Chaos In California [Closed]
Fri Jul 13, 2012 11:22 pm
Kimiko Utagawa was currently in the wonderful city of Hollywood in the state of California. She thought it would be a nice place to see, but when everything began happening, that thought changed very quickly. She had been sent here by her Captain after driving him absolutely insane with mountains of paperwork, filing, cleaning, and new ways of organization within the Squad Eight barracks. It was supposed to be an easy mission, one that she assumed was to get her out of the office and away from him so he could continue his lazy habits. This thought immediately irritated her, but as usual she decided to follow orders and reported to the location she was given. At first, everything was calm and quiet, besides the obvious bustling of the city beneath. Then, out of no where, a rather powerful Hollow made it's appearance.
Kimiko ran to the Hollow's location with her Zanpakutō already drawn, but the moment she arrived, it seemed to have completely disappeared. She stopped on top of a roof and looked around suspiciously. “Where the hell did you go?” she mumbled under her breath and she turned to look behind her. It was gone. She couldn't sense it either. Suddenly, it appeared right behind her. Her eyes widened, not having enough time to even look behind her. A large pain shot through her side as something slammed into her waist. She immediately felt a few bones crack, if not break. Her body hit the roof, rolling until she rolled off the edge, just barely catching herself with her left hand. The Hollow appeared above her, raising it's large foot to stomp down onto her hand, but she let go. Falling a few feet, she created a temporary footing for herself and leaped into the air, aiming her blade towards the mask.
“Haha! Too slow!” The Hollow said as a large tail that seemed to made of bone swung around and slammed into her side, once again sending her flying, but this time she flew through an entire building and landed a block away in the muck of some alley. “God... damn.. it...” she struggled to her feet. “That... bastard sent me here... to die.” It would be obvious to most that she was probably overreacting, but her mind went that way. Her thoughts immediately pushed to her Captain trying to get rid of her because he wanted to continue being lazy and ignoring his job. As she got to her feet, she stepped forward and fell right back down to one knee. Her left leg was broken. “GOD DAMN IT!” She screamed at the top of her lungs and the Hollow appeared in front of her. It reminded her of a bug, a scorpion to be exact. It was rather large and could climb across the walls easily. It's tail came up and over it's body and pointed towards her. She could see some sort of liquid on it, dripping down, and she quickly assumed it was poison. “Shit...”

Well to say he told them so was a bit dramatic, so Jaeden only went far enough to say he'd made a mistake here. His tired nature due to a war he was studying for had made a dire mistake, one he'd not forgiven himself for. Jaeden had left the office after Kimiko, though not fast enough it seemed. She'd arrived in Cali without much delay, damn. Jaeden had been given a notice that a hollow who only should be engaged by Captain class reapers had appeared. Jaeden wasn't going to hold back and well he would defend this woman tooth and nail. His spiritual pressure was hidden, neither the hollow nor the woman would notice. him but his words would be the first indication.
"Surge Seiryu." Lighting filled the skies and thunder rolled around the clouds as a powerful reiatsu appeared, Jaeden used a shunpo to arrive in front of the woman. Raising his sword he pointed, speaking firmly as he said the words again. "Surge." The Zanpakutō grew, extending a blade of lighting at the hollow. Though this wasn't all the Captain had done, keeping Kimkio behind him and safe he watched the hollow with a serious expression painted on his features.

Kimiko was expecting to be attacked immediately, but something prevented the Hollow from continuing. As Captain Crow suddenly appeared with his Zanpakutō released, the Hollow let out a loud howl, allowing his spiritual pressure to begin to leak out. Kimiko looked up to Captain Crow. She was saved, at least she hoped she was. Grabbing onto her broken leg, she sucked up the pain and forced herself back to her feet. Wincing slightly as she put a bit of pressure on it, she looked up to the back of Captain Crow's head, suddenly beginning to yell at him, "HEY! CAPTAIN JERK!" She stepped forward towards him, losing her balance as pain shot through her leg. Falling forward, she grabbed onto Captain Crow's haori to keep herself on her feet. Using him to keep her balance, she hopped towards his side and looked up to him. Her eyes were slightly narrowed, and she foolishly was currently ignoring the Hollow in front of them.
"You sent me here to die, didn't you!?!" She said to him. It was an obvious overreaction to most people, especially since she accused him of something like that. The fact was, her feelings were slightly hurt for being sent to something like this. "I understand if I was irritating you before because of all the damn cleaning, paperwork, and all of that... But I didn't deserve to die for it!" Suddenly the Hollow let out yet another howl. It stepped forward towards them on it's many legs and shot a light green liquid towards them. The blast of fluid was actually quiet large and moved towards the two of them very fast. Kimiko knew she wouldn't be able to dodge it, so instead she just braced for impact.

