Kin Mori (rewrite in Progress)

Name: Kin Mori

Gender: Female

Age: Is actually 86; appears to be 29.

Personality: Kin is a real loner. She doesn't like company, and will go out of her way to avoid anyone she doesn't like, which is pretty much everyone. When she is forced to be in a crowd, she stays near the edges and doesn't talk to people. On the occasions where she has to talk- for exapmle, when she reports to her superiors- she is courteous and formal.

In combat or while patrolling or hunting Hollow, Kin is silent and determined. Many people will talk during a battle, particularly against powerful opponents, but not her. She believes that the mission is the most important thing, and will complete her objective, no matter what. If she had to choose between completing a mission or saving her comrades' lives, she would choose the mission. She is, as many people have described her, completely heartless.

Appearance:

Kin is five and a half feet tall (170 cm). She wears the standard Shinigami garb. Her Zanpakutou hangs across the back of her hips. Her Reiatsu is purple. She doesn't wear a headband, unlike in the picture.

Zanpakutô Spirit: Kin's Zanpakutou, Yochikatto Akuma, takes the form of an old man. He is of a similar height to Kin, and is bald, although he has a long white beard. He wears a version of the Shinigami garb, but it is totally white. He has a walking stick made of polished wood.

His personality is usually very kind. However, he does not agree with Kin's philosophy of success in her assignments being more important than saving lives. Whenever they talk, he tries to convince her to consider other people's feelings and also to show emotion. However, he always fails.

Despite their disagreements, Yochikatto Akuma (or Akuma for short) frequently communicates with Kin and helps her with training.He hopes that, if she becomes stronger, she might find something to protect and care for.

Sealed Zanpakutô : Kin's Zanpakutou, when sealed, takes the form of a Wakizashi. The blade is about 30cm long, and its sheath hangs across the back of her hips. The hilt is wrapped in a purple cloth, and the guard is in the shape of a rectangle with the corners cut off.

Shikai Description: The Wakizashi grows longer and transforms into a wooden pole. Near the top, a long, curved blade extends out to the side. The blade is black on the toy and silver on the bottom. The newly-formed scythe also has a large spike extending from the back of it, opposite the main blade.

Shikai Abilities: Yochikatto Akuma's ability doesn't really have a name. It can manipulate the air around it into a number of attacks. For example, Kin could point the weapon's shaft at an enemy and fire a bullet of wind, or swing the scythe to create an invisible flying blade.

History/Background: Kin has no memories of her time on earth. When she arrived in Soul Society, she was only five, which largely explains why.

When she arrived in Soul Society, she was taken in by a young lady who raised a number of young children she had found. Kin remained there for ten years, at which point she decided she wanted to become a Shinigami. She appeared to be about ten at this time, and struggled to gain entry because she was viewed as being too young. After this refusal, she travelled around Rukongai and learned a number of different swordsmanship styles from different people. Five years later, she returned to the gates of Seireitei and Requested entry. She still only appeared about twelve, and the guards were uneasy about letting her through. Eventually they relented and she gained entry to the Shinigami Academy.

Kin remained in the Academy for three years before joining the Thirteenth Division. She served there for a number of years and achieved her Shikai. Since then, she has worked in Seireitei and in the Human World, hunting Hollow.

Roleplay Sample: Kin dived to the side, narrowly avoiding the Hollow's surprise attack. She leapt into the air, rebounding off the side of a building and drawing her Zanpakutou. Shooting forwards, she delivered a slashing attack to the Hollow, landed on the ground, and jumped away again.

The Hollow roared in fury and charged, its huge fist coming down in an attempt to flatten Kin. She leapt backwards and intoned, "Hissori sono Fuujin, Yochikatto Akuma!" Her Wakizashi transformed, taking the form of a large scythe. She jumped into the air and slashed at the Hollow's masked face, despite being several metres from it. The Hollow gave off a vibe of confusion, before it was bisected by the near-invisible blade of wind Kin's attack had launched.
