Magic Levels

Through Time Humans have come to evolve through an evolution known as Soul Evolution. This is something that has increased the power of the human race making them closer to Demons in abilities. This has allowed for humans to become able to use magic just as though a demon would be able to use magic. Though unlike a demon that connects to Za koa for their magical arts, humans connect to their Anima stone for them to be able to use magic. This is something that has a big effect on how a human may come to use their magic. Since without a good connection a human will not be able to channel and use their magic properly. Meaning that all their magic skill is wasted, but even if a human has a high connection to their anima stone they must also have good abilities in casting spells. As Humans must have a balance in being able to Cast high level powered spells.

Ranks: Now spells are split into 6 ranks, with rank one being the lowest level of spells and rank 6 being the highest level of spells that most humans will be able to reach. Now the ran a human can cast up to will depend on their skill and tier levels. As someone with a high tier level cannot cast high level spells if they do not have the right skills in order to do so. As well as the fact that someone with a high skill level can’t cast very high level spells if they do not have the right energy and power level to do. This means that a human who wants to become very good in the use of soul magic must learn to balance their skills and powers so that they can utilize their magic to its fullest.

Level 1: Level one is the level of spells that almost any human can cast. These spells tend to be very basic in effect usually only having one effect to them and not doing much damage. A level one spell will tend to be a basic spell like a simple spell to breath under water for a short amount of time or even shoot out a very small fireball (size of a baseball). Though level one spells tend to be spells with a short range. As the average level one spell can only has a range of about 5 meters. Now for someone to cast a level 1 spell they will at least need to be a 4 tier character with beginner in their Anima stone and Soul sorcery skill. Now level skills do tend to not be very worth wild when it comes to combat they can be very useful for small support things or other miscellaneous things that need to be done. Now out of all spells Level one spells are the spells that take the least amount of energy. As even a low tier would be able to cast a good amount of level one spells before they tired themselves out.

Level 2: Level two spells are another level of spells that most low level humans are able to cast without much trouble. These spells tend to be more combat based then level one spells being able to do a decent amount of damage to low level tier characters. These spells would be things like fireballs of a bigger size (Size of a softball). Now these will be able to do more damage than their previse level of spells. Now the Average level two spell can be casted in a range of about 10 meters. Now these spells still might not be worth wild when it comes to damage only being able to really take out low tier characters with these spells when it comes to combat. (4 to low 3 tier). Now In order for one to be able to cast a level 2 spell they must be at least a high 4 tier or be a 3 tier with at least adept in soul sorcery or Anime stone strength. Though if one were to have a higher level in Anime stone strength it would make casting these spells a lot easier as one does not need to focus much on channeling energy to use the spell. Level 2 spells like level 1 spells still do not cost much energy but a low tier will only be able to cast a handful of level 2 spells before they are drained of energy.

Level 3: Level three spells is where magic starts to get more advance for humans. Since at this level is where most decent combat level spells will be at. With these spells a human could easily wipe out a small group of low level hollows while barley breaking a sweat. These spells would be things like summoning low tier creatures to come and help out in a fight as well as minor healing spells. Now with these spells a person could make even larger fireballs (The size of say a Basketball). Now with this level of spells tend to have a range of about 15 meters. Giving the caster a good range to utilize their magic. Though Level three spells are harder to cast for most people meaning that a person will need to be at least a high 3 tier to cast these level of spells. And as far as skills one would need at least one of their skills at advanced or both at adept. Wither it be Anime stone strength or soul Sorcery could matter less. Though those who have a higher Anime Stone Strength will have an easier time casting their spells if their Anime Stone strength is stronger as this will allow for less energy to be used.

Spell Template:

Though this is not complete i had an idea for 6 basic levels and 2 special levels. A level 0 for those with Grandmaster in in Soul Sorcery and Anime stone strength and a level 7 for those who have Grandmaster in one of the 2 and or master in both. Though im sure this itself will not be used i am sure that if the staff likes the idea of it they could revise it and make it their own. The point of it is to make spells easier to judge in power and help people know the limits of what a spell can do at each rank.

