Age: Around 400 years old - looks like only 15...

Personality: Hinawa is a rather cold girl that doesn't seem to care for her fellow Shinigami much... apart from April Redwood, that is. She is overly protective of her April-sama, and would do absolutely anything for her, literally adoring the whole nature of the 9th Divisions Captain.In fact, that DOES have some impact - even though she appears so cold, she actually is quite the caring soul for people, but has much trouble to get out of her shell. Though it should be noted her 'catchphrase' is... 'Who do you wish killed, April-sama?'
Also, Kagami has some fear of touching people with her bare hands, apart from April, that is. A trait that is still there from her time as a powered human - more can be found in the history about the origin of the fear.
It is also noted that Hinawa rarely, if ever, smiles when she is alone. This only changes around VERY good friends. This is also because she tries to close her heart against people.

Appearance: Hinawa is a small looking girl, and also appears to have a rather small chest. This is mainly through the clothing, she does indeed have a bust, around the size of Rukia. Also, in duty, she of course wears a Shinigami-Kimono.

Zanpakutô Spirit: Hinawas Zanpakuto spirit is called Chi.

Chi is basicially the happy and nice side of Hinawa, like a innocent girl - with more breast size, too. She resembles what Hinawa could've been without powers as a human. She also acts as a voice of reason when her wielder is close to loosing her temper.

Sealed Zanpakutô : A normal Katana with blue cloth wrapped aroun the handle, hold by white thread. The sheath is completely white.

Shikai Description: The katana disappears at first, forming a blue, claw-like iceglove around Hinawas right hand. She can then reform a blade completely out of sharp ice, or do the other things in the Shikai Abilities.

Shikai Abilities: Frozen Blade: Hinawa can materialize a blade made entirely out of ice in her claw, which is sharper and more durable than her non-released Zanpakuto.
Ice Claw: Three hovering ice-blades in the form of slightly bended claws appear besides Hinawas hand, which is then slashed forward in the direction of the enemy. The claws are send flying by that, piercing defenses and freezing whatever they hit with a thick pack of ice.
Frozen Palm Strike: Close range tech, the palm of the cold claw gets thrusted forward. What they hit gets pushed back and frozen, be it a Zanpakuto, person or even a Fireball.
Nova Sphere: A ball of ice is created in Hinawas right hand, which is then thrown. it spins through the air and explodes on will, unleashing ice shrapnells in all directions. She can throw many of these in quick succession.
Cutting Disk: Similliar to Ice Claw, something begins to hover over the raised right iceclaw, a ball that then flattens and becomes a discus-like ice plate that cuts through many things once released. It bounces of walls, ricocheting towards enemies.
Ice-Cold Spears: Instead of three middle length claws, Hinawa creates Three long spears hovering over her head. These have stronger piercing power, but less freezing energy. They are deadly accurate and fast, hard to dodge and to block. They take quite a bit of Reiatsu, though.
Cold Flames: A passive ability that turns all used Kido that have fire element into ice element. Blue Fire Crash Down would then become a huge wave of snow and ice, for example.

Bankai Description: Instead of just one ice-claw, the ice now takes the form of a tierra on her head, and two ice claws, one on each hand. This very compact Bankai has an extreme cooling effect on her own body, without causing herself any kind of harm, however. A light blue glow surrounds the entire body of Hinawa in this form.

Bankai Abilities: In this state, Hinawa can still use all of her Shikai attacks. But also, she gains the ability to manifst a magnitude of close-ranged and ranged weapons out of purest, hard ice, able to withstand all fire.
Also, the ice Reiatsu changes it's property in Bankai. Where it freezes over in Shikai, it can't freeze someone in Bankai anymore, but instead, amplyfies all hits with a cutting cold wind, able to rip apart the connections even between strong Reishi... this effectively means: If her weapon hits the target, the target will bleed. Hierro and the like are useless. The blows can't pierce through weapons or attacks, though, contact with the enemy directly is needed.
Cold Blades: Instead of one, Hinawa manifests two ice katana out of nowhere. These razor sharp blades hurt incredibly much upon hit because of how cold they are.
Ice Staff: A long fighting staff made out of ice. While it has no blades on it, the long reach and strong blunt force make it a dangerous weapon. Can shatter frozen enemies.
Frozen Bowgun: This creates a weapon that looks like a crossbow. Upon pulling the trigger, up to five ice arrows fly at the same time. This weapon loads itself again and again with ice Reiatsu from Hinawa, making it semi-automatic. Hinawas favorite weapon.
Eiszeit: Not a weapon, but an activated skill, this releases a great amount of ice reiatsu in explosion-shape around Hinawa, freezing over everything in the radius, including the ground. Also cools down the air strongly. Takes a large amount of Reishi.

History/Background: Hinawa was born during the time Aizen was still running wild. Not only because of this, but also because of the spiritual awareness her mother had, she was born with special powers... powers that nearly killed her own mother at birth - everything her hands touch would slowly be infused with complete freezing Reiatsu and die slowly. Being abandonned as a kid and given to an Orphanage, Hinawa was most of the time kept locked in, like a wild animal. She escaped around the age of 14, however, having to live on her own.
Knowing nothing but sadness, loneliness and hate, Hinawa soon was more of a demon than a human girl, killing everyone in her way of survival - she was far more dangerous than any known Hollow that ran wild in the human world.. Being convinced that humanity was a cold, evil race, and she was the mirror of these cold hearts. Only after meeting someone, this changed....
Around the age of 15, she finally met someone who simply listened. Ignored all insults, all screams, all attacks. April Redwood, a Shinigami with such a kind heart that it managed to melt Hinawas own frozen one. Being her first friend, Kagami was on her way to finally become a real human... when disaster struck.
Not one Hollow, not two. Those, she could've dealt with. But no, the ice girl was attacked by two Adjuchas-Class Menos who wanted to take her soul. Getting severely injured before Shinigami could arrive, Hinawa died just before April could arrive herself. Refusing to be send to Soul Society by normal means, fearing to loose her memories, a Soul Burial couldn't be performed - but since her soul still had one enormous amount of Reiatsu, she couldn't be left to turn into a Hollow eventually, since that would've been way to dangerous. In the end, she was allowed to pass through the Senkaimon-Gate, retaining all her human memories thanks to that. Entering the Shinigami accademy right away, in order to be with April, she graduated after only 1 1/2 years - excelling at Kido and Zanjutsu thanks to her experience using Reiatsu.
Entering Aprils Squad, she is now her Vice-Captain, personal guard and protector against everything.
