Personality: Kasumi would be called, by most people, a kind, sweetheared girl. She cares much about the value of life, which was her reason to become a shinigami. She would gladly take a blow for a team mate, and, like her father, isn't angered very easily. She's bisexual, and can tend to be very flirtatious, more so toward females than males.

Appearance:

Zanpakutô Spirit: Kasumi's zanpakuto spirit takes the form of twion girls that look about 10 years old. Each girl represents a different aspect of her personality. Despite the two spirits being polar opposites, they get along perfectly. One of the girls has blonde hair that goes halfway down her back. She wears a sky bluw sundress that goes down to her knees. She's always a happy and always has a smile on her face.

Sealed Zanpakutô : Kasumi's unreleased zanpakuto takes the form of an old, worn Katana. Despite the decrepit look of the blade, it is just as sturdy as any zanpakuto. She wears her zanpakuto around her back, like Ichigo and Hitsugaya. She keeps a blue cloth tied to the sheathe that wraps around her body to support it. The cloth had a black, square emblem made of silver with the kanji for her mother's name in black. The emblem goes along the ribbon, and was given to her by her father. When she grabs the hilt of his zanpakuto while it's sheathed, the sheathe and the ribbon vaporize. They can be summoned to her left hand when she needs to re-seal her blade.

Shikai Description: In shikai, the hilt of her zanpakuto becomes ocean blue. The guard of her zanpakuto is in the shape of a dolphin, as if it just jumped out of the ocean. The blade of her zanpakuto, still a katana blade, shines silver, and looks like a freshly crafted blade. The blue cloth she used to tie the sheathe to her black now comes out of the butt of the hilt. She can use the cloth in a manner similar to how Hollow Ichigo used the cloth of Zangetsu.

Bankai Description: In bankai, Kasumi's zanpakuto keeps the same appearance. However, her outfit changes into a sky blue sundress that does down halfway her thighs, with black, skin tight shorts under that go down to just above her knee's. She also has bluw, skin tight boots that go halfway up her calves. Having just learned how to use her bankai, her mastery over it is very low.


Bankai Abilities:

History/Background: Kasumi Masuno-Ryu was born 45 years before Aizen's betrayal of the soul society to Roiben and Rayne Masuno-Ryu. Growing up, she was very close to both of her parents, and recieved a lot of attention from both of them. She shared a special bond with her mother, however, due to her father being away for training. She was too young to understand the danger that faced the world, and that her father was trying to help stop it, so her mother never gave her details, only telling her, 'daddy is working to save us all,' and was always confused by this staement. However, she loved her dad for it and was always happy when he spent time with her.

When she was 30 years old, the human equvelant of a 4-5 year old, father came home with tears in his eyes, a sad look on his face, and some very bad news. Her mother had been killed by an arrancar that day. Her and her father both mourned for sevearal weeks after that, bringing the two much closer than they had been before. From then on for the next 15 years, Roiben spent less time training and more time with his daughter. When he did train, she was watched by Urahara, Yoruichi, and Tessai, whichever two wern't helping her father train at the time.

After Aizen's betrayal, the two moved to the soul society, were her father took a post as the 5th division captain. Wanting to help her father protect the earth, and also wanting to avenge her mother, Kasumi joined the shinigami academy. Due to her young age, she was placed in the regular class. They didn't want to work her too hard. Much like her father, she was very quick, but was better with her zanpakuto than kidou like her mother had been. Instead of using a zanpakuto of her own, Roiben had given Kasumi her mother's old zanpakuto to learn with. Due to her special bond with her mother, she connected well with the zanpakuto. Despite her young age, due to her growth, in her second year before graduation, she was moved up to the advanced class.

While she was in the academy, instead of living in the dorms, she lived with her father. Her growth had been quick becuase he had also been helping to teach her at home. Instead of training her in his own specialties, we watched her train and helped her develop in the areas she specialized in. When she graduated, despite her zanpakuto not belonging to her, she had connected well with it, and had even learned to release her shikai.

After her graudation, she was placed as a non seated officer in the fifth division, upon her father's request. A year after entering the ranks of the gotei 13, she had been promoted to a low seaed position. Soon after this time, the captains and vice captains of the gotei 13 had waged their war with Aizen in hueco mundo and the fake karakura town. Kasumi constantly worried about her father, knowing Aizen's power and fearing to lose her father again. Because of her low reiatsu and the danger of the enemy, she wasnt permitted to enter the battlefield, even as a spectator. When her father returned from the battlefield with the other survivors, she was overjoyed.

For the next 50 years her and her father stayed in the soul society, and she rose to 5th seat in power. She helped him in his duties, and talked with members of the division. During her and her father's time in the 5th division, they promoted division unity and strongly stressed comradoy. However, the soul society had continued to place restraint on the shinigami. Kasumi and her father left the soul society. They wandered as rouges, until her father decided to hollowfy himself.

Her father had began to undergo the hollowfication proccess, knowing the power of the vizard. Once his chain of fate was severed, he told her to get as far away as possible, in case he lost control. She returned to the soul society, and continued her training. She always wondered about her father, and worried.

She went on a mission to earth, but didn't see her father, or sense his reiatsu. She encountered a powerful arrancar, and was keeping up with it. However, she sensed her father's reiatsu return to earth, and he quickly dispatched the hollow. To this day, he refuses to show her his hollow powers.
