YUUTO HISAKAWA | STORMSWORD

He knew that she liked it whenever he gave her little challenges like this, but he had vastly underestimated just how much this meant to her. Even in the seconds that passed after he had gotten back to the couch himself, he could sense energy gathering at the top of the stairs, garnering a little bit of worry. He was certainly not expecting her to be so reckless when it came to those three maximum steps.

As she used a second step to bring herself above the couch, Yuuto was quick to step in as she fell, catching her and making sure she didn't hurt herself by accident. They were already working through the mental trauma, she didn't need the potential for more physical injury after she had just been discharged from the hospital not long ago.

When she landed, though, she was ecstatic, and immediately blurted out the volume she wanted. Yuuto couldn't help but smile as he set her down gently on the couch. This was the Mirai he knew and loved. Those stars in her eyes suited her far more than the gloomy disposition she had fostered for the last few days. So, with a light chuckle, he sat down next to her and nodded.

"Okay, okay, King of Thorn, volume six. Got it."

That little trickster. He knew that this would be a rather difficult search, he had heard her voice some complaints about not being able to find it, and she refused to read it online. A challenge of his own, but, one he took gladly. He would find it for her and hold up his end of the bargain -- he was always a man of his word.
