Rei had to allow herself to heal less she never get back to it. She didn't want to be stuck in this bed forever, She needed to make sure that the masked wearing fuck ended up with his head on a spike there. The lion was not of her concern as she was sure that she would get herself killed fighting someone she shouldn't have been. Similar to what happened to Kyo and herself. They really shouldn't have even attempted a fight with those two, but it was their job. The shinigami were meant to die if it meant protecting the Seretei. She needed to get stronger though so she had sets out to find someone who could teach her. She didn't care what their personality was like or anything.

The loss of her sister had costed Rei great grief. She hadn't spoken to anyone in days, and while in the hospital she was apathetic to the suffering around her. There was nothing more than she wanted to feel than her fist through that fuckers chest. However, that was going to have to wait. She had to get stronger, and the first thing that she wanted to do is make sure she has an answer to the spells. She needs to work on her Bakudo. Hunting down someone that could help her with this was going to be annoying, but she needed it. Bambietta was almost certainly off the table at the current point in time.

It was the middle of the day, more than a week after the aftermath of the invasion. J had not stopped working a single day since his body was functional. He found himself more exhausted than usual, but kept moving and utilizing the healing stations to keep himself going. Luckily, he had a pretty brilliant pocket healer, thanks to Tsubine’s introduction to Kaminari.

Anyways, the nobleman was walking through the rubble of another destroyed street, passing by a large crater. He had already found two survivors that had been trapped and sent them on their way to medics, but he expected to find something more out here, likely a hollow or two.

J stopped at the edge of the crater and looked around at the surrounding damage. As he was surveying the area, his gaze fell upon a young woman. He said nothing and merely watched her to see her next action.

Rei found herself mindlessly wandering. She had wanted to go and try to find Bambietta if she could. However, Bambietta would likely be much too busy to train rei. Rei wants to learn spells and kill the mask wearing freak but she had to focus on getting stronger first. Sensing first then spotting the noble she immediately wondered if she she should ask him to train her. She sensed he was stronger than her, and maybe he knew more spells? She thought it it momentarily before making her way over.

Giving a formal greeting as she bowed to the noble. She could sense that he was stronger than her. She looked up to him as her gaze appeared to be damaged. She hasn't slept good in days, she's tired but there's a real sense of resolve in her eye.

"My names is Rei. From squad 8. I'm looking for someone who can teach me the ways of Kido."

She spoke directly as she had no reason to hide what she was looking for. She wanted to get stronger so she was looking for someone who could teach her.

J silently watched the woman approach him. He gave a curt nod to return her greeting and then raised a curious eyebrow at such an odd request. It wasn’t the request that was odd, but the timing. With the Seireitei and Rukongai in recovery, training seemed like it should be set on the back burner while criminals, hollow, and the injured were found and dealt with.

'With the collapse of the Gotei United, this was likely a way of distracting herself...' J thought to himself. He could relate to the need for a distraction, which is why he decided why not? He could help.

"What exactly are you wanting to learn today?" he asked. Since he had no interest in being a long-term mentor, he could help her with the fundamentals, maybe one or two spells she needed help with, but 'everything' was not a goal. He was looking for something more specific.

Rei knew enough about the foundations to cast some of the spells. However, she needed to learn what it took to cast more advanced stuff. It hadn't been her strong suit when she was in the academy, but she needed to learn. Especially with the crash of the Gotei. There wasn't any official way for her to learn so she was going to have to do this manually. It was going to take longer, but she didn't care. Maybe someone else would beat her to killing the masked freak, but at least he'd be dead. Right now though he was still out there some where.

"I can do the beginner spells. I'm struggling with breaking into the next level."

She gave him a more specific answer. This is probably going to be a one time thing, so she hoped that it would net her as atlesst something positive. She didn't want to leave this exchange not have learned anything.

J was wanting an answer even more specific than that. There were a lot of spells on the ‘next level,’ and he could not be sure what that ‘level’ was to her in the first place. He knew people who thought Sokatsui was beginner.

“Are you focused on Hadō or Bakudo? And is there a specific spell you’re looking at for this level? Shakkaho? Sokatsui? Bigger?” J asked, glancing around the area for something she could use as a target.

"I need to learn more about bakudo. I would also like to find out bow Bakudo interacts with kido in comparison to things like ceros."

She spoke to him as she thought about that mother fucker she wad going to kill. She didn't care how he died or when he died. As long as the world doesn't have to continue living on with that stain attached to it, she would be happy.

That was oddly specific and definitely caught J’s attention. He understood her intent quickly. Raising an eyebrow, he crossed his arms and stared curiously down at this young woman. “You want to learn to fight other Shinigami?” he questioned. He wasn’t going to teach someone to fight other Shinigami without a damn good answer. “Explain.”

She was just honest with him. That dumb fuck asshole who hit her with that had fleed the gotei after he was a coward. There wasn't alot that Rei or Kyo could have did to change the outcome that they had went through. So that's where her problem was. She didn't have an answer for what that monster had done.

"One of the things that attacked us had kido. He was a Vizard. I am going to kill him."

“So, there is a Vizard among the enemy?” J raised an eyebrow, releasing a short sigh. There was likely some history there, especially since Vizards had been accepted into the Gotei since Aizen. Either way, it did add some extra danger to the situation, so making sure she knew what she was doing was preferable. "Bakudo requires control and precision..."

“Come with me,” J said and led her away. There was a specific area he had patrolled that had large debris that she could aim at. He had already cleared it of people, so there would be no one to hurt. Once they arrived, she pointed at a pile of stone and wood. “Show me a spell you’re struggling with. I’ll see where you can improve.” he said, crossing his arms. “Cero isn’t my expertise, but bakudo? That, I know.”
