Item Description: Despite its name, Tsuta Urushi utilizes highly corrosive acid instead of poison. Before we get into that, however, let's first discuss its basic physical attributes. Due to being forged by Stefan Soan, this weapon is as highly durable and sharp as the rest of his swords. However, unlike a few others, the metal used to create this weapon, durasteel, is a little bit different than the standard materials he uses. The primary difference is weight. Durasteel is many times heavier than most other metals, but makes up for this by being much more durable and powerful. This essentially means this sword is much heavier than it would be had it not been made by this custom metal, but also happens to be more durable and powerful. For many people, this would mean they'd tire out quickly from using it, but Stefan can usually handle it relatively easily. Like all of Stefan's special weapons, Tsuta Urushi was forged with the help of his spiritual energy and pressure to make the weapon stronger, as well as to give it a special ability.
As previously stated, this weapon utilizes highly corrosive acid in order to cause extra damage to opponents. It succeeds in doing this because the blade has the unique ability to cause whatever it touches to slowly begin corroding. Even if the blade doesn't break skin, or just barely makes contact with an object, the area the blade touched will begin to corrode, and slowly spread across the victim's/object's entire surface. This corrosive effect burns on contact, and can make a victim feel like they are on fire on the location being damaged. Because it's acid and not poison, those who are immune to poison can still be effected by this special ability. Even Stefan can be effected by this should the blade touch him at some point. It should also be noted that if clothes are touched, if the victim doesn't eliminate said clothing then it will spread to their actual body eventually. Also, while the corrosion starts out slow, as it spreads it speeds up, so if it has already corroded a large portion of an object then it will corrode away more of the object rather quickly. This acid does have a weakness, however: water. Water will stop and solidify the acid as it corrodes, turning it into a rock-hard material that doesn't do anything. However, if fire were to touch the acid (before being hit by water), an explosion will occur removing all acid, but also damaging everything it touches (more acid=larger explosion). The acid could also potentially be removed using a large enough burst of spiritual energy/pressure.

Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense. - Buddha
