She sighed. Now what does that mean? Oddities? All she knows about Amaranta is that she's obnoxiously thirsty for conflict. That woman's answer to everything is throwing hands. Who exists who's just okay with having a hyper aggressive woman like that around constantly?

"Ugh... Like I said..." Ryo grumbled, looking back at Kanako. "Just passing through. Africa's a good place for Hollow hunting practice. Gotta watch out for the big ones though."

She pursed her lips, blinking at Kanako, her eyes going down and up.

"Well, I mean, big ones other than you... What are you even doing out here?"

Amaranta did indeed have many oddities, and among them was her thirst for combat. Even as an Arrancar, Kanako believed that Amaranta thirsted for conflict a bit too much. However, the oversized Arrancar simply tilted her head as she looked at Ryo. She seemed a bit irritated, but Kanako didn't entirely understand why. Was it still the headpat? No... It probably wasn't that anymore.

"Would you like someone to come with you? Training alone is a sure way to train poorly due to injury or other factors. And I was here because..."

Kanako's speech drifted off as she thought about a proper way to explain her reasoning. Frankly speaking, outright saying she was "looking for ingredients to cook with" would sound... odd. Instead, the Arrancar tried to phrase things so it sounded like she was here to find rare ingredients for home. Her success would be, by nature, limited!

"I was out here because I was looking for ingredients that are tough to get where I live... I prepare most of the meals at my house, so I naturally go to find the ingredients too."

"I don't have anyone to adventure with, so it is what it is. Trying to be extra careful is training in itself."

Maybe a bit deranged herself, Ryo doesn't really see the issue with going it alone. She's been alone since she started, so anyone telling her that it's dangerous is just making noise. If she knew any better though, Kanako's offering to be a traveling pal. Knowing enough about the Arrancar, Ryo can surmise that the lizard has her own thing going on, so it'd be impossible for them to travel together long enough for it to matter.

"Don't worry too much about me though," She assured, shaking her head at the proposition. "I'll be fine, but if you're looking for ingredients, wouldn't it have been easier to go to a store?"

Regardless of Kanako's appearance, Ryo doubted it's impossible for the Arrancar to find a store that'd take her. Arrancar can just teleport wherever they want after all. The redhead found her head tilting as she pondered if the world's still that against Kanako's kind. Guess she's not exactly a supporter of them herself, but she can understand that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

"Find someone to travel with, Ryo. It is best to have a companion in the lonely world who has your back."

Kanako left her advice there, knowing that if the woman really wanted to have someone with her in life and her adventures, she would. With that, Kanako decided perhaps it was almost time for her to continue onwards. Unless Ryo wanted her to come along with her for a little bit, the woman wasn't sure what else she should do. Then again, she did need to collect a few more ingredients. After a few moments, however, Kanako rubbed the back of her head at Ryo's comment about shopping in a store. Frankly speaking, yes it would have been easier... technically. Kanako can hunt far better than most humans, and she knows just the right smells that mark a very healthy animal.

"A store would be more convenient, yes. But for the most part, a lot of stores don't want to let in an eight foot tall women and uh... I don't often... fit."

Kanako's answer did seem quite sheepish, and while Kanako did seem far more docile than other Arrancar, size often did outweigh a lot of people's reason. After all, whenever someone looks up at an eight foot tall woman they don't have immediate good reactions... Unlesss they like rather large women. However, Kanako still did find the inability to go into stores a bit unfortunate.

"Mmm.... Fair."

Ryo didn't seem keen on arguing the details. If Kanako says stores don't work out, they don't work out. Who's she to argue with the literal giant about the issues of being a giant? Though, she only has one concern left, and it doesn't pertain to the companion or store talk.

"...Just tell me who Amaranta works for, and we can be on our way. Ya got some food to catch, and I doubt the Hollow around here are gonna sit idly for long with you around. I don't need anything investigating."

Yeah. Maybe she shouldn't get an answer to her inquiry, but she's just curious what someone like Amaranta could be doing with her life, and if Kanako works with the woman, who'd need two estranged Arrancar as hired help... They must be someone important, right? Maybe shady?

It was true that, most of the time, stores didn't work for Kanako. She either got refused because of being an Arrancar, or she got refused because of being an Arrancar and her height. Sometimes it was simply better to find her ingredients the hard way and otherwise use curbside pickup. Eventually, however, Kanako was a bit puzzled by Ryo's request. Why did she want to know who Amaranta and, by extension, Kanako worked for? The Arrancar tilted her head in obvious confusion as her slit pupils dilated while looking upon Ryo. Strange... Regardless, Kanako didn't really see any harm in it. Khaana never told Kanako and Amaranta that they can't share her name if someone asks.

"Her name is Khaana Sar."

Kanako dropped her boss's name with some obvious affection, however the Arrancar didn't seem to understand Ryo's desires to know the woman's name. With that, Kanako stood and dusted herself off. The woman was about to reach for Ryo's head to pat it, but seemed to think better of it half way and instead gently tapped the top of her head with a finger.

"Be safe, Ryo. Find someone to travel the world with."

With that, unless Ryo further detained Kanako, the oversized Arrancar would begin to trudge away, her tail creating a distinct track between her footprints. Truly speaking, she was an odd Arrancar. However, not odd enough to know her limitations when it came to humanoid interaction. Perhaps they would meet again, or perhaps not... Kanako did like her. That fire in her eyes, that determination, it was very admirable. Kanako just hoped Ryo wouldn't burn out too soon.
