Personality:

From the outside looking in, Xaver would seem, to any given passer-by, like an uneventful type of person. To look at Xaver would be to look at someone who's life has no cares. It'd be like looking at a man content with life. Someone with not a worry nor care. He's a laid-back man with a neutral behavior. He won't kill you outright, but don't you dare get in his way. His attitude is one of a calm man. He usually greets allies and enemies alike with a simple "Yo", and he disapproves of the senseless violence that usually is encouraged by anyone for the sake of fighting and fighting alone.

If one would take the time and dig a little deeper, they'd see Xaver's true nature. His heart is truly that of a knight. Chivalrous and respectful, his true strength comes not from his reiatsu, nor his speed, but his pride. He holds within him pride for his homeland of Ireland, (which he has somehow maintained memory of despite going through the soul-purification as a human) pride in his abilities, and pride in himself and his accomplishments should he ever die. He holds these values very highly, as he once chasticed the nameless hero Archer because his swords "held no pride." If one were to wonder how he attained such pride, one would have to look upon his background. When one sees how he died valiantly in battle, fighting until the bitter end and showing his pride in himself even until the end, tying himself to a rock to ensure he died on his feet.

Digging deeper than that shows a certain level of shame. The fact that he failed his people and himself with his death causes his morals to be a bit.. shaky at times in his new life. His actions represent those of a man who is desperately trying to re-establish his honor and confidence in himself. His decisions can sometimes be rash, and wrong, but he will gladly go down any path that he thinks will allow him to regain his noble air.

Xaver's fighting style represents this pride. He fights relentlessly, his aim true and his speed threatening. The swift type of death his power delivers also represents this pride. His single-opponent abilities and fighting style exactly reflect his belief of how pointless all the massacres and violence that the wars bring about are. If it came down to a choice, Xaver would rather not be summoned into the war. In fact, his one wish is, in fact, to end the fighting.

His motivations are a bit broken... His broken honor and damaged will lead to him not really having any goals to try to attain besides ending the fighting in the world. His actions usually reflect a defensive nature as a result of this, and if anyone asks him WHY he's fighting, he may not be able to give a straight answer.

As far as his music tastes go, Xaver likes irish folk rock, or anything with an irish guitar. The only thing he wants out of being summoned is to visit his home country, but it has not happened as of yet. Lancer's favorite food is curry, and his favorite drink is, in fact, Coca-Cola.

Around women, his personality alters a bit. He may seem like he's trying to sound or look cooler or more sophisticated, when in reality it's just his chivalry shining through. Seeing as how in the modern world, chivalry is rare, his intentions may be mistaken. However, dating him is a tricky feat. The loss of his queen during his mortal life has turned him against the feeling of love. If one could get him to open up and show any sort of romantic emotion towards them, they're already well on their way to being "that person". But it's difficult.

He despises the vizard half of himself. Absolutely despises it. Every single bone of his body wishes that he was pure shinigami, or at the very least, just dead. The constant torment and pain he receives from the presence of the hollow spirit within him is overwhelming. It becomes so bad that, to an extent, Xaver desperately wishes to die. He fights as if he has nothing to lose because he really doesn't believe that he does have anything to lose. Death would be no obstacle for him, only the next step. He has grown so weary of his position and his trials that he only wishes to be removed from this world. This may be a part of why he's so hard to get close to, as his dramatic death wish would deter him from trying to allow anyone into his life, for fear of hurting them. Xaver never uses his hollow mask, or any form above it, in battle, unless ABSOLUTELY necessary. He has vowed to never pull out the power which he dreads so much. And he knows the penalty for doing so would be, not only his pride, but his position as zero division leader, as well.

Some time ago, during Xaver's childhood, he received a blessing .. and subsequently, a curse, from his father, the irish god of light. This "blessing" has given Xaver unbelievable cosmic power, but at a cost.. One would think that this might make him arrogant, or be counted as a second spirit, but no. It integrates seamlessly into his nature, and becomes un-noticeable outside of battle.

Abilities Gained:

Endless Endurance: Xaver's divine blessing makes it so his body, his muscles, his heart, and his brain can not wear out or wear down. He can sleep, yes, but he can never tire out from battle, from running, from training, or the like.

Divinity Resistance: Xaver's body, mind, and spirit have become completely immune to any outside divine influence, besides Lugh himself. His body is also immune to the element that most represents divinity, or cleansing: Fire.

Divine Protection: Xaver's body naturally resists physical attacks to a certain degree, his skin takes on the properties of Adamantium, being as durable and as painful to hit. However, to a simple touch or caress, his skin would feel no different than that of an ordinary man.

