Belle, had certainly gone though a fair bit in the last few days, it was pretty intense, all things considered. He'd surrendered his Zanpakotu to the shinigami and agreed to look and act the part here while he was training. He didn't love the idea of having to work so much, but even her knew he was so weak, half the people outside of the civilians could probably kick his plush little face in. He tugged at the Shihakushō, he'd been given, his hand drifting to the Asauchi that was tucked into his obi. " Still feels empty with out my real zanpakotu, this think is soo light I can't even tell it's there. "

Bell stood outside the residence of Ranma and Erica, He hadn't met the later yet and had to say he was feeling pretty nervous all things considered. Sucking it up he waled up to the door, knocking on it. "Nǐ hǎo!?" It's Belle!" He pushed opened the sliding door, knelling down to slip off his waraji, nearly placing them of to the side, so they weren't in the way. " He found himself wondering if they were even home.

How’d they even get to this point?

Ranma joined the Gotei United like 5 years ago or something – he’d been through a lot. Seen many things. Met Erica. Got together with Erica. Got into trouble with his squad for all sorts of shenanigans. Got trusted by his squad. Befriended people. Annoyed people. Grew stronger. Met Shinigami outside of the Gotei. Got smarter and dumber at the same time.

It’d been a… journey.

So now, there was an Arrancar outside of his house, politely declaring their arrival. Snuggles was hissing madly – it smelled like enemy. Ranma had to insistently stroke Snuggles’ back to calm him down. “No no no… this one’s harmless- no, that sounds fucked up, even I can see that…” Ranma blurted, genuinely mentally challenged by this endeavor. So basically, this Arrancar wanted to work with the Shinigami for one reason or another – something about food or stuff… it was funny, almost straight out of a sitcom, but if he just wanted to help, Ranma couldn’t really bring himself to say no.

Especially since… this dude used a Garganta to get here, but he was unable to actually fuckin’ connect the right places. Gargantas were pretty useful right now, given that the Senkaimon was still awaiting restoration, so if Belle could master the usage of his Garganta, then all the merrier. Besides, if his story held true, this guy became an Arrancar like 3 days ago!

“Erica… I know him,” Ranma informed his girlfriend with a darkened shade over his sorrowful face, “I… met this guy a few days ago. Says he wanna be a Shinigami and all, and the other guys would appreciate his help, but…” He was basically tasked with babysitting, and now he was dragging Erica into it too. He felt awful.

"H-He'll find his own place soon enough, I promise you! He won't be here for too long, that wouldn't be right, I mean, your mother's already got her hands full too! I just gotta look after him until things settle down…"

“It’ll be fine, Ranma, just relax a little.” The pink haired Shinigami replied, a cheerful smile on her face as she went to meet the mystery figure that her boyfriend had been talking about. It did sound rather strange that he’d decided to bring him to her door but the healer was nothing if not cheerful and she had to admit that turning the boy away would be rather heartless. “I’m sure that Mum will be just fine with it and let’s be honest, we could do with an extra pair of hands around here.”

It seemed the fellow had already made his way into the house but rather than make a fuss, Erica would simply smile at the figure and head towards him. In truth, he looked rather sweet in the opinion of the healer and he certainly didn’t look as though he was going to be any trouble. Looks could be deceiving, of course but she was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. “Hey there! I’m Erica, Ranma’s girlfriend, come in and make yourself at home.”

Belle just stood there for a moment then bow to Erica. She was till stronger than he was, he could tell right away, not by much but still. " H-hello! I'm Shinigami Substitute, in training Belle.. I don't have a last name, s-sorry. I'm happy to meet you, Please don't stab me. " He stepped forward, bowed again, then started to look around the place. his oblong shaped eyes then fell on Erica one more as he smiled. " Thank you for letting me stay here, it's very kind of the two of you. " He stared at the cat that really didn't want anything to do with him, from what he could tell, which made him feel a little bad, he'd always thought they were cute. W-where will i be staying, my own room or outside? I Don't own much so if it's alright I could just sleep in one of the closets too, as long as it's comfortable in there."

Well, at least… for now, the sheepy guy seemed to have calmed down after Ranma’s… attempt at… stabbing him back then. Honestly, Ranma still felt awful about all of that – he genuinely thought the guy was in kahoots with the group of fucktarts who invaded and pretty much destroyed the Seireitei before.

But this guy wasn’t just low on the battery – even with a sheathed dagger, he didn’t once try to hurt Ranma in return, even if for self-defense. Even though he could regenerate wounds – the cut wound on his back had recovered before Ranma could land a second strike – this guy wasn’t really an experienced fighter at all… he’d really just been attacking a kid. He felt terrible, and that guilt was partly why he took on the responsibility.

