All Falls Away [Igen, Rangiku]

He tilted his head a bit as Rangiku offered ... well the same advice he had a lot. It's what people usually said around these kinds of things. But at the very least, he was glad that he was doing the right thing in terms of how he acted. That really was how it came down hm? He wondered what would have happened if he'd grown up like Kyo? Or was he just built like this? Wasn't like there was really any way to tell. But even so, he gently curled the arm that was on Rangiku's waist and turned his frame, gently pulling Rangiku into a hug as he smiled.

"Hm, maybe this'll turn out arlight. Maybe Rukongai girls are more into guys like me." He chuckled, sighing to himself as he released the woman and ... paused. Looking at his drink. He couldn't really get it without moving Rangiku. Ehhh, probably for the best. He was pretty toasted.

She moved to get herself another drink as she poured two for them. One for each as she thought more about their situation. She wasn't sure if it was the alcohol or what, but when she leaned back this time she looked over to igen as she offered cheers to him. She usually would teae3 about the situation, but she was going to be serious about it.

"Igen, you probably do get that alot. Is there anything I could do to ease your mind about it?"

She asked genuinely as if he accepted the dirnk shed take this last one. She was probably going to regret it in the morning but it wouldn't be the first or last night that's happened.

He blinked and looked at the glass that was offered to him. He .... hesitated for only a moment. But well. He wasn't ever gonna say no to a drink from Ran. And so he took the glass and smiled. "Thanks." He noted, before taking a slow and steady sip from it, a sigh escaping him as he let the glass settle on the arm of the couch and he looked back to the wall across from them, only pausing to turn when she asked him that question.

For a moment he looked a bit confused, but it was only brief. He smiled for a moment and snorted, a fond smile breaking out again. "I dunno, I just.. gotta try and get her outta my head. I couldn't even get any good sleep this mornin." He sighed, he had no idea how long he'd be asleep this time, hopefully a while, but he doubted it.

She nodded in agreement. She has also not been sleeping well as of late. Especially the last couple of days. The alcohol definitely getting to her head at this point as she leaned up and decided on a way to clear his head. He needed help getting out of his own head? Well maybe if she could shock him a little then he'd be fine. She leaned over and gave him a soft kiss on the cheeks before leaning back with a content smile.

"Did that help at all?"

She spoke coyly as she watched for the reaction. Rangiku did enjoy getting reactions out of people. Most of the shinigami she frequently hung out with probably were aware of this. She's been like this forever.

There were a great many things that a shinigami endured in the service of the gotei. And in that service, one experienced a great many trials and torments. Not just sparring with allies with sometimes volatile abilities, but fighting with hollows with powers of vile and corruptive influences. No matter how strong one became, some things could shock you to your very core. Igen himself had once found out this very thing when he had found himself sparring with Lady Ai some time ago.

In this moment, even through the haze of being drunk, the feeling of the woman's lips pressing to his cheek had an immediate and visceral physical reaction and Igen's eyes widened a bit as this sudden cardiovascular shift did indeed flush his thoughts down his spine like an emptying sink. "Hhhuh?"

Rangiku pouted a little bit at the reaction. Though was this a part of her flirting or was she really let down by his reaction? The world may never know. However she didn't let it stay quiet for too long as she kept the poute and decided to push the envelope a little farther with the goofball in front of her. She did truly enjoy his company and the alcohol now really was getting to her. If she stood shed probably fall.

"That bad, huh?"

She spoke as she looked at him. Averting her eyes away as she looked towards the rest of the small place. The openness of the area was pretty nice, and she somewhat missed staying in places like this all the time. It's nice just having so much space. It's not cramped like her office.

"Wha, no it wasn't bad at all!" He promptly sweated a bit as she pouted. Sure she'd teased him in the past, but this was not the type he was used to! "It just...it kinda knocked me off my feet a bit! Ahah, It was really amazing! Way better than a dream yaknow!" He responded in drunken panic as he attempted to save the situation. The last thing he wanted was for Rangiku to think that it had been a poor experience! "Its way better than I thought it'd be!" He doubled down, his mind racing on how exactly to deal with potentially having hurt her pride!

He promptly reached in and turned her head to look at him, firming his expression for a moment as he blinked a few times. "Ran... you're thmost beautiful woman Ive ever met. And your face bein on my face was the bees knees!" He stated firmly, the conviction in his voice ...mixing a bit comically with his impaired state.
