CANON EXAMPLES OF SKILL LEVELS
For the sake of example purposes only, these examples do not represent what a canon character on this site may look like in its modern incarnation. For the sake of trying to keep this as concise and digestible as possible, I will be putting the following disclaimers.
I. The reasons for each individual character will not be expanded upon and we encourage people to ask the staff team if they would like any clarification. Masters and Grand Masters placements will be explained.
II. These examples are based on what they demonstrate, and assumes all statements made by the characters about their powers to be true, in the series.
III. Some characters may be tagged based on a specific point in the series and different forms of that character might fill different examples ie. Ichigo (SS) vs Ichigo (TYBW).
IV. Side material has not been considered in this guide ie. Games, Movies, Filler Arcs, and Light Novels.
V. The skill descriptions are taken verbatim from the racial information pages on the site. The individual levels can be found on those pages for personal reference.
VI. The following skills are omitted or limited in description due to redundancy, originality, or lack of material:
- Cero (Hollow).
- Mask Protection (Hollow).
- Aumentar (Arrancar).
- Hollow Control (Vizard).
- Danava Skills.
HUMAN EXAMPLES
Power Control: The ability to use one's powers effectively and efficiently. This skill is basically the amount of control a Human has over their own powers. While pretty self explanatory, those with lower levels in this skill will have less control over their powers and can even find them to be weaker than intended. On the flip side, those with higher levels will have a much more refined control over their powers and can even find them to be slightly stronger than intended. Now, it is important to note that the strength of a power is not the only determining factor here. For example, if a human had a power that caused a lot of destruction, but was unable to control it well or even consciously scale it back, then they would still be around the lower levels of this skill.

❖❖❖
Physical Augmentation: The ability for a human to increase their physical abilities past the limitations of their body, this is crucial for those who intend to fight using their body itself rather than relying on other powers or external tools. At the lower end, one can already begin to see the user's body exceed normal human limits, and higher end users of this skill can reach physical levels which are often seen only in myths and legends of old.
Beginner: All spiritually aware humans in the series that possess spiritual power and do minor physical augmentations.

❖❖❖
Spiritual Adaption: As the Earth is the nexus of all spiritual realms, and has been exposed to the widest array of spiritual energies for countless ages, many humans gifted with power have naturally adapted to this wide array of energies accordingly. This ability reflects the ability to adapt over time to foreign energies, allowing those at a high level to quickly mitigate a good deal of spiritual danger if given enough time to acclimate. Even at the lowest levels, humans tend to have the innate ability to at least slightly adapt to threats and become more resistant to them.

❖❖❖
Mediumship: Because of the relative recency of spiritual power being common in humans, many people find it far easier to express this power through a medium rather than directly controlling it. This skill represents the ability to channel one's energy through an external object, such as a weapon or a tool, and to empower said object in some way spiritually. This can be quite simple, such as simply making it stronger or tougher, or it can be complex, creating whole abilities from a simple object. Naturally, the scope of this skill is reliant on one's aptitude, and while higher levels may be able to shape the very environment around them, lower levels would be lucky to influence anything more impressive than a lead pipe.

It is the quincy's equivalent of their counterpart's magic but they do not adhere to a strict numeric system like kido does. ❖❖❖
Steigen: The technique which the quincy utilise to navigate high-speed movement, alternatively known as Hirenkyaku amongst Japanese Quincy. Steigen allows for a quincy to control the spiritual particles in the air and utilise them to create currents which they can ride on with the benefit that there is no physical exertion in the user moving, and that they can freely alter their velocity and trajectory with experience. As a result of how it functions, a quincy sees far greater energy efficiency in using their reishi to travel as opposed to other races and due to not exerting themselves they display far greater stamina when using it in a fight as opposed to another high-speed movement which requires physical effort...

VIZARD EXAMPLES
Power Augmentation: As most people know, vizards gain an additional source of power upon the day they become one with their inner hollow. Thus, with their shinigami and hollow powers meshing together, one can augment their powers beyond what a shinigami or hollow alone would be capable of. Therefore, the higher your skill level is in this area, the more hollow powers you will learn, and the overall strength of your vizard will increase.

Adept: Hiyori. Shinji.
Advanced: Kensei (Hollow Form). Mashiro (Hollow Form).
Elite: Ichigo (First Hollow Form).
Master: Ichigo (Second Hollow Form).

