KAITO TOMOYUKI | GHOST OF THE RUKONGAI
Kaito could only grit his teeth as he watched the Hollow brush off the attack as if it didn't even happen. His eyes briefly went to the sword handle that he could see poking over its shoulder. Fighting through the pain, Kaito tried to get his arms up to scoot backward and face the creature, but didn't have enough time before it picked him up by the ankle.
He tried to force himself upward and reach for the Hollow's sword, but, the moment he tried, a wave of pain went over him, but he still continued to push himself. As he got his fingers around the handle, the Hollow drew the rest of him closer, allowing him to get a better grip for an instant, only for him to suddenly be tossed across the arena and losing grip of the sword.
He crashed into the wall, collapsing to the ground as the air was forced from his lungs. He coughed, taking in a long, deep breath as he struggled to sit upright. He didn't even bother looking toward Kurai, but rather, began to gather energy into his hands as he shakily lifted them above his shoulder.
"Bakudo #4: Hainawa!" He shouted, hurling his arms forward.
A rope of Reishi slung forward, wrapping around the creature. Whether it immobilized it or not was irrelevant, as Kaito was quick to channel more energy and cast another spell.
"Hadō #11: Tsuzuri Raiden," He growled, and an electric current screamed to life, surging toward the Hollow to fry the creature.

The rope of energy wrapped around the hollow, causing it to stop and look down for a moment. He then laughed, a low guttural, mocking sound that the audience seemed to mimic. Then the electricity moved through and entered him. He tensed, struggling to move as his body was electrocuted. It wasn’t doing too much damage, but it was enough to slow him down. The hollow fought though, using its superior strength and durability to power through until, finally, the rope broke, releasing him in a wave of reiryoku that blasted outwards, amazing the audience.
“Did you think that would be enough?” the hollow said, walking over and putting its foot on Kaito’s chest. “For the lady, Kurai, I will crush you.” The hollow stepped down slowly, making sure to apply just enough pressure to cause pain, but not break him… yet. He had to suffer.
Kurai stopped drinking her wine and watched this from across the way, a devious smirk on her lips, her eyes narrowed as she gleefully let her hollow torture Kaito. "Should have obeyed..." she giggled.

KAITO TOMOYUKI | GHOST OF THE RUKONGAI
Kaito's eyes went wide as he watched the creature shrug off the spells like they were nothing. Had the pressure he felt been a lie? Was it suppressing it somehow? Kaito's breathing picked up in pace, something that only made his injuries even worse from the heaving chest. He lifted his hands, trying to think of what he could do to turn the situation around, only for the creature to push the air out of his lungs, causing his mind to only shift to the immediate situation.
"P-Please, don't-" He pleaded, only for the Hollow to slowly add weight and pressure to its foot, forcing something broken deeper into his body.
Kaito screamed in pain, trying in vain to free himself or just get the foot off him. Tears welled up in his eyes, every breath he took only cause more pressure and pain to wrack his body. He lifted a shaky hand, pointing it at the Hollow's face, but, it just fell back to his side, his head lulling back as he winced from the pain.
"I..." He whimpered. "I'm sorry...p-please, make it stop."
He tried to lean his head to look past the Hollow to where Kurai was watching. "I-I'll listen...I'll obey, I promise, I swear, please...f-forgive me."
However powerful this creature was, he knew that it could likely do this all day, and even a stubborn man like him knew that he couldn't win. He didn't want to die. He didn't want to keep being tortured. If nothing else, he just wanted to live.

“Alright, enough.”
Something strange happened then. The cheering stopped. The people in the VIP section got up, bowed, and walked out of the rooms. The hollow stopped crushing him and walked away, leaving the little sandy arena they were in. Not one person here was an actual buyer or part of a real audience. It was all an act, and everyone here sold it very well. They didn’t have a choice, but the whole scene worked.
“I hope that makes things clear, Kaito,” Kurai said as she sat on the short wall that made up the arena. She crossed her arms and put one ankle over the other, smiling down at him. “I control whether you live or die. I control whether your stay is pleasant or hell. I am a simple woman by all accounts; I want my toys to listen to me. If they have the nerve to speak, what they speak better be the truth. Lying is punishable by whatever means I decide fit the crime. Telling me no is usually worse. You did both. You said you’d obey and didn’t. I gave you a command and you refused. This is your only second chance. I will not give another.”
