With gritted teeth, feeling the world collapsing in around him as she prepared her next strike, Arturo felt a shiver down his spine. With a reluctant roar into the storm, he relented to the reality of the situation, she was overwhelming him. "I'm going to gut you, Shinigami. If you want a fight, then I'll give you one! Drag them under, Riptide!" Heaving his blade suddenly into the air, he brought it tearing downward in front of him, an eruption of reiatsu whipping up around him as his Zanpakuto burst into ivory and light, scales sprouting up all down his arms and over his body, jagged spines jutting up from his spine and fingertips, leaving his sea-sodden form behind in place of an apex marine predator clad in serrated armor just begging to go tearing through a certain someone's hull. Bracing himself for whatever attack she had sent at him, he raised his jagged armored arms up with a grunt, ready to tank whatever she was going to throw at him. Like a battering ram against his iron bastion, he felt her strike rattle him to his core, spitting a held gasp through gritted teeth.

Even if the ache rattled his bones, he wasn't going to waste the opportunity to have her within range, whirling his body in a serrated pirouette, anchor tail hurtling around him in a circle aiming to clash with her if he was lucky enough to make contact, enough to properly ring her bell if he did manage.

Bay Watch

It was smart of the Arrancarr to finally release his Zanpakuto, his newfound bone-like armor helping to protect him from the full destructive force of her attack. His own counterattack came soon after and would find purchase against her, sending the multitude of images as well as the real one flying backwards away from him. However at some point during her flight her form merged into the illusions around them as well, her exact position once more obfuscated.

When she re-emerged her form once more surrounded the Arrancarr with her gauntlets raised and clasped together once more, this time a yellow energy wrapped around her hands. "Coil and constrict, threads of fate, bind all movement with your unyielding grip. Wrap in silence, and let none escape—Bakudō no Yon, Hainawa!" As she swung her hands forward the crackling energy became like a rope, the Reishi formed within it aiming to wrap around the Arrancarr and bind his movements.

Fuurinji could tell his newfound power was going to be dangerous, and she needed to stop it from being utilized and quickly.

Arturo had had enough of this god damn storm at this point, even when he landed a hit he wasn't able to do much follow up. And now, before he even had a chance to try to gather his bearings once again, she was readying up another attack to strike him from the great beyond through the mist. He was no stranger to underhanded tactics, and still he was foaming at the mouth to cut this coward down right on this god forsaken beach, if that even was where they were still.

But no, Arturo was not going to just sit here like a fish in a barrel and keep tanking hits. It didn't matter to him if he wasn't sure which way was up or which way was down, all he knew was he was not going to be staying here. Whipping himself around, he drew his limbs in close to his body, before rocketing off out of site, shooting off like a torpedo through the air, picking a random direction and blasting full force to see just how far this storm held its power, and rather he ended up sinking down into the ground of shooting off up into the air, he atleast wasn't planning on sticking around to find out whatever magic spell she was preparing.

Bay Watch

It seemed that her prey had enough of playing victim to her prison, and aimed to launch himself out of the area without regard to the exact direction. This played into his favor more than hers admittedly, had she placed herself behind him then she'd easily be able to keep him inside. Unfortunately that was not where she was, so as she darted after him she was met with a surprising amount of speed from the Arrancarr, far faster than she'd expected even for one who had released their Zanpakuto!

So as he pushed himself out in a singular direction he'd find himself very high up above the ground, though the Shinigami herself was nowhere to be seen. Though if he bothered to focus on her energy, he'd note she was rocketing directly towards him from within the storm of wind he'd just escaped. However in a flash her Reiatsu signature appeared behind him, her fist coming straight down to smash into him once again.

"Tesshō"

In a flash, the Shinigami was on him like a barnacle on a whale's underbelly. With a strike that crackled the air around them, the Shinigami brought her gauntlet into him with a thump that rattled him to his core. The boney plating lining his form splintered and shattered around the impact as he hacked, the air forcefully launched from his lungs. In an instant, his form was sent hurtling down into the sand below in a huge plume, the ragdolled Arrancar crumpled in a crater beneath her. His armor was broken into bits that flaked and fell off around the gaping fist sized hole left on his back, ribs poking through the battered and bruised flesh exposed underneath. Wheezing as he fought to regain his breath, his form sunk beneath the surface of the beach like quicksand, swallowing him up as he floundered. Beneath, the wound ached, but his resolve wasn't going to let him be out for the count just yet. Concentrating his regenerar, he began sealing the wound up, feeling his ribs crackling slowly back into place as his hardened skin grew back over them.

Bay Watch

She had made contact... Perfectly square in the Arrancarr's back and sending him right to the ground. But Fuurinji didn't want to give him a chance to recover and get away, so as he slammed into the ground she charged forward after him, bringing that same fist down against where he had landed.

"Tesshō!"

Her fist slammed into the ground where the Arrancarr had landed, sand erupting outwards into the air to create a small divot in the ground... But that was all her fist had managed to do it seemed. As the sand came crashing down against the ground around the area she was at there was... nothing. Her brows furrowed slightly at this, where had he gone? She knew the path she'd hit him, had known this was where he should've landed... Yet he wasn't here?