Starfall: This power is based off a pledge that he made to his father upon receiving Ireland as his birth right. "I solemnly swear, as long as there are stars in the sky, my power will protect this land." Using this oath as grounds for the divine blessing, Xaver's father Lugh gave him a very interesting gift. Utilizing his power as a god of light, Lugh altered Xaver's core, his spirit, and his reiatsu, to where his spiritual pressure, power, strength, and speed, all drastically increase from the presence of stars in the sky. He can harness their power to quadruple any one skill, or double every skill instead. As long as there are stars in the sky, ones that are unobstructed from Xaver's path, this ability will not be dormant. There is no limitation to the use of this, however, there is a way for Xaver to end it.


Cosmic Disarray: The final usage of Starfall. Xaver gathers together all of his spiritual pressure, using a mixture of that, and his divinity, to focus and control the power, light, divinity, and heat, of the very stars themselves. Firing a single bolt of reiatsu into the nearest star. (The sun. The bolt REACHING said sun is the charge time, with the speed it travels at, it takes two posts to use this ability. One post to fire the blast and for it to reach the sun, and another to actually use the power.) Once the blast hits the sun, the divinity links it to every other star in the galaxy via a beam of intensified light. The brightness of this phenomena is visible from anywhere on earth, even during the day. Once all the stars are linked, they all re-direct the focus of the intensified beam to a location about 50,000 miles over earth's surface, where Xaver would be standing. The light gathers there as a large, spinning ball, almost like a new star, before swirling and cascading in a funnel in space, the tip pointing and aiming directly at Xaver. With this, Xaver raises his arm up, chanting the oath he had made to his father so long ago. When he does this, all of the power and light directs through the funnel, all conducting and absorbing into his raised arm, before the funnel itself travels downward and absorbs into his arm as well. Afterward, Xaver punches towards the opponent, a blast as big as two skyscrapers, and as wide as an ocean firing towards the opponent. This blast carries the strength of roughly ten Cero Oscuras', and has the speed of a Cero. However, using this ability drains all remaining endurance from Xaver. No matter what state he's in, his power seals, and he falls into an unconcious state. If the enemy can get up and past the height fast enough, or somehow negate/deflect the ability, then Divine Blessing shuts off for the remainder of the fight, and that leaves Xaver at a loss; Easy pickings for the kill, should the enemy be looking for slaughter. Along with his, his right arm will be burnt nearly to a crisp, and require a week and a half (real time) of healing before he can fight properly again. The risk of this ability makes it one of Xaver's true last resorts


Drawbacks:

Along with the obvious pains and harms from the abilities themselves, Xaver has to follow a set of curses, or Geis, in exchange for the blessing.

1. Xaver may never eat dog meat.
2. Xaver must eat any food offered to him by a woman.

The consequence for breaking ONE of these geis is that his Divine Blessing, and all powers of it, are disabled for a total of 48 hours. However, if he breaks both at the same time, his divine blessing is disabled permanently.. and he will enter an unstable "alter" state wherein he will be aggressive and extremely prone to attack, with no trace of his former self.

Zanpukto

Xaver's Zanpakutō is an oddity among shinigami.

A rare case. Due to the divine blessing bestowed upon him, Xaver's spiritual balance was upset, causing his Zanpakutō Spirit to merge entirely with his soul. Effectively, he became his Zanpakutō spirit. His shikai, bankai, and such have now become entirely a part of him, as have all abilities based off of them. What this means, basically, is that he is a permanent bankai-state, reiatsu-wise, without the massive reiatsu drain, as it has become natural to him. He still has to release his bankai, and it still adds to his overall reiatsu; however, his BASE reiatsu has been raised to a bankai level simply from this. His inner world is accessible, but his Inner Hollow is the only thing that lives there now. Another effect of this is that his bankai can be sustained for far longer than most, as it isn't as taxing to release it with it being a closer part of his soul.

The enhanced reiatsu capacity and years he's spent training, along with the runes adorning his body which enhance his affinity for magical energy, have allowed him to become a master of Kidō. He can cast up to Hadō 90 without incantation, no small feat for one bred as a mongrel.

Zanpakutō Name: Gáe Bolg

Release Phrase: Xaver's Zanpakutō doesn't have a release phrase. It DID, but after his Zanpakutō's spirit fused with his own, he is now in a constant-shikai state.

Shikai Abilities:

In shikai, what appears to be a simple lance is a potent and lethal combat tool. It is unbreakable, having a reiatsu-based weaving in the interior of the lance that holds it together, no matter the strength of the attack impacting it. Along with this, it has a reiatsu-based materialization process that allows it to never leave Xaver's hand. At will, he can de-materialize the lance from wherever it may be, re-materializing it in his hand. The process takes roughly a millisecond and can be used no matter where the spear is. (This is due to the Zanpakutō being literally a PART of his spirit. He basically IS the Zanpakutō) As for why this form has few real abilities, it is simply because Xaver is an absolute master in the use of the lance. He can use it for movement, combat, travel, juggling, terrain-altering, etc. His combat capability ranks above most bankai-fighters from a simple shikai state just because of this. The reiatsu of the lance cannot be manipulated by anyone but Xaver in any form due to a protective bi-weave in its spiritual makeup. This prevents anyone with reiatsu-tampering abilities to dissipate, alter, corrupt, or otherwise fuck with them.

