Personality:

Esprit can be mostly described with the word "Determined". Whether it's on her work, on developing her techniques, she won't back down if she has a task on her mind.

On the work side of things, this applies mostly to her experiments and medicine. If she's right in the middle of something, you'd best not try and get her attention. You may be lucky enough to get ignored, or you may get an experimental toxin thrown at your head. Making her lose her train of thought is an offense punishable by death.. Or worse..

On the personal side of things, if Esprit wants something, or someone to DO something, she will stop at nothing to make sure she gets it. Period.

She is an enigmatic person surrounded my many mysteries. Whether it's the nature of her healing abilities, the development of her quincy techniques, or how she's stayed alive for over a hundred years. And her answers regarding the mysteries about her are incoherent replies, wrapped in enigmas and shrouded in riddles.

She is generally a fairly pleasant person and is devoted to serving her students, and her patients, but she does not suffer fools gladly. Because of her incredibly high intelligence, she can come across as conceited, impatient and condescending at times to those not sharp enough to follow her explanations immediately. However, she also seems to lack general common sense, most likely due to her not living with NORMAL humans or quincies.

The Doctor lacks in compassion for the sick, respect for human dignity, and any sort of verifiable formal training in medicine. However, he more than makes up for with a bottomless supply of giant needles and a trembling enthusiasm for plunging them into exposed flesh. He was raised in Stuttgart, Germany during an era when the Hippocratic oath had been downgraded to an optional Hippocratic suggestion. The Doctor considers healing a generally unintended side effect of satisfying his own morbid curiosity.