The creature hadn't died, impressive sadly it hadn't made Jaeden's list either. Lowering his sword before the creature moved, using a shunpo a bit of speed he'd yet to speak to her. First thing was first, this creature would die. He put an arm around her waist, using a shunpo once again Jaeden vanished putting her in a safe place a bit away from it. Before vanishing again, he'd taken her a mile or two away. His shunpo was rather impressive. Now he was set to drop his restraint. She wasn't in harms way, his eyes slowly opened as he looked around.
The green slime like martial was an interesting hollow. Jaeden's other arm showed a gauntlet that seemed to be charged with lighting. He was getting ready for a final impact, Raising a hand up, his weather manipulation power began to show far more. He'd held back to a small sword expansion move, that allowed him to charge it with static in the air. Lighting began to come down black clouds filled the skies, a couple bolts came towards the hollow, these super charged lighting bolts were a warning. Though it was too late for the hollow.
A couple had struck Jaeden's hand super charging him with electrical energy, his eyes of red glowed as he got ready to launch his next attack. Jaeden used a shunpo and vanished above and behind the creature, pointing his gauntlet out at the creature. A net of lighting shot out and covered the form electrifying the beast. Jaeden extended his blade with lighting one last time for a single stroke upwards, ending this brute once and for all.
Using a shunpo he vanished and arrived at where Kimiko was, his Zanpakutō had returned to a normal katana. His eyes were closed when he got there, having allowed his energy to go till he arrived. Cutting it off, he sighed softly and spoke.
"Sorry, I forgot the notice about a dangerous hollow being here. He'd moved into the area a day after you left or so. I got the paper work on him late, I hurried out here quickly as I could. I am sorry you came to harm Kimkio-chan."

Kimiko blinked a few times as she was picked up and suddenly taken a large distance away from where the Hollow was. She just sat there for a moment or two, trying her best to ignore the pain in her leg. It was already bruising up, the skin becoming darker. It wasn't long before Captain Crow returned. She looked up to him, seeing that his eyes were closed. She stuck out her tongue and wiggled it around at him. She stopped once he apologized, but she only narrowed her eyes, pushing herself to her feet. She limped over to him, grabbing onto his haori to keep her balance. "Now.. y-you listen here!!" she said with a mischievous smile on her face, "I know you sent me here because you wanted to be lazy and leave aaallll of your paperwork unattended to! Giving me some half assed apology is NOT something I am going to accept. If you can't even open your eyes and look at me, then I doubt that you actually care about the fact that you almost got me killed!" Letting go of his haori, she turned away and limped off.
It was obvious that she was in a lot of pain. She kept limping, and as she forced herself to continue, the pain only got worse, but she kept going. She didn't want to seem weak. She wanted to prove that she could take care of herself. As she kept walking, she didn't notice a hole that was covered by water. She stepped into it, and something in her leg snapped. Kimiko's eyes widened and she clenched her teeth together, beginning to fall forward to the ground as she screamed into a closed mouth. "GOD DAMN IT! It hurts... Oh my god it hurts so bad..."

Kimkio he sighed and shook his head, not saying anything. The girl new little about him, he grabbed her and picked her up deciding this was a treat. She was wounded and well he didn't plan to let her fall as it was, her leg was badly damaged and didn't need anymore damages he smiled softly as he spoke now. Calmly it wasn't like he'd not been yelled at before by people and Kimiko had a right to be upset, though the eye thing was a habit of his when he felt like it. Some people thought he was blind, though for her he made an exception and opened them.
"The family I hail from this is a normal habit, though if you rather for you I will keep them open. My eyes have been something of a burden for me, they are what some call the devils eyes. Now I wouldn't ever put someone through something I went through myself, I would never in a thousand years let or send someone out to die..I've been there..and it's not something that you forget or erase Kimkio. "
He was being serious now, Jaeden's tone had changed slightly he'd held the girl ina princess style carry while moving from flash step to flash step. Taking her to a safe house, he'd set up in the area. Jaeden had alot of ties in the living world and well this was no exception.

