Re: To Re-enter [Wollongong][Australia War Arc]

Sagumi hadn’t paid much attention to the third girl that seemed to be arrayed against him, or at least arrayed near the other two. She seemed out of place there in a way that was...well...difficult for Sagumi to frame in anything resembling a polite manner. At the moment however she seemed like that awkward kid your parents invited to your birthday party without consulting you...who then proceeded to run around wiping boogers on all of your friends and generally making for a miserable night and no one understood why on Earth they were even there. Sagumi wasn’t even sure if she knew why she was there. There was one curious thing about her though and it caught even Sagumi’s attention for a moment, a short moment, but a moment. When her temper flared, the area around her changed...things started dying. Sagumi had never seen a power like that before and quite honestly, it terrified him. He never knew any humans who could do something like that, even with the wide range of powers his species was gradually developing. In fact, he didn’t know of any races who could do something so terrifying. Sagumi was, at his core, the personification of life and rebirth. He could not die without being reborn, he manipulated Chi, which in essence was the energy of life, and his personality itself was bristling with life. Even in this serious a moment, the man’s face was rather animated, full of life. The thought of a power that indiscriminately erodes the concept of life, well, that terrified him. In what was quite possibly an ironic decision, Sagumi decided that if they opportunity arose, ending her life as well would not be a poor idea.
She wasn’t the objective right now though, she might become the objective later but for now, Lilium needed to die. The strange, awkward girl was a threat, but did not yet deserve death. She’d be ignored for now. While he wasn’t very good at sensing energy, at all, he could still at least feel in some point, between the little girl and the slightly less little girl, which of the two he would need to be more aware of. So far, the one who peppered the sky with lasers seemed like the clear choice. She also seemed like the louder individual out of the two of them as, in response to a perfectly reasonable and polite request to extract herself from the area, she decided to pepper him with the language of an insubordinate and obstinate child, which he supposed was fitting given her appearance. Perhaps it wasn’t an illusion like he had originally thought with a majority of these supernatural beings. Maybe she really was just a five year old on a stage that she wasn’t mentally prepared for. That mentality was what forced Sagumi’s attention to shift slightly as he watched the barrier being erected around the city, sharing a similar energy to the laser he had just drilled through. It wasn’t anything he had ever seen before and while he was halfway listening to the girl as she rambled on about how horrible a person he was, yadda yadda, etc etc, Sagumi’s mind had drifted to what that strange energy was. It wasn’t Reiatsu, no, he had seen...and killed...enough Shinigami to be able to at least identify Reiatsu when he saw it. So that ruled out the thing being erected by an Arrancar, Hollow, or a Shinigami...and it definitely wasn’t chi, so a human probably didn’t generate it. What did he manage to get himself in to?
It was the name, the name that left the young girl’s lips that caused him to direct the brunt of his attention back at her little speech. He knew she was chastising him for the desire to kill Lilium, it’s why he didn’t bother paying attention, that and she opened up with a pretty asinine question, what else could “humans are hurt” mean, but she didn’t refer to the black tressed doll as Lilium, she called her Shisome. A small look of confusion flared across his face before being shielded by a smug smile as he saw the energy pulse out of her, the same kind that the barrier was made out of. He preferred violence to words as a means of communication to begin with, words lie, words deceive, words hide one's intentions. The impact of a word can be taken back if miscalculated. Actions were not so easy, actions were not so forgiving. Actions showed the true self simply because weight of lying was far more real and far less natural for the deceiver. He hated lies. He, perhaps thankfully for both parties involved, did not have time to respond to the little girl’s words and aggression as Lilium placed her hand in front of the girl, a sign that convinced him the strange energy she possessed was why Lilium had chosen her as her pet in this world. It didn’t matter either way, she wasn’t the target. When the target did speak...she sounded exactly like he expected her to. Not her voice itself, though that was easy to change, but the words themselves, the inflection, the tone, they were all exactly what Sagumi wanted to hear if he was going to give her a chance to live, they were the exact right words and that was obnoxiously suspicious, it made him even more sure despite the creature addressing her by what he believed a fabricated name.