Grand Master: No examples.
❖❖❖
Hollow Control: While a vizard can draw a great deal of power from their inner hollow, utilizing these abilities can naturally lead to the vizard being overwhelmed by said power if they are ill-prepared. This skill governs the ability of a vizard to draw on their inner hollow for extended periods of time, granting them more control over the otherwise dangerous and uncontrollable nature of a hollow’s power. While Power Augmentation grants a vizard the ability to utilize hollow abilities, it is Hollow Control which prevents that from being a suicidal endeavour.
Master: Ichigo (Horn of Salvation). Tosen.
Ichigo: Showcased exemplary control to the point he was able to fuse his hollow powers with his bankai.
Tosen: Was able to fuse his hollow powers with his bankai to achieve Resurreccion.
Grand Master: No examples.
HOLLOW EXAMPLES
Cero: Omitted, refer to Arrancar for examples.
❖❖❖
Evolution Stage: Unlike other races, hollows do not possess any greater release form. They do not have anything to unlock a temporary shift to greater heights, at least not innately. By feasting on souls a hollow is able to grow though, evolve and ascend through the levels and it is by ascending these levels of evolution that an hollow will gain greater power, not temporarily but permanently. They exist in a constant state of increased power based on where they sit on the evolutionary chain.
Untrained: Jibakurei, Tsukirei or a Fuyūrei that is close to becoming a hollow through encroachment.
Beginner: Newborn Hollow ie. Demi-Hollow or generic hollow i.e.. Fishbone D.
Adept: Shrieker, Numb Chandelier, Grand Fisher. Metastacia.
Advanced: Gillian.
Elite: Adjuchas.
Master: Vasto-Lorde.
Grand Master: White.
White: A hollow that was created out of shinigami souls by Aizen. He does not fit into any of the classifications of hollows while displaying incredible power.
❖❖❖
Mask Protection: PH specific skill. No examples due to created based on the inconsistency of hollows dying when mask destroyed or fatal wounds.
❖❖❖
Hollow Power: This skill is the crux of the Hollow's ability to utilize their individual abilities. With a low level in this skill, a Hollow may find their unique abilities either barely function, or actively work against them. On the other hand, a high level user of this skill will display control over these abilities which is versatile and refined. This skill does not govern the universal abilities that all Hollows possess, however, and so this is not a guaranteed path to strength.
Untrained: Fishbone D.
Beginner: Acidwire.
Adept: Shrieker. Numb Chandelier.
Advanced: Grand Fisher.
Elite: Runuganga
Master: Metastacia. White.
Metastacia: Had the hollow ability to take over other souls and to destroy a shinigami's zanpakuto that came into contact with it.
White: Had the ability to infilitrate other souls and take them over and eventually transform into the zanpakuto, "Zangetsu".
Grand Master: No examples.
ARRANCAR EXAMPLES
Cero: An iconic ability for hollows. It is performed by the user gathering their reiryoku into a compacted form and firing it as a blast. Traditionally, it is shot from the mouth until they acquire greater experience with the technique. The higher an arrancar climbs in this field the more powerful, precise, and faster their ceros may become. With greater experience comes the capacity to display their own unique variants of the cero which are personalised, and besides unique applications one can begin to unlock greater forms of cero such as the Gran Rey Cero and the Cero Oscuras.

❖❖❖
Núcleo: The nucleus is the foundation of the arrancar's hollow powers, sealed into their zanpakuto upon becoming an arrancar through the removal of their mask. It serves as not only their unique powers as a hollow that represent their missing heart but also how much of their hollow attributes were retained upon becoming an arrancar. As the arrancar develops their hollow nucleus, so too do they begin to reacquire and build upon their hollow side, reflected in their zanpakuto and their aspect of death.

Ulquiorra Cifer: An arrancar who embodied his aspect of death, Emptiness, and the sole user of Resurreccion: Segunda Etapa in the series.
Barragan: An arrancar who was a hollow powerful enough to be the God-King of Hueco Mundo as a hollow and upon becoming an arrancar he was an embodiment of his aspect of death, Senescence despite the lack of Resurreccion: Segunda Etapa.
Grand Master: Aaroniero.
Aaroniero: If all statements made by Aaroniero to be true are considered, he is capable of using any and all powers of what he has consumed (and the powers that they consumed as well). His nucleus would use the powers of all other hollows and races he has consumed.
❖❖❖
Regenerar: Regenerar: An ability retained from their status as a hollow, an arrancar retains their ability of high-speed regeneration which allows for the recovery of their body. Most arrancar give this up for the sake of more power due to taking away the energy cost to regenerate their bodies however it is a very valuable trait to keep in many circumstances which lead into their survivability compared to other races.

❖❖❖
Sonido: The high-speed movement and equivalent of the shinigami's shunpo, sonido differs in that it carries a static sound when executed as normal and that it does not exert reiatsu when they move which makes it harder to sense an arrancar when they are using sonido compared to other races. It is this trait of their high-speed movement that builds on their predatory nature and makes them excel at hit and run tactics.

FULLBRINGER EXAMPLES
Bringer Light
The high-speed movement technique utilised by the fullbringers. It differs from most conventional means of high-speed movement due to it being dependent on manipulating the environment to accomplish the feats. For example when a fullbringer launches themselves in a dash they will be pulling on matter they are standing on to make it function like a rubberband, and another trait that distinguishes the fullbringer's high-speed movement from the other races is that they can apply this outside of pure movement techniques at any stage of mastery such as using the air around their arms to make a punch accelerated beyond human capabilities to empower it.

❖❖❖
Fullbring Affinity
This skill represents the fullbringer's fondness for a particular object, most fullbringers will generally only possess one affinity which is an object they have had in their possession and which has developed attachment with. These experiences that the object accumulates through trials and their life is able to be drawn out by their innate power of drawing out the spirit of an object which then takes the form of their personal fullbring.
Beginner: Chad (One Arm)

Riruka: Fullbring is only restricted by what she finds "cute".
Grand Master: Riruka (TYBW).
Riruka: Seems to be able to utilise her affinity on things that she doesn't find cute at this stage.
❖❖❖
Full Manifestation
Also referred to as Full Manifestation Art. Whereas their affinity dictates their personal fullbring attributes. This is the broad control of spiritual energy that all fullbringer's display. All fullbringers can manipulate the spirit contained in matter. Everything within the world has undergone an experience whether that is a chair or a glass of water. That chair was once a tree, which was cut down and manufactured into a chair which in turn was sat on by people and has its own history...
Beginner: Ginjo.

Elite: No examples.
Master: No examples.
Grand Master: Tsukishima.

❖❖❖
Hollow Factor
Due to their powers being of hollow origin, all fullbringers possess an inherent hollow factor which can grow with the fullbringer. This can vary amongst fullbringers but their reiatsu carries a distinct hollow influence which can be sensed when they are using their powers but some users of fullbring can take this a step further and begin to show actual hollow attributes being cultivated in them to acquire powers of a hollow ranging from their acidic touch, regenerative qualities, and even their ability to consume souls.
