Training on the job

Steven had been sent off to the world of the living on a very routine assignment. He was supposed to patrol around karakura town and make sure that no hollow showed up to threaten the peace. It was a very simple and boring assignment. With the barrier in place and so many other shinigami in the area there were not very many hollows there. Normally he just spent these assignments wondering around the outskirts of the city because it was far more lively then the middle of the city. He never got so see much action even out here. He wanted something more challenging than this boring post. He wanted to get stronger and he knew that being in a safe place wouldn't do anything at all.

This wasn't his first time being in the outskirts of town and absolutely nothing happening so he decided that he was gonna look for something to do until he had to go back. He had plenty of time. He wanted someone strong enough to push him. He wanted someone to train with. He wondered the streets sensing out reiatsau looking for someone that sparked his interest. There was someone there that seemed pretty strong. He wondered where this man was that he was feeling. He could tell that the person was close by but he couldn't pinpoint the location. He hoped that when he did find this man that he wouldn't be upset with a stranger showing up demanding a training fight. He couldn't be entirely sure what to expect from someone he never met before though.
