Reducing Page Data

I'm honestly not sure it it is feasible, but I think it would be beneficial to reduce the amount of data loading on some pages. My computer- which is very, very fast- is reaching 100% CPU Usage when I try to read topic or open the main page. It has literally shut off multiple times from the strain of loading the site. I'm not sure of the cause, but something on the site is consuming a massive amount of processing power, and I think that needs to be addressed if this isn't an isolated case.

If it IS, is there another way of viewing the site that might reduce the strain on my computer?

Actually i feel where your coming from. The site does make my computer run alittttle bit slower, but im on a mac so i dont know if that affects anything..

Nah, I'm on a Windows and I'm feeling the strain. And I have two Core Duo Processors and a brand new graphics card, so that's challenging to accomplish >.>

Look son, I've been on a single core computer with 2GB's of RAM that ran this site just fine in multiple tabs. I don't think the problem is your computer, you better give me the full specs of your computer. This site runs fine on mine

My Current Set-up

CPU: AMD Athlon 140 2.0GHz Dual-Core Prossceor
RAM: 4GB's of DDR3 RAM (4 sticks)
OS: Windows 7 64 Bit
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS (With three monitors attached)
Hard Drive: 2TB's Of Data

I've also been on here with my netbook....

Netbook

CPU: Intel Atom 1.66Ghz
RAM: 2GB's of DDR2 (1 stick)
OS: Windows 7 32-bit
Graphics: A Motherfucking on-board graphics card with 128MB or some shit. And even then it can support dual screen.
Hard Drive: 156GB of data

I've even gotten on this site with my damn Ipod Touch 1st gen. I don't think the problem is the site unless you are on the xat which can cause Flash issue. You better scan your computer, give me your full specs, run a CCleaner on it and check to make sure it isn't on YOUR end.

And Dual Core's aren't even that impressive anymore. Especially with Quad cores and what not. Right now, I'm also only using 20-30% of my CPU's power and I've got a video going, 25 tabs opened (Eight of which are related to the site), five AIM convo's and I-Tunes going on at the same time and the site runs just fine.

So please, CHECK YOUR COMPUTER!

Ahaha, no. I ran a CCleaner, Defrag, multiple uninstallations, a reinstallationg of Internet Explorer, a shut down of almost every add-on for my browser, a shut down of almost every background program on my computer, and, just for good measure, I added another fan to cool my computer. This was all BEFORE I began to suspect it might be one cause in particular.

So, I started running IE with the Windows Task Manager Open. Then I noticed something peculiar. I can run any combination or number of other sites without so much as a slow down, but the moment I open this site, the CPU Usage jumps to 50%. If it's the homepage, it jumps to 90-100%, depending on if the Xat decides to load (it doesn't always, wierd thing), and stays there until I close the Platinum Hearts window. A second Platinum Hearts window causes my computer to spontaneously shut down. However, I've also noticed some of the pages- notably, the control panel and new post/topic pages, do not cause this issue.