It wasn’t even difficult to guess at what he wanted to hear either, he outright told her that he left the men alive, so he too wanted to avoid casualties, but even so to a degree it worked. As Lilium walked past him and the small girl, after whispering to her, started squawking again. Sagumi didn’t respond, at least for the moment. Her message hadn’t changed from her earlier demands outside of the interest in protection of the city, which was something he had no interest in contesting. Finding Lilium here was a colossal, fortuitous coincidence and the man had no interest in doing anything to the city he had chosen for a vacation. He didn’t care if Vizards, Hollows, Humans or Shinigami controlled this place, the politics of it were beyond boring to him and provided that no one was injured or hurt by the owners, Sagumi didn’t give a rats ass. What he did give a rat’s ass about was that his target was standing but a few feet away from him and was walking off, apparently with no desire to involve the other two girls in the area. Sagumi wasn’t sure if she was doing that because she genuinely did not wish pain to befall them or if she simply didn’t want them to see who she really was when Sagumi forced it out of her, for the moment Sagumi was going to assume the latter. His eyes followed the doll girl as she walked past him, his body turning to follow her. He made it a few steps before turning back around and directing his attention back at the young, blue haired girl, a cavalier smile on his face as Lilium had walked out of earshot.
“The city is yours, as long as no one gets hurt you can do what you want with this place. I only care about killing her, whatever you do here that is unrelated to that is unrelated to me. Lilium lies, and Lilium needs to die.”
Sagumi didn’t pay her another glance after that, at least not visibly. He still made sure he was aware of her movements in some capacity, in case she made good on her threat to follow them and intervene in the event Sagumi gained the upper hand or even attacked Lilium and even he could feel her energy gathering behind him at the thought of violence, but for now Sagumi didn’t react to it, he’d be ready to react if she followed through on her threats. Instead, Sagumi followed the girl they referred to as Shisome, closing the distance he missed out on to respond to the girl rather quickly before walking slowly behind her, in step, putting further distance between the pair of them and the other two women. They certainly weren’t moving at any sort of speed that would be difficult to track, but hopefully his other potential opponents chose not to pursue. He didn’t want to have to set the body count on this day to three as opposed to one and he wasn’t even sure he would have been able to kill the blue haired girl. Determination was quite a big deal and he simply didn’t have the motivation to rip her to pieces like he did with the girl before him. She hadn’t tortured him and his friends, she didn’t betray his trust, she didn’t make his life hell, she didn’t twist that little boy in to the revenge seeking creature walking in lock step behind her and while some might see the strength that blossomed out of that as a positive, being on the receiving end of it made it anything but. She crushed him, she crushed Nozomi, and she was going to die for it.
When the object of his hatred starting speaking, Sagumi didn’t show any visible signs of...well...anything. The cavalier, excitable smile that was on his usually animated face was gone and replaced with an expressionless, almost dead mask. The Sumashuu was, for all intents and purposes, listened in dead silence as Lilium told her story and it honestly seemed decently convincing. It even seemed like a goal Sagumi himself could get behind. The man’s head dropped to the ground, as if he was processing what she said, the giant mane of red hair succumbing to gravity and falling over his shoulders, genuinely masking his face from view. That was the problem though, her story made sense, her story was the kind of thing he wanted to hear, and outside of Nozomi, no one knew him better than Lilium, no one knew which buttons to push, no one knew what lies to tell quite like that witch. He was going to find the truth, even if he had to beat it out of her. If what she said was true, she wouldn’t die. If he forced the truth he was expecting out of her, well, he’d finally have his revenge.
“Lilium toys...Lilium destroys...Lilium lies...LILIUM DIES!”
The man’s head snapped back up in to focus, the very visible signs of rage painted on his face as he glared down at the form of a little girl while his spear, Gekijouyari, materialized in his right hand as the accompanying arm whipped forward, his feet pivoting in to the dirt and his waist violently twisting and generating torque, and unleashed the spear upon her at breakneck speeds, fueled by his anger and strength. The spear tip quickly zooming before the girl’s breast, aimed right down her sternum and if her current indication of spiritual strength was any indication, she wouldn’t have the inherent defenses to keep it from completely obliterating her. However, he knew, Lilium lies, what he sensed was probably nothing close to what she was actually capable of and he remained ready to move the second she so much as flinched and constantly monitored himself for any sign of a genjutsu. He was going to kill her, he was going to rip her apart, and no silly illusion was going to keep him from finally having his vengeance. Not today.

