2023 Relationship of the Year Nominations

My nomination is a three-fold between Natasha, Natsumi, and Eiji's family dynamic. This relationship has spanned many, many threads across the year, and has not been all sunshine and rainbows. Natsumi's reaction to Eiji wasn't something that Natasha had accounted for, and caused a falling out between the three of them that eventually was able to be reconciled, and I find that endearing. Between Natasha bringing Natsumi in for a meal and place to stay, Natasha doing the same for Eiji, the aforementioned falling out, Eiji visiting Natasha in the hospital in the wake of AfriCatastrophe Part II, Natasha reconciling with Natsumi in the hospital after an attempt on her life, to a thread where Natsumi is trying to give Eiji a chance, these three have had an interesting, yet really sweet dynamic form. While the last thread (A Place to Call Home) isn't finished yet due to IRL circumstances, the rest of the content regarding this relationship more than makes up for it. These threads were fun to read, seeing Natasha so naturally assume and move into the motherly role is really cute to see, and it's a nice, heartwarming time that I think is really needed with all that's happened, on-site and IRL.
