Re: An Old Blade

With a nod to his captain as he best tries to take in all of what Masamune has to share with Primo about the demon arts from his perspective. Hoping that he could find anything along the way that would give him a stepping stone to grasping it even if for a mere moment in order to do it well, it wasn’t anything brand new watching as Primo would try and attempt to do anything with all his skills he possessed in zanjutsu to hopefully watch that prowess transition from his usage with a sword into the idea of understanding the basics for Kidō. A slight smile broke over his face as he watched as Masamune displayed his degree of this art form with such ease. It was because of this that Primo held more of a motivation to wish to try this again since his time years back in the academy.
“Alright captain let me see if I get this, and hopefully nothing backfires on me sending the spell to shoot me back instead of something forward.”
Raising his left palm out in front him and reminiscing on what his captain just did, Primo takes a deep breath in and gradually excels to hopefully center himself before calling forth the needed requirements to expel the the Kidō. “Hadō 1, Sho!!” it only took but a moment for everything to flow together but just as Primo was just about to smile something happened and his concentration broke if only for a second. That is all it took and the spell somehow backfired and ended up shooting him back with enough force to hit the ground only three to four feet away from both his previous destination in which he was standing next to his captain. “ guahh…again shit,” With a bit of a struggle, primo leans back up onto his butt from realizing that its happened again and he kamikaze himself yet again. On the surface from the starting of conjuring the willpower to perform the spell to adjusting his stance and focus, Primo followed it to the letter. But then something happend as if his concentration wasn't honed to a degree that would allow him to follow through with it to the end.
And just like that, the spell backfired onto Primo sending him a few feet back when it was meant to simply push against the air flow out in front. Primo still had yet to give in but he felt a bit of the pain from a easy shallow spell that still packed enough of a force to knock the wind out of him if but for a second or two.

Masamune observed with a hushed focus, he was watching for something. He observed the first time, pondering about it. He noticed a bit more firmly the second and it was evident in the third. Exactly what was going on here, he dusted himself off and drank from his tea. Rubbing his brow softly, Masamune couldn't help but shake his head. "The key to Kidō and making it bend to your will, is focus my friend. Think of it like a sword, aiming for that last minute slash, but not wildly. Focus on an opening, for example. Visualize a target coming at you, but leaving himself open. Notice that with a single Kidō you can blast him away, not even needing to draw your sword.." Masamune was a fairly good teacher, though he saw the reasoning behind some swordsman drawing it. He believed that they could be used, in this way he waited now for the male to try again. "Patience and devotion are the blocks which build on Kidō, bakudo or the way of binding. Is an art form of easier nature. But I believe Hadō suits you more as a warrior."
Masamune got up, leaving behind his Zanpakutō, nothing to worry about honestly though. This wasn't something he cared much about, he walked to where Primo fell and helped him to his feat. "At the last minute, your focus wavers and then the Kidō does too, the moment your focus becomes still like water within a cup, shape your will and focus like that. Be as water, still and yet strong. Because once you are like water, things become more possible. Think of Kidō like a complex swordsmanship, something that requires not only able body, but able mind." Masamune was a skilled user of Kidō yes, but he believed firmly other people were better then him out there. But he was a good teacher at these low things as well, he never showed his full strength, by should he resort to such a thing, this was merely a lesson. And Primo was still learning the beginning of the smell, Masamune smiled softly now as he let a calm bit of air out.
"And finally, try again and never give in..Because soon as you will becomes but water, Kidō is a door that's opened." Masamune backed away, giving Primo his space, he used a shunpo appearing back to his position now to watch the male try once more.

Nodding once again, Primo looks to his captain and listens and relaxes his composure just as before. But only this time he soothes his breathing and thoughts down to nothing as he wanted to be like water. Relax and flow like water, for water is the only thing that can adapt and change with any situation it’s thrown into. With enough of those words playing back over and over again, “be as water, still and yet strong,” The words of captain Masamune replay as a reminder for him to go only when you’re ready.
With greater focus Primo’s body moves as if controlled by the words he’s paying so much attention to, his focus more concerned on the phrase than the actuality of performing the Kidō spell. Moments after the 3rd seat officer’s body moves as it gradually positions the weight of what is needed to keep a firm plantation of his center of gravity between his thighs and waist and with his posture very relaxed and not tense; Primo raises forth his left hand as if it were being moved by a string from nowhere.
As the vibrations of his tongue tickle the back of his mouth and soon after the words role right out of Primo’s mouth; "Sho" and with a force being summoned as if called by the command needed, Primo was capable of performing for the first time ever the basic properties of the idea behind using a Kidō spell. His eyes open much later as he realized that it was a success. The feeling of doing this difficult task right felt so much of a relief on his part since his lack of keeping in control with the demon arts has never been his strong moments. “How was that captain?”

He clapped his hands offering a soft smile to the male, his first spell was Sho. Perhaps it would have some meaning down the road, a spell he would be able to use in situations however he chose. "We have a starting point, I want you to practice that Kidō every day, before we advance any further. I want casting this Kidō to feel as natural as taking a breath. Get used to the feeling of success, because that's what you will be." Masamune was pleased, the male got it on a couple tries in. Certainly the road to progress had just opened up for him, Kidō was so like the flow of water. It wasn't able to be given a true form, the demonic arts came in so many shapes and sizes. That to try and guess them was to be something amazing to begin with, his eyes closed as he sipped from his tea. He gestured for his violin to be brought to him, he picked the instrument up. Beginning to play, the tune known simply as the Devil's Trim. It was a complex yet such a beautiful peace.
It wasn't something one could describe with words if they tried, the people of the Fifth Division seemed generally happy about the sound that came out from his Violin. It wasn't like any kind of regular music. Even most brutes enjoyed the sound Masamune could produce, it wasn't something that everyone else could. He finished playing and handed the instrument off to his worker, he smiled lightly at Primo before speaking. "You will be going along with me on a Mission soon, best way to test those skills of my new third seat. And perhaps show you what I can really do on a more serious level." Masamune said finally as he glanced at the clouds, the Captain's mind often thinking about such things frequently when his next fight would come.

“Hai” with a slight nod and gesture of a response back, Primo understands and agrees with his captain that in order for him to progress he’ll have to learn the first initial spell to a perfection so that its apart of him instead of a threatening thing that seems to take so much out of him. After doing the sho one more time in the same exact manner as before it can be noted that Primo seems to be getting the hang of it like before except the willpower to summon and transfer out is still a bit rocky but the progressive nature to conjure it and release it appears a bit more steady than the first few times. Moments after realizing that the training on this one task has taken a bit out of him, Primo finds his seating nearby in which he was at and grabs another cup of the oolong tea. Slowly but surely the gulp of the tea consumes him as it takes away that thirst which he felt was needed upon trying the Sho just a few more times with a partial sweat build up around his forehead and palms.
The music his captain was able to produce with that violin brought a sort of taste of easy and calmness for his state of mind. It was in those moments that Primo was able to find the solace to relax and calm his nerves as they felt a bit too high strung and wired from the sheer focus in which it took the perform a basic Kidō spell of exhausting so much of himself on it.
Finally after much of a well deserved rest Primo looks to his captain with a revered smile and response without so much as opening his mouth prior like before. His nod and smile present that he feels gratify to realize that he was able to be shown another way to summon the willpower and focus to learn the basics to grasping the needed information to produce a Kidō spell in harmony.
