Elyss has shown a great growth in her understanding of Kido and utilizing it in fights in her own ways, especially as she's started to manipulate Kido with her attacks to enhance them. With her knowledge of enhancing her fists already there, the dip into Kido has shown her becoming adept enough to start utlizing Shunko.

(You could say the pinnacle of Elyss' growth so far. This is a fight where Henrex and her took on Asher, the leader of the Hollows that were infiltrating Earth through a hole in the ground. This fight showcased her ability to fight the strongest of the strong, and even showcased a willingness to fight through immense pain to reach her goal of victory.

Zanjutsu Support

(Tenmarin died after Elyss confronted her Zanpakuto. This took place after Tenmarin fought against Murasaki until Elyss was about to regain control of herself. This showed a growth in character for Elyss, and is a somewhat large steppingstone for her that finalized a long story of mental illness.)


Shunko (Fire):

A technique that combines Kido and Hakuda, Elyss' Shunko is still in its early stages. However, her Shunko burns her body. Pressurized Kido coursing through her body boils her blood and causes her to sweat immensely. This sweat erupts from her body as energized steam, the Kido in her body forcibly pushed through her pours. This interaction also causes her skin to gain a red hue as the hot steam melts clothes. The steam flows around her arms and shoulders like a dense fog.

In this form, Elyss gains a 400% boost to her fighting capabilities.

Shunko: Fuun Reppa

By focusing the energized steam around her fists, Elyss is able to strike at an opponent, igniting the steam into a plasma-like state. This plasma-like Kido attack is extremely hot and can either be used to enhance Elyss' punches or kicks or be fired away from her in a straight line of scorching hot energy. The attack usually takes a white coloring.