Xaver's strength in shikai is impressive. Using his reiatsu and the reiatsu added to his own by the fusing of his Zanpakutō spirit, Xaver can put holes in steel with a flick of his finger. On top of this, his speed and agility both rival those of the stealth force, giving him an edge in physical combat. His shunpo gets him at roughly Mach 2.

Gáe Bolg; Seven-Headed Spear of Mortal Pain: The true shikai power of Xaver's lance. The lance, when thrown with its name spoken, infuses and multiplies its damage output sevenfold while on its collision course. Therefore, when it impacts the enemy, it hits as if its hitting with the force of seven different shikai of the same strength.

Bankai Abilities:

In bankai, Xaver wields two lances instead of the one in shikai. He is just as proficient, if not more, in combat with both than he is in combat with just the one. His strength is amplified ten fold, and then another ten fold. In Bankai, Xaver could lift a building out of the ground and hold it aloft. His speed is also increased. Any motion or movement he makes, even moving his arm, creates a blur of vibrating particles. His shunpo is amplified to carrying him around Mach 4 as well.

In Xaver's right hand is his bankai-form lance. In his left, is his shikai, though amplified, as now, instead of seven, it multiplies it's damage out ninefold.

Gáe Bolg: Barbed Spear that Pierces with Death (刺し穿つ死棘の槍(ゲイ・ボルグ), also translated as Spear of Impaling Barbed Death:( An attack created by Xaver to suit his own style. This single person attack is a fatal blow that almost always pierces the opponent's heart. Once Gáe Bolg's name has been called, the cursed spear reverses the nature of causality to make it so the cause of the "lance being thrust" comes from the effect of the "opponent's heart being pierced" by it. Once the heart has been successfully pierced, either by a normal thrust or its ability, it is nearly impossible to heal the wound with normal means unless Gáe Bolg is destroyed or Xaver is killed. The attack delivers damage equal to the opponent's own health limit plus the damage from the spear itself, so the wound will be fatal no matter the opponent once they are struck. The lance can move at impossible angles, signified by turning into a red beam of light, that almost always manages to reach its target. From pointing directly at the ground, it will immediately point upwards towards the heart without any movement from Xaver, and if it is thrown, it will change its path around any obstacles or pierce through any wall in order to reach its target. This action looks completely normal to onlookers, as if it it were already piercing the heart, because rather than truly changing its course, it is simply an action meant to prove the fact that the heart was pierced. The only way to effectively defend against the attack is to have good reflexive instincts, an auto-resurrection ability, or to have a shield, such as Rho Aias, which has the capability to defend against the lance by having a higher reiatsu output in order to make it impossible for the lance to have struck in the first place. An Arrancar's high-speed regeneration is slowed down to taking days to heal if the lance strikes.

Gáe Bolg: Soaring Spear that Strikes with Death (突き穿つ死翔の槍(ゲイ・ボルグ), also translated as The Spear of Striking Death Flight:( This technique is the true use of Gáe Bolg. It converts 20% of Xaver's Reiatsu into energy and releasing the accumulated power after the spear is hurled, detonating on impact with enough power to blow away a multitude of enemies. Rather than dispatching a single foe with absolute accuracy by striking their heart, its focus is always hitting the specified area in an attempt to defeat large groups of enemies by causing massive destruction. Xaver prepares to use this ability by backing one hundred meters away from her opponent, taking a crouching position on all fours, and dashing fifty meters before jumping into the air to unleash it.

Inner Hollow Personality: Xaver's inner hollow, known only as "Ebumna'bthnk" (Essence of the Pit) by Xaver, is the polar opposite of Xaver himself. Instead of morals and a strong code of honor, Ebumna holds no regard for any life but his own, and his host's, if only for a vessel. He has no remorse, no mercy, no heart. He cares only about self-preservation. Nothing more, nothing less. He's been after Xaver's body relentlessly ever since being sealed. He doesn't speak up much, but when he does, it's in Xaver's darkest and weakest moments. Those moments when Xaver feels like giving up, like giving in.. those are when Ebumna strikes,

Inner Hollow Powers: The powers of Xaver's inner hollow have been robbed from it, integrated completely into Xaver due to the divinity of his soul. However, Xaver can only access them while masked.

