Taking out the trash (Yushio/Gideon)

Traveling from place to place had a fair share of perks; it allowed her to take in some of the things that made the world around her both interesting and something that she wishes to take care of. Though one person can only achieve so much in one lifetime, which is always a good thing to have a couple of folks who'll carry burdens with you along the way. She knows that the world isn't perfect but she sees great potential, but that potential is hindered by people's incompetence. More importantly, one's inability to deal with the threat at hand; hollows and by extension spirits as a whole. If the world wishes to know true balance and maintain a level of peace then the eradication of hollows would be of utmost importance, as she sees them as a plague.

She didn't come to think that she would find herself travelling all the way to Africa, but hey, someone needs a job and she just so happens to hear about a PMC company that specialises in hollow extermination, something that humans needed. She was hoping to find more information about them, and maybe kick start her Fullbring training which is the reason why she had been travelling for some time. That and the fact she didn't have much else to go for she had to flee her last home.


Her journey towards Africa was hampered thanks to a wandering hollow who had caught a whiff of Yushios spiritual energy, causing it to take notice of her presence. Yushio smirked and said "Finally, trash worth taking out." She was ready for the hollow to come at her as she allowed it to sprint towards her so that she can prepare a counter attack. What piqued her curiosity was the fact that a stray hollow was wondering around the open plains of Africa as there wasn't a single soul that she could detect. Not to mention there was a strange gigantic sized hole that the hollow wandered around from.

Probably the reason why the creature had appeared in the first place. She had also espied some hollows that were a few miles off from its friend, who was closing in on the lone Fullbringer. While she was confident enough to take on at least two on her lonesome, however her scant fighting abilities would make fighting a group of them to be a difficult chore. She doubted there wouldn't be anyone around in this area to deal with the remaining three while having her hands full with the one attempting to assault her. One thing for certain was that after getting rid of the hollows that's occupying the area, she would like to know more about this mysterious hole and why its here in Africa along with figuring out what took place. When she was ready to take on the charging hollow, the crack beneath her left foot prevented her from moving as it was deep enough to entrap her leg. She was forced into preparing for what might come next as she struggled to free her leg from the jaws of the earth.

The job was simple: Destroy Hollows around the chasm. Akashic International accepted multiple contracts with foreign governments, foreign to the company at least, to achieve this objective. It's founder and Chief Executive Officer Gideon Whitaker had led a few missions at the chasm, coming out unscathed each time, and was on one such mission today. A handful of Hollows had been sighted in an area without an active Soul Society or Vandenreich patrol, which meant money in his pockets.

Drones equipped with cameras and Reiatsu sensing capabilities alerted Gideon and his squad of specially trained soldiers as to the locations of the nearby Hollows. Seeing a young woman was currently in conflict with one such Hollow, Gideon sent his squad off to deal with the others a distance away and made short work of the open land between himself and the stranger.

When Gideon came upon the scene of the young woman, clearly a human, stuck in place while defending from the large Hollow, he appraised it to the best of his ability. As he spun a seemingly unremarkable fountain pen between the fingers on his right hand, the blond man considered his options. He could rush in and slaughter the Hollow like it certainly deserved, thus preventing any harm from coming to her...or he could not. And so, for reasons unknown, Gideon simply walked to a nearby boulder and sat upon it, his azure gaze never leaving the developing situation in front of him.