Grammar Note: Green text means there is a mistake or something was missing. If only on one letter, it is upper/lower case issue; if on one word, it is not meant to be there; if one the entire sentence, it is either fragmented, run-on or spliced; if on two words only, there is supposed to be a punctuation there, but it was missing; if on ends of the word, the suffix (like -s, -ed, -ity and -ness) is incorrect. If something is blue with green, it is an overlapped issue. Red means an incorrect word or the word has applied a redundant context.

Meaning that all their magic skill is wasted, but even if a human has a high connection to their anima stone they must also have good abilities in casting spells. As Humans must have a balance in being able to Cast high level powered spells.

Since grammatically, that is already answered itself. The focus will be more on background information, not the author's writing skills. Purposefully, the idea of having sub-ranks from a pair of ranked skills was more similarly structured as Kidō or "Demon Way." However, the sources are different as it derives from an outdated pair of features (based from site-view) called the Anima Sorcery and Anima Stone Strength. It was originally made to provide diversity for those who does not want to use Soul Evolution or Chi while still wanting to use powers without becoming a Quincy. The idea from personal perspective was that the Anima Stone was a special genre of power types called, "Alchemical Spirituality," where it uses an item as a source of mystic/magical/spiritual abilities, thus a "farce" form of magic. From the text above, it implies that Soul Evolution and Anima are paired to give birth to the use of magic for Humanity. It will not be already wasted when there is hardly much connection, but it will be or would be. A must means a requirement, thus it is restricted to those who can spare extra training or extra skill point distribution to attain the necessary prerequisite. A balance for a requirement for a higher level of magic use, reasonable, but since the previous sentence explains the problem, how about you could explain more into why it has these restricitons in the first place when the reader (like myself,) would see it to be a piece of cake and roll with it with a d20 ready for a natural 20. As for content; understandable, but need to work more into the reasoning for the restrictions and requirements.

Tier does not matter until someone starts power-playing. Note the red over the last part was because it is redundant to say vice-versas when the idea of "balance" is already introduced with a solid example. Back to the tier/skill balance; the problem is the fact it is like Kidō; the higher leveled abilities can be used by the lower ranked users, but it is not clearly defined that it is actually inhibited or restricted because magic suddenly knows if you are a tier 3 or a tier 1, or if you are a beginner or a master. Magic is a wild form of energy channeled through all living things, including the user, and certainly not the nine judges of the Supreme Court of the United States of America. You can say that magic can be harder to control with more power, but becomes weaker with more control, but not "you can't do this or that because of your tier/skill." Eliminate that and try a more creative approach to give players more freedom with it without going through the roof.

Considering that there are noticeable differences in between the ranks, the problem is in how they would progress or classify as such. From the description, first level is mainly spells that are mild or student-reduced; the second level is spells that have matured; and then the third level is spells that branch out. To clarify, it would need more in-character insights onto why they progress that way instead of lets say that the most basic healing spell can be attained by any fourth tier Shinigami or certain Human individual at any tier below than suggested. What does separate "ranked magic" from powers and abilities that are already laid down before? Though it is incomplete work, it is excusable for oversights and mistakes, but for the finished product, it is recommended that you run it through peer for such mistakes or oversights, including holes in the lore. You do not have to write a book or a textbook about them, but try to make the reasons for its existence fathomable enough to consider it a valuable addition to the Humanity's rich lore.

Name: (What is the name of your spell?)
Type: (Is it defensive, offensive, healing, summoning or other?)
Incantation: (What you say to activate spell)
Effects: (What are the effects of your spell?)
Rank: (What spell rank is this spell?)
Notes: (Any Extra Notes to add?)

Very good work on the template! Brief, to the point, and includes important aspects of what it is representing. Though, it would be better if Rank: is above Incantation: and that will be golden.

Though this is not complete i had an idea for 6 basic levels and 2 special levels. "I took roleplaying and storytelling with a live-and-let-live attitude, thus the idea of a character doing something out-of-character would add more to the character than letting it stagnate into an archetype or a character. Here: A rapid change to a character must be met with an in-the-moment conflict. Ta-da! A rule to live by!"

«ARCHIVING THIS STUFF HERE»

Welp, UHCM certainly dealt with this issue. So I'll be moving it into archives for the time being as I doubt we are gonna do this.
