Salvation in the Coming Dark[Amelia, Isamu]

"Guilty as charged. This is kinda new to me, truth be told."

He chortled softly in response to that statement. She wasn't entirely wrong. Isamu wasn't accustomed to this mode of conversation. It wasn't exactly in his cards, but he was here now, and the conversation was pleasant enough for him to be more straightforward.

He wouldn't reveal his entire hands. Listening to her silently, he cycled through the multitude of facts he could reveal without showing the entire hand. After all, he wasn't exactly sure this would lead to anything long-term. Since she chose to approach family, he supposed there was little else wrong in speaking about his own.

"It'll take a minute to talk about it all, but... my father abandoned me and my mother when I was fairly young. Basically chose to hit it... and eventually quit it, I guess. As a result, we were homeless for a long time. We were always victims of hollow attacks and I... pretty much thought I might've died sooner or later, but my mom remained strong and we braved the storm... until my adopted old man brought us in. From there, he taught me everything I knew about wieldin' a sword. Good man, that one. Better one than I could ever be..."

"Nah, it ain't hardly anything to apologize for, sweetheart. It's just a different mode of conversation than I'm used to, ya know? It... feels kinda nice goin' down memory lane. Always good to know someone can relate to one experience or another. Besides..."

He warmly smiled down at her as he noticed the way she squeezed his arm. He had to admit that was pretty adorable, all things considered. When she sang her mother and grandfather's praises, he nodded in agreement with her words. They were sacred to him. His grandfather was the sole reason he was even half of the worry he was today, and his mother sacrificed everything to make sure he could live an ideal life. One day, he'd make sure she could do the same. He simply needed time. Time and money. At any rate, he didn't want that occupying his mind right now. A charming woman was wrapped around his arm. Nothing to be grim about there.

"Havin' a bombshell lady with gorgeous looks like yours wrapped around my arm has made the experience more pleasant than you might think."

"Is that so? Color me shocked..."

Isamu flashed a playful smirk as he leaned his shoulder against her own. He wasn't entirely sure she was being honest, though. After all, he meant it when she said she was drop-dead gorgeous. He wouldn't exactly be surprised if she had already had a boyfriend or two or someone vying for her affections. Of course, that didn't mean he would relent. When he enjoyed something saw, he hardly wasted any time in appraising and valuing it to the level it deserved.

"I could sing your praises all day and not grow tired of it for a second. Far as where I'm stayin'... I know a nice hotel suite I've been stayin' at that treats ya relatively well. Room service is good, and the people are great. If you need a place to stay..."

Isamu would gaze at her with a playful smile and a bold glint in his eyes.

"There's always room for one more at my place."

"Of course I am."

A bold smirk would crease his lips as she stepped in front of him, clasping her hands within his own. Admittedly, she had already had him somewhat smoothly wrapped around her little finger between her alluring figure and bold confidence. He would make sure her stay in his hotel was one she wouldn't soon forget. She would be treated like royalty until they went their separate ways.

Of course, though it was small, he couldn't help but inwardly admit he found her presence to be a cool breath of refreshing air. Perhaps... No, perish the thought. He had no place in her world. Rising from his seat, he maintained her gaze as he maintained his smirk, pressing his hands against her own.

"After all, a good vacation is all about makin' pleasant memories, and I plan on treatin' ya to an experience you won't soon forget, Amelia."

However she wished to imagine that or what it implied was entirely up to her, but his mind was already made.