To the soul wandering all alone Shisome Saihossoku; Vanguard Leader ; Human; 5-1+ Enter The Adapting Doll Do not be afraid, wandering gypsy The girl that Shisome had beaten before, finally named herself. Shani Broadsword. That name sounded familiar, and perhaps Shisome's small time in the demon world had earned her enough knowledge to realize a connection between one of the vaunted bodyguards; but the list of names were not available, so it was only by rumour. With this settled in her mind, and the Iramasha busy with the other, the girl kept in touch with her various forces, checking in on them. She had perhaps a more fine tuned sensing capability then most, due to her very power's nature, and gave in small breaths. She felt insecure in some fashion. The male's emotions.. what had caused such? Was there pain like she imagined in them? Or was that the pain of someone else near by? In any case, the childish Iramasha turned towards Shisome and talked to her more. Claiming pleasures for meeting, and a large amount of information that Shisome absorbed in a more quiet mental state. It seemed that the Himegami's words reached through easily to the Iramasha, and perhaps it was Shisome's calm logic, or patience of dealing with such attitudes due to Moonie. Speaking of, she could feel his energy, calling out to her, as if trying to reach her. Of course he would; she was the other half, and so was he. Although Cirno seemed confused about Shisome's lack of defenses, it was probably because she knew that the Iramasha would intervene, having felt the energy of the other. What Cirno possibly did not expect, is that the moment the Iramasha sync was sent, and the suggestion barely left her mouth, as Shisome's presence would be felt in the network. In fact, it was surprising it had not been felt before, but for now she could manage the communication aspect; her Iramasha abilities were still unstable for some parts, but the communications was simple. 'You need not my permission for I am already one of your kind.' she said within the network, to Cirno directly, allowing her to continue in the physical plane without interruptions to her sequence. This allowed Shisome to hear further communications, and such, keeping tabs on the Iramasha forces herself. As more words were exchanged, Shisome's focus began to come exclusively on the male. He was familiar. The presence, the feeling. It felt much like someone she had once knew; but she also understood it was not herself, but rather the prescence that tried to eat at her mind. 'Now calm Cirno. He may be irritating to you, but I would suggest to focus on your task to helping the city; if he does wish to fight me, then I will protect the area myself, and contain the issues. I do not think he is seeking to destroy the city, but rather the death of me, or someone similar.' she said within the Iramasha bond, trying to soothe Cirno before she leaped into action. For if it was just a personal target, Shisome would carry that weight on her shoulders, and nothing more. Moving along with her actions, she did note the control of Shani's energies; and noted that she had those capabilities already herself, but the very sensing of it was hard for even the gifted kind. As she had moved away, she noted that the male spoke to the girl behind her, before following Shisome; leaving the two others to deal with their things as needed, as Shisome and Sagumi would then be in the right area. He listened to her; which was something she could feel. But his.. dark emotions did not subside. So she had not been surprised when he would end up attacking her; what had actually caught Shisome off-guard, were the words. The name that rang from his lips chilled her blood. Around her body, like a natural defense, gravity turned into a dense wall, crushing the spear's offense. A protective shield, using a crushing force, that would destroy what came within it; and with a burst of wind, she sent it flying away. But the damage was done; the word, cursed one, had rung into Shisome's ears. Her face showed an emotion; slack jawed surprise, her red eyes wide. And then, suddenly as the surprise, something twisted; an expression on the generally expressionless doll's face. Something akin to the very feelings that the male held inside of him currently; the twisted mirror of his emotions reflected on her face, the very emotion looking nearly out of place.. but nothing rang false. ''How.'' her voice said, quiet. But then her eyes, furious, stared at him. ''HOW DO YOU KNOW OF THAT FUCKING BITCH.'' she yelled. ''ARE YOU ONE OF HER FUCKING TOYS? ARE YOU ANOTHER ONE OF HER TORTURES?'' the emotion in that voice was unnatural. Like a dam was inside of her, shattering. With a ripple, the area shone; a barried had been made, that nobody could come in or out of. She had sealed the two away from the very touch of anyone