Re: A Place of Too Many Fish [Catherine, Alvah]

"Catherine Reed"
That excitement was noted, and then silently cautioned with a dark look in her eyes. Alvah was a curious spirit like herself, this kind of reaction was expected. But of course the mere idea of killing him dredged up old thoughts, old memories, things she'd push down with all her might..
"'We'? Contract says I don't get help," Her voice had taken a graver tone, darkness in her gaze as it firmly pressed on the ground, "Besides... I'm not ready yet. He's too strong. I need to get better, stronger, know more..."
Though normally one to tense, she seemed plenty loose as she expressed these thoughts, "As much as I want my hands on that knowledge, I'm not ready to kill a monster like him yet. I'm nowhere near ready."
Bizarrely, she went to slowly unbutton part of her top, fingers hesitant as if she didn't wish to unveil another part of herself, but it was the only means to sell the point. Gingerly pulling her sleeve down, she'd give him a look.
A shoulder, marred with old burns that twisted and discolored the skin was presented; but that wasn't the subject of presentation. Atop those scars, oblong patternings of considerable size raked the skin, further adding to it's destruction and mangling. They looked to be teeth marks to any informed observer - massive ones that tore the flesh.
Not a single word was exchanged, as she'd silently move to button it back.

ALVAH
"A contract..."
He frowned, obviously displeased at the fact that he could not help. He found her words disappointing, but he could not argue against her. If she did not wish to allow him into her little game, he would not force it. She has already proven fickle enough, and a fight would get him nowhere. This will require a more technical approach. Though, his care for her murderous quest was temporarily interrupted as she began to unbutton her clothing.
His eyes stared, seemingly unimpressed by her ruined skin. It is not something he'd find particularly interesting, for it is a part of his norm. Arrancar are horrendous monsters at times, and Hollow are far worse to gaze upon. If she wished for anything from him, she'd find nothing but his yellow eyes watching her. Maybe that is for the best though. He is not one who will judge a person simply for living. He is a simple creature, despite his antics, and only finds himself pulled by the unknown.
"If he is that scary, then that is even more reason for me to witness him."

"He's a hollow, nasty one at that. The meat suit he's made out of his corpse is just to hide that," She'd answer immediately after, "I'd arrange a meeting, but i'd assume you'd try to kill em. Either he'd make you sorry for it, or you get a whole lot of nothing. Me getting anything is entirely a legal agreement tied up in bullshit strings, it isn't like he's got a key lodged in his stomach for you to grab."
Suddenly, she'd point a finger at him, a rude little grin on her face as her eyes fell into a light squint, "But, if you're a good boy and help me train for it, and I don't die in the process of course, I can show you something you've never seen before. A whole lot of something, could even figure out what's with your arm and how to utilize it to it's fullest."
Crossing her legs, her face would settle down into a more neutral look, "Don't be so quick to discard me. I'm only ten pages in to my own story."

"We all read at our own pace, but I grow bored quickly if a story has only one tone. I hope this tale will have a satisfactory conclusion."
He didn't dismiss her, but his own way of speaking would seem like a warning of sorts. How many times have he witnessed the olden tale of one person wishing another dead for whatever reason. He's experienced it enough to warrant avoiding getting himself into trouble that's not worth his time. However, Catherine has yet to disappoint him, so he can spare her a bit of his consciousness. He's almost certain the filler content will be more an entertainment than this old Hollow she wishes dead.
