Reasons For Upgrading: Updating his Segunda Etapa resulted in these abilities. Explanation for why they're so powerful is he has a Grandmaster in Sonido and Hierro and Master in Cero, as well as being 0-2++ and only having these abilities in Segunda. What Are You Upgrading:
Shibōshasū Sonido: This is, without a doubt, the ultimate form of Nagato's Sonido movement technique. Perhaps what proves the capabilities of this movement skill is the fact that it is only available to Nagato while in his Segunda Etapa form, the final and most powerful form known to the entire Arrancar species. While essentially all Sonido work as supplementary abilities as they primarily allow the users to move much more quickly than usually, this special form of the ability centers around more destructive capabilities. In his Segunda Etapa form, Nagato is able to move faster than ever, and as such hits his peak level of speed. This ability takes advantage of that fact. When Nagato uses Sonido in his Segunds form, he moves so quickly a special field around him forms that distorts everything within his personal space. This distortion field doesn't just distort, it destroys essentially anything and everything it touches. Now, the Sonido itself functions by utilizing this destructive field while he moves around with Sonido, which allows him to barrel straight through objects, leaving a large hole in his wake. This means he can essentially Sonido through physical and energy-based objects without having to become intangible, and without taking damage. Even some of the strongest of barriers cannot hold him back, and would end up with large holes in them. The amount of force this technique has behind it is in the kilotons of TNT explosives, meaning it is as or more powerful than extremely powerful nuclear fission bombs. It should be noted that if Nagato had a normal form of Sonido in his Segunda, he wouldn't be moving as fast. This means the Shibōshasū Sonido is comparatively faster than other Sonido abilities used by equal level Arrancar.
Muteki Hierro: Like Nagato's Shibōshasū Sonido, this is the ultimate form of one of his racial techniques, more specifically his Steel Skin. Also like his special Sonido ability, Nagato's Hierro only takes this form while he is in his Segunda Etapa. Called the Muteki Hierro, or Invincible Steel Skin, this truly is the absolute peak of Hierro any Arrancar has ever achieved since the advent of the species. The basic structure of this protective armor involves the fusion of the four-layered Hierro of each Path from his Ressureccion, and then a combination of all six Hierros. This essentially results in armor six times as effective as the original version, except it doesn't end there. The hierro itself will settle into his skin in Segunda, meaning instead of his Hierro and specially-hardened skin he gets in this form working as separate layers of defense, they instead combine their overall durability. However, this isn't even counting the additional energy Nagato releases in his Segunda. Basically, when he releases into his Segunda, an absolute massive burst of energy is shot out of his body after the Paths combine, however the energy shortly condenses after spreading, and then combines with his Hierro, boosting it even further. All of these processes combined result in an armor of reitsu so dense and durable that it even has the capability of negating damage against Nagato in any form, while completely negating space/time-based abilities as the pressure and density of the Hierro is simply too high to be altered by these types of abilities. It also means nearly everyone is susceptible to injuring themselves by trying to attack him physically, resulting in severe damage to whatever made contact with Nagato.
Tendōdama Cero: The Tendōdama Cero has a simple function, which is the destruction of whatever it hits (like all Cero), but its energy makeup as well as specific creation parameters are a bit unusual compared to other energy attacks. To create this Cero, Nagato must combine negative white energy and positive black energy, forming a perfect fifty/fifty combination. After doing so, the energy is then spun around and formed into a sphere roughly a foot in diameter so that the two types of energy may thoroughly be mixed, as well as to condense said energy as much as possible. This perfect energy combination results in a relatively small black and white sphere that surpasses absolutely all forms of Cero Nagato has access to, and due to the tremendous amount of energy required to form it, it is limited to Nagato's Segunda Etapa release state. After the sphere of energy is formed, Nagato can either keep it in that form until making it impact with an enemy, in which case it would explode into a huge inferno of energy capable of taking out even the strongest of opponents, or he can immediately turn it into a gigantic blast of energy and aim it at a target. The destructive capabilities of this Cero are tremendous, even greater than that of a Cero Oscuras used by Nagato while in his Segunda Etapa form. Due to the specific makeup of this energy attack, it cannot be absorbed by any means whatsoever. Also, the reason why it is confined to his Segunda Etapa is due to the sheer amount of energy it requires to form.