Vizard Powers:

• Crushing Reiatsu: While masked, Xaver's reiatsu becomes so massive to where nearby buildings will bend and fall, steel and concrete cracking and snapping under the sheer force of it. Most people 2 tier or under might find themselves unable to breath within 50 yards of him.
  
  
• Enhanced Speed: Xaver gains a massive speed boost when masked, putting him to the point where a sonido or shunpo will move him at Mach 5, (Mach 7 if in Bankai AND masked) and normal movement will be perceived as a blur.
  
  
• Enhanced Strength: Xaver's strength is augmented and increased even further. While masked, Xaver has the potential to rip a Menos in half with his bare hands, or lift a building with his finger. This strength comes from his absurd amounts of reiatsu knitting into his muscles, supporting and enhancing them through Xaver's concentration.
  
  
• Power Augmentation: With the acquisition of the mask through the subjugation of his inner Hollow, Xaver gain access to an additional and separate source of power - aside from the Shinigami powers he already possesses - Hollow powers. The accumulation of both powers greatly augments his powers beyond what a Shinigami and/or Hollow alone would be capable of. Gáe Bolg, in every use, consumes less reiatsu, and his skill with his lances seems to increase as his senses amplify.
  
  
• Reiryoku Enhancement: Xaver has dual spiritual power of both Shinigami and Hollow, which enhances his abilities.
  
  
• Cero/Bala: Xaver can use, fire, and manipulate the energy necessary for Bala and Cero. His bala and cero are a metallic blue in color.
  
  
• Ice Cero: One of the three abilities absorbed from his inner hollow, Xaver can fire a cero from his fingertips or tongue, a lighter blue than his normal cero. This cero, on contact, lowers the temperature of whatever it hits to -20,500 degrees, effectively flash-freezing any environmental objects, and potentially freezing opponents if they're not prepared or don't have defenses.
  
  
• Claws of the Beast: The second of three abilities absorbed from his inner hollow, Xaver's fingernails can elongate and morph, turning into three-inch black claws, as tough as steel, that he can use to rake across opponents or rip apart hazards or weak attacks.
  
  
• Ice Immunity: With his inner hollow's icy nature, Xaver has developed an immunity to all cold environments, attacks, or weapons. Anything meant to freeze, chill, cool, etc. will not effect him. You could terrafreeze the planet and he wouldn't notice.

Overwhelming Strength: Xaver's strength in Resurrección is amplified to a ridiculous extent. A single punch into the earth can send the ground around him with a 12 foot radius down into the ground roughly half a mile. No matter the substance below him. He can jab an index finger through eight feet of re-enforced steel.

Incredible and Overwhelming Speed: In Ress, Xaver has the capability and maximum of Mach 10 while in shunpo or sonido, leaving a huge sonic boom behind him with every step. This sound-blast can disorient opponents depending on how many times he steps. Attack movements, such as punches, kicks, weapon attacks, etc., would at this point become nearly invisible to the naked eye at the speed they move.

Drowning Reiatsu: 1-tiers would find it hard to be around Xaver in this form. His reiatsu is physically crushing, and mentally scarring, to anyone not strong enough to handle the pressure of it.

Augmented Cero: In Ress, Xaver's cero is of an upper type of strength, a blast comparable to that of a nuclear warhead, without the radiation. His bala doesn't really increase in power, but the pure concentrated destruction of his cero becomes terrifying. He launches it from his palms, or his fingertips as necessary.

Enhanced Gáe Bolg: The explosion caused by the second ability of Gáe Bolg's bankai state is now amplified, carrying about the same capacity, comparatively, as Lanza del Relampago. The explosion also burns with roughly the heat of a small star, but only direct contact with the initial explosive energy. Getting hit by the wind that the explosion throws everywhere, or sticking around in the area after the explosion, will not burn. Also, it only burns human/spiritual opponents, the environment around them will not be affected. If the lance is charged with the energy of a cero, however, the fire will take on the properties of the cero, literally burning the environment as well.

Lúin of Celtchar: Much like Ea for the mighty Gilgamesh, Luin can be pulled from seemingly thin air by the Resurrección form of Xaver. This is a spear that, when summoned, will replace one of the forms of Gáe Bolg. Effectively, it takes either the right or left's place, or both, as chosen by Xaver. It will take on the properties of the lance it replaced, and can be used until broken. (Unlike Gáe Bolg, it is not unbreakable. It does have the durability of steel, however.) When thrown, Luin of Celtchar will break into nine lances, all with the properties and rules of whatever lance it replaced. Similarly, if, in combat, Xaver stabs the enemy, the wound will effectively be the result of nine lances stabbed into that area. It will also hurt with the same intensity. (He cannot, however, use this form of the lance in Bolg Marble.)
