"Pain is inevitable.....suffering is optional." ________________________________________________
Run down. Poverty. Corrupt. Disgusting, filthy, nasty. All of these words almost perfectly described the town known as Azamgarh, situated on the easternmost side of the province called Uttar Pradesh, India. Then again, most towns like Azamgarh were like this, as they lacked real running water and sewage systems, meaning they were basically cesspools of filth and vermin like rats that spread diseases like wildfire. Hell, in just a few weeks, half the populace could be infected with some god-awful disease or sickness. Which is exactly what this man was hoping for.
Earlier that day, a man had been preparing for something......big. Apparently today was the day this man's plans could be set into motion, plans that would change he world forever. He was putting an odd liquid serum into injection needles that would be used for something explained later on. The liquid was bright green in color, and was relatively thick for a liquid, almost like blood. He placed them into a container that was had indentations for these syringes to be placed in. There were a total of four injection syringes in the silver case laying by the mans side. After shutting the suitcase and locking it, he stood up and prepared to leave. From that brightly lit room, he walked into a cold and dark hallway, though to him, it was as bright as day. With his eyes, not even the darkest of rooms could prevent him from seeing. For he was the owner of the ultimate eyes, ones that could literally see into ones soul...
After about twenty minutes of walking through the pitch-black hallway, he made it to a large steel door with numerous locks on it. It seemed like he was at a bank vault and was trying to get into it to steal money. Instead, all he did was press his hand onto it and lines and pathways of energy spread from his hand in every direction on the door, not stopping until they reached the edge's of the large door, which was now lit up quite magnificently. It glowed beautifully, in stark contrast to the hallway walls and ceiling that it was attached to. Different parts on the door began to click and spur, with different notches moving and changing their locations, appearing to be giant locks on a door being unlocked by a key, which in this case, was Nagato's hand.
Suddenly everything stopped moving, and the door stopped glowing, cloaking everything, including Nagato, in a pitch-black shadow that extended the length of the hallway. The only thing that could be heard over this deafening silence were the droplets of water dripping from a pipe on the ceiling, which made a small "splash" noise when they hit the ground. After a few more seconds, the door began to open ever so slowly, which shot a ray of golden light into the hallway. The gap between the door and the wall grew larger and larger until the gigantic metallic door was finally done opening, revealing a room lit brightly by a large bulb on the center of the ceiling, bathing the room in a golden hue. about halfway into the room, stairs began to rise from the ground, with an odd machine resting at the top. The machine was "buzzing" and "whiring", along with random lights beeping and flashing on various parts of it. Nagato walked up the stairs, taking his time, for he had no real reason to be in a hurry. He had practically all the time in the world before he had to reach his destination.
Step by step, he slowly made his way up the staircase that lead to the machine, until finally he placed his foot on the platform. He placed his other foot on the platform and turned to face the button pad on the left side of the machine and began pressing buttons. He seemed to be typing in his desired location, and after he was done with such, faced forward, in the direction he came from. Light began to radiate from the machine, as well as a loud buzzing sound emanated from the machine too. It got louder and louder until...!
With a flash, the man was gone, leaving the machine behind to cool down and shut off until it was used again. The man with the suitcase appeared in a small, dirty room that appeared to be some sort of shabby motel room in a third world country. Grunts could be heard from inside a closet near the entrance to the room, to which Nagato began walking towards. He opened the door and revealed 3 young men tied up and bruised, squished up in the small closet. He brought all three men to the ground outside of the closet and opened his suitcase, revealing the syringes from earlier. He injected each man their with a copious amount of the odd, glowing liquid, until he had one last syringe that he kept in the case that he locked back up. After untying the humans, he flicked his hand which opened up a dimensional tear. After one final look at his new experiments, he walked into the tear, only to reappear on top of a nearby building. He stood there, waiting. Waiting for catastrophe, waiting for destruction, waiting for his seemingly innocent experiment to turn into a full-blown plague, ensnaring the entire towns populace in a choke-hold to which they could not escape, no matter how the struggled. For it was time for the disease to spread.....