Oh, Erica was fuckin’ amazing. He wanted to drown her in smooches on the spot, but he composed himself and walked forward. “We won’t stab you…” he reassured with… sweat pearls falling off his face, which he tried his hardest to suppress, “Sorry about earlier, I maaaaaaaaaay have jumped the gun a bit too soon…”

“S-So sorry about that…”

…

This was gonna be awkward if he stayed like this. “Uhm, we got ya a room, no worries! Big house and all,” he informed the fluffy Arrancar with wavy hands, “So, uhm… yeah, until further notice from Komamura, you can stay here. Or at least until you’ve learned to control your Garganta stuff – can’t have you pop up somewhere unsafe on accident. And since you’re a bit out of the loop… uh… got a lot to talk about.”

The two world wars, and the Gotei’s evolution and dissolution, and somehow, this Arrancar had missed most – if not all of the action. Aww, my brain…

An eyebrow was cocked as the young man spoke about not wanting to be stabbed, her gaze briefly turning to her boyfriend. She was clearly missing something here and soon enough, the healer would no doubt figure out what. The more she heard from both Belle and Ranma, the more questions that popped up into her head. Yet, she remembered her manners and what was most important right now was to make sure that Belle would be comfortable, everything else could wait a while.

“As Ranma said, you don’t have to worry about sleeping outside or anything like that. We’ve got a nice choice of spare rooms that you can choose from to call your own while you’re here.” She’d reply kindly to the young fellow. “You don’t have to worry about being harmed either. You’re our guest and while you’re here, no one is going to bother you unless they want to deal with us.” It was somewhat said in jest but there was a slight hardness in Erica’s tone. She couldn’t help but feel protective already.

Turning to her boyfriend again, she’d add. “I reckon you have a little explaining to do, hmm? Maybe you can tell me why he’s so worried about being attacked?”

As she spoke, the ginger cat would make himself known again, choosing that moment to vault onto Erica’s shoulder, purring like a maniac and wrapping himself around her shoulders like a scarf.

"Shì de." Bell smiled at the both of them before making his ways out of the room and began to wander thought the house, to give them a moment to talk. The first few rooms he found were rather large, and since he didn't own anything he didn't really think he needed anything that Fancey. The third room he managed to find was smaller, and had futon stuffed in the corner of the room. Dusting it off, he lay the thing out, before flopping on top of it with a happy bleating sound. " My first bed in over a century!, and it come with a nice house, lovely people, and their not even trying to eat me.. Well Ranma was trying to kill be, but now I should be alright.. No menos or ajuchus here trying to make me into a meal. Fees like I wone big coming here." Bell though about taking a nap, but instead roll over to hold up his new zanpackuto. This was what Soul reapers used? It fell so light, and brittle, he tried to take a bite out of it, and it hurt his teeth. " Huh, I guess you're gonna have to do, not like I'm gonna need to fight much here." He set the blade down, closing his eyes. "It's nice here..

… The kid pretty much blurted it out loud that, yes, Ranma did try to kill him before. He had explaining to do.

“… Okay, so… I thought he was from the invaders- it JUST happened… and I thought, maybe, he was trying to lay low, y'know, prepare for a sneak attack,” Ranma tried to explain his paranoia, “B-But he didn't even know there was an invasion… and he said he became an Arrancar a few days ago- wait, century?”

Ranma heard ‘century’, so in conclusion… Belle had been a Hollow for about over a century, then had taken his mask off a few days ago. Arrancology was one hell of a topic, eh? “I still thought he could've been lying, but the more he went off, I… so uhm… I-I’m really sorry, I shouldn’t have jumped the gun, he really doesn’t seem to want to hurt anyone, I was- I’m not really proud of how I reacted… I can't just draw my sword and stab every Arrancar I see. Fuckin' bigoted mindset… b-but surely, you understand the predicament I'm in?! It's almost surreal.”

Ranma was afraid of imminent danger near Erica’s place, which caused him to act recklessly. He should’ve been more observant like Yuri and Hono…

It was quite the story but Erica didn’t doubt what Ranma was telling her. Any appearance of an Arrancar was bound to cause a fuss these days and Erica couldn’t blame her boyfriend for acting as he had, she supposed. Yeah, she hoped he might have at least tried to talk first rather than go for the sword but who honestly could do that nowadays? The Hollows had dealt so much damage to the realm, leaving chaos in their wake. A part of the healer wondered if it was the right decision to truly give this young Arrancar a place to stay but she swept that thought aside. He had nothing to do with the attack and the healer would never hate based on race.

Eventually, she would pull Ranma into a hug once he was finished. “I understand that it’s awkward and it’s probably going to be so for a while as we figure all this out but we’ll manage. He seems like a nice enough guy and there’s no reason for us to treat him with anything but respect and care. He had nothing to do with the attack obviously and that should be enough for those who might stir up drama because of it. What you felt was only natural but already making up for attacking him now, right?”

Noticing that their new friend had gone to search for a room, Erica would take the hand of her boyfriend and search for the young Arrancar, eventually finding him in one of the smaller guest rooms. As the Shinigami entered, she smiled at him. “I hope the room suits you and that you’ll be comfortable here. Ranma told me the story about how you met. Are you OK?”
