  • Reasons For Upgrading: HE completed various tests presented by his Zanpakutō spirit. Also, because of this, and his previous battle with Tessa, he needed to use his mind to overcome all of the tasks at hand. Such as deducing what Zetsumei was up to, and what Tessa's Zanpakutō did.     What Are You Upgrading: Unlocking Bankai, and increasing Mental Deduction from Advanced to master. (This isn't as important, but I do think it makes sense.)