Kimiko was startled when she was suddenly picked up and held in a princess like fashion. She turned her head to face him, seeing that he decided to open his eyes. "Whoa..." Kimiko's eyes widened a blinked a few times at the unique color. For a moment, she was unable to tear her gaze from them and stared. Once he began speaking, she snapped out of her thoughts and looked away. She had no idea he had once been sent out to die. It was obvious that she knew nothing about him, but it wasn't like he was quick to tell her anything either. Besides all of the pestering she had done for him to sign papers and keep the barracks clean, the two of them never really talked. She could take the blame for that as well though. It's not like she went and tried to get to know him better, but at the same time she didn't think he would be one to just open up and tell her anything.
"Well... It's not like I knew that..." she said quietly while looking away from him, "You don't talk to me. You don't do anything unless I force you to. It's not like I understand what is going through your mind. I can't build a bond of trust with my Captain if he refuses to act as such. Most of the time, you don't seem interested in well... anything." She turned her head to look back up to him, "So tell me what I am supposed to do to understand what is going on in your mind if all you do is lounge about and lay on the roof?"
Kimiko wasn't even paying attention to where they were going. She knew that he would move into Flash Step every now and then, but she wasn't paying attention to much. She more than likely would have freaked out if she even realized the manner he was holding her. Princess wasn't exactly her style. She would have preferred piggy back or something like that. Princess... No. Luckily her mind was on other things.

Jaeden looked forward thoughtfully, understanding exactly what the female was talking about. He mostly went up there because of somethings that haunted him, even Captains had regrets. Things they wished hadn't happened, Jaeden was no exception. Jaeden was simple and he decided to tell her just that as they landed and set her down softly in a couch, grabbing some medical supplies, he was really a multi-talented man.
"Just ask me whats on my mind, I am honest and I'll tell you that's the way I've always been Kimkio. Sometimes I do wish to be alone and ponder things, but Captains rarely gain such a thing. So we must think of the people that work under us and be there. I may not be the most favored among the Gotei 13s Captains. I came in from the Rukongai District, in a long bloody conflict with my family. If you wish I can tell you my history and more about me, than you can tell me about you while I fix your leg."
Jaeden said softly as he got some human items, bandages and such plus some things to clean cuts if the skin had broken. He seemed quite ready at this base for anything that may of gone wrong.

Kimiko sighed in relief as she was set down on the couch. She set an arm over her stomach and laid her head back comfortably. Turning her head to face Captain Crow as he spoke, she thought for a moment. He said that she could ask him anything. She wasn't really listening and had completely mistaken what he had actually said. His words were slightly jumbled up in her own mind and she took it differently. She waited until he came back over to help fix her leg and smiled. Deciding to play a bit of a joke, she sat up a bit, reached out to touch the side of his face and made him face her. "I can ask you anything... huh?" she said in a flirtatious tone and leaned in closer, until their faces were only an inch apart, "Then tell me Captain... What do you think of me...?" She ran her index finger along his jaw, waiting for his answer. It was actually sort of hard for her to not really laugh at what she was doing, but she really did want to see his reaction. And at the same time, she was ignoring the pain in her leg. This position wasn't exactly the best for someone not wanting to be in pain, but she was determined. It was obvious that this wasn't exactly what he meant when he said that she could ask him 'anything'.

Jaeden's skin slowly turned red, not from the question. The way she'd acted, well forward women were a weakness of his and Jaeden wasn't really a man trying to be anything other than himself. But at this moment his thoughts were jumbled, even Captains couldn't keep a composure in this situation. Not to mention Jaeden's eyes made him unpopular with women normally so this was a new thing to him..
"Well..I...ah..well..I think your one of the most amazing people I've met, you seem strong and always ready to face the next thing ahead of you...and..ah..." He had been planning to speak of her beauty, but the words didn't come Jaeden was not good at this sort of thing. He'd begun to feel comfortable about going back and letting the hollow kill the shy man. He wasn't like this normally, but women didn't do this to him normally either.
"You are also very...beau..."Jae turned almost completely the same color as his eyes.