else, using something that few would understand; a barrier of pure Order. But something else was inside of her, squirming, clawing; she could not hold onto the teneous control she had already. ''WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU, TO CALL ME, TO INDENTIFY BY THAT FUCKING PSYCOTIC WHORE'S NAME? HOW DARE YOU EVEN INSINUATE THAT I AM RESSEMBLING OF HER? SHE KILLED MY ENTIRE FAMILY AND YET YOU STROLL IN HERE, PRETENDING I AM HER? FOR WHAT? A SELFISH NEED FOR SELF GRATIFYING REVENGE? FUCKING CHILD.'' the girl yelled again, her voice already getting hoarse. She didn't even attack the male, even as her hands and arms were shaking. The Iramasha sync on her side communicated none of her feelings, however, there was one that would feel this emotion, like a burning sun. For this was the first time that Shisome lost her temper, so near Moonie. The ripples of the very anger was moving a tempest on the inside of her. ''JUST BECAUSE SHE WAS BORN MY TWIN SISTER DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN PUT ME IN HER LOT.'' she yelled again, finding nothing more to say. But then something, inside, jerked. The girl let out a gasp, feeling a huge amount of pain, as something dug inside of her. Growing limp for a few moments, she then let out a soft, gentle giggle; one all too familiar to the male before her. ''For one to even open the door inside It had to be quite a surprise But worry not, for despite the danger Thou art nothing but a stranger. Or should it be spoken as a nostalgic face Something that cannot be named by time or place Speak, unwilling accomplice to this plan And the hand might just be given.'' The way of speech, the sudden roll of her body. Lilium had found her entry into Shisome's mind; and Sagumi, even with crummy sensing abilities, would be able to tell the difference right away. The energies were different as night and day; and what's more, is that Shisome's energy was relatively weak seeming, but shifting, whilst Lilium's was perhaps back amongst when they first met, as Genins. It was immature, and someone that had lived as long as Sagumi, he would note that. But Lilium had access to all of Shisome's powers, and would not be able to be touched; that was the perk to this situation. The possessing twin gave her smile, that mix of a smirk and gentle touch. Maddening. Lilium knew not this male, but there was.. something. She knew him, as her mind shivered within the girl's body. She would not have long to possess the other, as Shisome's emotions were already trying to be reigned in.. but it would be enough to send this man into another hell. The hell of knowing that he brought the one he so obviously hated back with his own hands, the guilt of knowing he put an innocent in the way of her game. Perhaps he knew that, as her smile continued, waiting for the boy's reaction, even as her energy would react with the slightest of changes from the male.. ready to show him that she was not a weak being, not within this body. These were certainly a turn of interesting events for the Icy Iramasha to watch transpire. Taking a glance at the first girls he addressed, Cirno started to giggle once again because of the fact she was acting so vicious over a few soft-spoken words. Honestly, in The Angel's mindset, it was nothing more than poking fun at her reactions; but she seems to have perceived it in the form of an offensive insult and thus let off an ugly form of energy that made Cirno raise an eyebrow. It felt like the vicinity around the enraged human was in the process of being disintegrated; which gave off quite the venomous and....deathly feeling that made Cirno snap her fingers internally within her mind to realize what it was. Having a flashback to the likes of her training and understanding with Izayoi when it came to the various types of energy in the world, The Angel recalled her having a sample of Death's Energy taken from a Royal Devil Iramashsa to understand it's frequency, the potent effects that it had and to be greatly on guard whenever such a power would present itself.
Snapping back into reality, while the volume of Shani's Death Energy wasn't deep in it's volume compared to The Angel, it was enough to make Cirno note this force to be cautious with.
"I think I am Cirno Iramasha and I'm giving you helpful advice to not get hurt here! Your reactions just screamed "SOMEBODY GET ME OUT OF HERE" and I reacted as such. So it's okay Reaper Lady, I think I understand what is going on here. That creepy Death Energy business is actually causing that strain on you and your mood is acting all wonky and stuff. I'd say you need to calm down before that blood becomes to angry and ends up eating you whole like a monster! I've heard terrible things about the whole reaper force, and I feel kind of worried for you now that you have such a thing living in your body, Ms.Reaper Lady."
