Hard Times [Sajin, Elyss]
Sun Nov 10, 2024 9:51 pm
SAJIN KOMAMURA
Upon hearing the, now ex, Seventh Division Captain had returned to Soul Society, Sajin Komamura knew he should seek her out. As he understood it, she had been trapped in the Living World upon the Senkaimon's destruction during the invasion. That left her as an unknown to him. Would she be one of those who sided with the nobles, like the previous Fifth squad Captain? Or could she be convinced to return to duty under a different banner, one more similar to the last she served?
It took quite a bit of research to hunt Elyss Kishimoto down, but between the Sixth Division files and some good old investigatory work, Sajin was able to locate her in a Rukongai District. Evidently she wasn't the type to immediately grasp for power, like the ex-Captain the Nobles had propped up, which was at least a positive thought for Sajin.
Coming to the door of a Rukongai home, one he knew he would have to duck down to enter through if invited inside, Sajin brought his right hand up and gently rapped on the wood. Lady Koizumi had told him Elyss had no real connection to Soul Society, yet for some reason she had come back. Sajin hoped to convince her there were other reasons to stay as well.

"I got it," Elyss called out as she walked towards the door, her eyes narrowing the closer she got. "...I think it's for me anyway..."
The door opened as she pulled it back, her beady eyes looking up at the shadowy figure blocking the sun. She didn't seem impressed by his presence, but she's already heard the news, so him being here isn't something she'd call unexpected. Despite losing her position and basically disappearing off the map, there are those who still see her as someone worth following. It's not hard to keep up with what's going on with friends like that, even if she tells them to buzz off most of the time. Well, whatever. Guess she should handle this.
"So... Big guy... Looking for me?" She'd ask, stepping out of the house and closing the door behind her. "Cause I doubt a former Captain's after Hono of all people."
Folded arms, her weight on her right leg, she raised a brow and readied her thoughts to take in this little advertisement.

SAJIN KOMAMURA
Sajin took a step back to give ample enough space for Elyss to step out of the house and into the open air, not wanting to crowd her. He looked down at the crimson haired woman, and satisfied she matched the description provided to him Sajin addressed her by name.
"Yes, Elyss Kishimoto. When your fate, and the fate of your subordinates trapped on Earth, became clear to me I felt I must seek you out. I understand you have not been back in Soul Society for long, but I must trouble you with a request."
A request, a job offer, whatever it was Sajin knew not everyone would be interested in continuing their Shinigami duties. Undoubtedly some Shinigami would use this opportunity to live life for other reasons, to seek another path forward. It was his hope Elyss did not belong to that group.
"Myself and a number of other Shinigami have begun building the Jieitei, a successor to the Gotei. It is our wish to continue doing the important duties of the Gotei, defending the Soul Society and maintaining the Balance, without being beholden to the Central 46's every whim. I am here to ask if you will join us and once again become a Captain."

She tilted her head.
"Central 46? That's that Noble thing, ain't it? I heard United was dissolved because they tried to take over. I'm not here to try and dig out any truths to it and what's done is done..."
However, with that said, she gave Sajin another glance, her eyes up and down his body. Her lips tightened for a second but softened after a few seconds. She's not going to hold this guy up with anything superficial.
"But I want to go home, back to Earth. I don't have any interests in joining an organization, not right now anyway. I have things that I need to handle, and who knows what'll come of them, so for now, I'll have to decline this Jietei."
She shrugged her shoulders.
"I wasn't that great of a soldier anyway."
