair. Wordlessly he watched her as she began to remove the articles of clothing around her body, his eyes blinking at an enormously fast pace as he gathered the information. ...What... The... Hell.. is that...? He thought, as at last he realized that her clitoris was... well... swelled to the size of...
"I see what you mean by oddity." Was all that came out of his mouth, his head tilting nearly 90 full degrees to the left as he examined her for over a minute, his deductive traits kicking in. "You are definitely a woman; when you grow up, you will have breasts and be able to have a child... Though it seems that you will have some problems when it comes to your... intercourse. I assume you know what these words mean; but there is one thing you should know. That's much too large for one of your age; I don't think you have to worry about it being any bigger than that. However, from this, and from what you told me earlier..." He muttered, before finally rolling out of his chair as she began to dress, his body rolling repeatedly on the floor as he stopped in front of a bookcase, not even looking up as he gripped one of the books leather bindings, gripping it as he brought it down to his head's level.
"Yes, if I had to say... Indeed, that would make sense... You were reconstructed improperly." He stated simply, at last rolling about as he stood up straight, walking towards her and placing his arms on her shoulders, one of his legs giving out so that he was on her eye-level. "...I'm a match maker for a living. Your condition... is called being a Hermaphrodite. I don't know, exactly, what to tell you...Why does our race have such... problems...?" He muttered, his voice extremely quiet. In reality, he was holding back tears. '
"Tell me everything. Absolutely everything about yourself, please. I'm sorry for the severity of this request... but I want to, need to understand. Because you will have a difficult life in one of the places it matters most, but I want to see if that can be avoided, if in any way possible."

Amelia listened to the man’s words as she dressed herself, taking in every bit of information that he provided for her. Once she was seated again, she found her appetite had severely lessened, probably due to her anxiety. This anxiety was only heightened by how the man acted next, her eyes widening as she heard him say that she was reconstructed improperly. Her eyes quickly narrowed before relaxing as she processed this tidbit of information, glad she finally had more knowledge on what had happened to her. When he came over to her, putting his hands on her shoulders and lowering himself to be at eye level with her, worry raised within her, unsure what was happening now. He told her that her condition was known as being a hermaphrodite, though this seemed to worry him a lot. Having mentioned that he was a matchmaker, he then went on to request her to tell him everything about her, to which the young looking female whimpered softly.
“Everything? But why do you need to know everything? I… I don’t even know where to start really… or what to tell you… I guess I can start with my age though. I’m twenty one years old, despite my current body. Apparently in the last fifteen years my physical growth has been extremely slow, only having three years worth of physical growth. Oh, my favorite food is salmon, though steak is almost as good. Hm… I haven’t shown anybody this in a while… it might be nice.”
Reaching in to her handbag, she pulled out three of the strips of paper from within, all bearing the same mark as Amelia had on her forehead. Taking a deep breath, she put the first on the table in front of her before pouring a tiny amount of her energy in to the symbol upon it. Almost immediately, a small puppy appeared out of thin air atop the piece of paper, the same mark on its forehead as on Amelia’s forehead. With chocolate brown fur, there was one thing that seemed very odd about the puppy, it had three tails. Smiling softly, Amelia scratched her hand softly on the puppy’s head before turning towards R to give him some sort of explanation.
“These marks seem to appear randomly around me, wherever I may be. The only thing I’ve noticed is that they seem to appear whenever I desire something really badly. For instance, the one I just used came about when I was younger and I really, really wanted a friend. By pouring a small amount of energy in to the marks, the being appears. Always the same being, exactly the same as the first time they appeared. I ended up moving all the marks on to strips of paper in order to make them easier to keep with me, and the fact that apparently any mage can activate them. Anyways… is there anything else I should tell you.”
Smiling, Amelia went back to petting her three tailed puppy, happy to once again have her old friend with her.