Having uttered those words, it's clear that Cirno seemed rather genuine in nature and probably a bit ill-spoken; but there were truth in the phrases which she used. Namely being the fact she seemed to actually have an idea of what the in the heck just happened in the area and a general idea of the energy being used. Which showed that despite her appearances, Cirno did indeed seem rather knowledgeable for someone of her caliber.
And on the subject of energy in general, it was up to Cirno to ensure that this person was at least well protected from this force. Placing her hands outwards, The Angel of The Ice summoned the depth of force that lay deep within her body in order to begin releasing a soothing, serene and overall holy energy. "I'm not sure if you are going to accept this or, Reaper Lady, but I offer you a gift to help ya through this hard time. Miss Shiro thinks it will do you good when it comes to your emotions." Tapping her skull a bit, Cirno started referring to the former Angel of Ice, Shiro Iramasha, as she was presently giving her some guidance on what to do to ease the tension within Shani's body through her knowledge. Although, to everyone else, The Icy Fairy may seem a bit bonkers as only those whom could share a telepathic link with Cirno may be able to hear the words of the long deceased Iramasha.
In any case, once she was done summoning the energy, The Angel would let out a soft sigh before sending it a direct linear path towards Shani's location. If she were to allow herself to become hit by this energy? It would attempt to ease the tension in her body, mend the damaged psyche within her mind and attempt to balance out the energies within the girl so she could have a chance at being a normal functioning human being. The intent of this was not to disallow the Death Energy within Shani, but rather, make it better controlled, less strainful on the psyche of Shani and hopefully allow her to see that Cirno was indeed an ally, and not someone to do battle against for the time being.
Rubbing the back of her head a bit, Cirno gave off a natural grin before saying this much: "I mean, I hope that helps ya out Reaper Lady, but we've got bigger things to worry about now. I say we work together in securing this city so we can make sure it's people are happy and protected."
Moving her head towards the direction of Sagumi and Shisome, The Angel seemed rather bothered by the wording of Sagumi's speech. He kept referring to Shisome as this "Lilium" person, when the only person standing before them was The Vanguard's supposed leader. It didn't make much sense to her as she watched them both begin to go in their separate direction. However, something was nagging within the minds of both Cirno and Shiro alike as they started to detect something deeper within The Doll Girl as they shared this connection with her and their skills of energy perception were able to dig deeper as a result.
'Aye, aye. I'm as calm as I can be at the moment, Doll Lady. If you say you can handle him, I'll just take your word on it since you are strong. I just don't want to see you get hurt or die, so I'll be there to bail you out if any sort of ill should befall you since that's what friends and allies do for each other. I'll hold things down in the city and see if any new threats come in. He doesn't seem interested in destroying the city, so I'll just have the people who came with me accelerate this process with this other network. I think it's called the....Yuumeshi Network? Yuuteshi Network...? Yuu--deshi Network? I 'dunno, it was something to that effect and Koichi is telling me to sync our barrier with it to accelerate its growth and we can see who enters the place. It's gonna be really fun!'
Guiding her hands into the air, she'd soon use the shield which was appearing all throughout Australia in order to add the external energy of the Yuudeshi Network in order to finalize the filtration barrier throughout Wollongong to at least seal off the city against anymore targets seeking to invade it. For most souls that enter from this point would be able to become easily tracked by the network and they could allow or disallow access to it. It may not be the greatest defense, but even if a target were to come in, Cirno assumed she could handle it as she felt something off in the distance heading it's way; albeit faint at this point.
However, Cirno's attention snapped back towards the vicinity where Sagumi and Shisome had transported to. A baffled expression came across the Iramasha's face as she sensed a major shift in energies taking place within The Doll Girl. No longer was she that gentle person The Angel once sensed, but something within her had been corrupted and whatever stood before her felt like an entirely different person. Even if Cirno had a difficult time explaining her perceptions of energies to other beings, she understood entirely the process taking place. It was akin to how both she and Shiro were connected: they were synced together by the mind, but shared the same body. Through this piece of knowledge that was relevant in her own life, even for a child like her, Cirno was able to piece together the pieces of the puzzle to at least deduce a similar effect was taking place and Sagumi had a terrible case of mistaken identity.
"Hey Mister Murder Man, I think this is the person you are now looking for!" Hollered Cirno to the two combatants, despite the distance they were separated by; "I'm not sure how to explain this, but I'll try to do it as best as I can! That former Doll Lady known as Shisome you were fighting before seems to have disappeared, as there is something within her brain that is bringing out The Crazy Lady you are trying to fight. Lilium, or Crazy Lady, basically shares the same link to her mind and you really do have the wrong person because Shisome is being possessed by some kind of wicked energy that's compelling her to do these terrible things you accuse her of doing!"
Seeing through Lilium's possession as it were clear as day, Cirno seemed to be a bit unnerved by the fact that this may not be the same person she was beginning to try and befriend; but she would try her best anyway to reason with her. After all, it's what allies do. They try to help each other, and at the moment, it seemed like Shisome needed all the help she could muster. Not bother with tampering with the barrier, Cirno simply let her words ring into Shisome and Lilium's minds through the telepathic connection which they both shared from earlier.
Activating her holy aura once again, Cirno started to have an illuminous light shine throughout her body as she took a deep breath and nothing but chilled air escaped her list as she synthesized heavily within her angelic origins. Everyone on the battlefield at this point could detect something strange about this energy; as it gave off a strong sense of holy aura about it that seemed to remove the sense of decay which Shani presented with her Death Energy, ease the minds of those left in the city from the Iramasha and Vanguard forces and ultimately awaken her Angel heritage.
"Let's see if we can help her, Shiro. She needs our help to fight against that monster and I can't just sit around doing nothing. I'm gonna need your help with this and I'm hoping our holy power will be enough!" Having stated that, she started to have the color in her eyes fade away until they were consumed by bright burst of white light as she focused heavily on the range in which she could detect Shisome's mind.
"Hey, Miss Shisome, I'm not sure if you can hear me through all that is clouded in your mind, but it's me, Cirno again! I can feel that you are in a lot of pain, anger and all sorts of crazy emotions I can't even begin to really understand through this channel of ours. If you are willing to fight it, I want to help you purge this demon from within you. You seem like such a kind-hearted person, and it feels pretty awful to see such a pretty person consumed by something so ugly. So I will do my best as an Angel from above to help pull you from this ugliness; even if I have to rip it out of you." Saying this both telepathically and out loud, Cirno wanted to ensure those words were echoed to the likes of Shisome no matter what as the aura that radiated off The Angel of the Ice became more overbearing on the area as it attempted to cleanse all impurities from the land.
Very soon, as Cirno's force began to spread throughout the vicinity did soldiers whom were once injured began to see their wounds heal back to normal, the ground which was destroyed by constant fights throughout the city was seen being restored and reverted to it's original place and all throughout the entirety of Wollongong did the mentality of the people seem to shift. Where there was once despair, there was now hope. Where there was once doubt, there was nothing but assurance left. And where there was death, there was now life. Through the awakening of The Ice Angel's holy force going to work, she was going to use this to bring Shisome back from the depth of possession and drag her back to the light of dawn.
Holding out her arms in a V pattern, Cirno locked on to the frequency which Lilium's soul was operating on and attempted to target her directly. Injecting this overwhelming force of sheer, masterful willpower and purification from her angelic attributes into Shisome's mind; The Angel of the Ice was attempting to purge this sinister nature that brewed within Shisome's mind and cleanse her body of it to force it outwards for the world to see in order to prove her claims were true to Sagumi. If she were able to pull this off, it would be as if she were killing two birds with one stone. For through the intents of her actions, Cirno desired to expose the faker for the world to see and save Shisome from the fate of having to do battle with the likes of Sagumi at the same time and bringing the killer to justice.
"I'm not sure what you are, I'm not sure who you are and I'm not sure what your intentions are: but as an Angel of the Iramasha Clan, I'm not going to allow you to hurt this girl anymore. Lilium, Crazy Lady or whatever you like to be called: I'm gunning for you and I'm going to purge from her heart with my willpower and the might of my desire to help my new friend! She seems like a honest, strong and wonderful person who doesn't deserve to be put in the same nasty category as you!"
With those words echoed throughout the field, Cirno slammed into the depth of Shisome's mind further to make this a battle of sheer will and in this fight...The Angel of the Ice had the strength of determination to keep this fight up for as long as it would take to free Shisome from the prison of this freak. That was going to be Cirno's vow and objective from this point onward as they marched down the path of war with this monster.
