Girls that Pack a Lunch (Meninas, Ehefra)

Meninas raised an eyebrow as her training partner spoke about using a second spirit weapon, intrigued by whatever it would turn out to be. The pink haired woman couldn’t actually see it properly but she could feel the power come from it. She’d have to keep her guard up, that much was for sure. The Sternritter wasn’t certain how she stood up to her fellow Quincy in the Vandenreich and while she was confident in her own skills, she wasn’t going to assume that she was going to just bulldoze through Ehefra. She was an Administrator after all and combat based or not, Meninas wasn’t going to underestimate her. Still, the idea of her first spar being against one was one that kept a small smile fixed upon her face.

Nodding as the woman introduced herself, Meninas would then tune into the spar, her jabs meant to be a way of creating a barrier of sorts for herself. That, however, didn’t seem to stop Ehefra and the Sternritter was quickly forced into bringing her left hand in to block the strike, resulting in a clash of spirit weapons. The attack was forceful too and the Scottish woman did well to hold her ground, relying on her strong boxing stance to remain where she was. The attack spoke volumes about the Administrator’s power though and the grin on her face said just as much. Clearly, the scientist was eager when it came to exchanging blows.

Pushing Ehefra back with her own formidable strength, Meninas would unleash a powerful left jab with her gauntlets to try and find her range, before throwing one with her more dominant hand with a crunching right straight, aiming for the Administrator’s upper body. Given the difference in size, it was a tad awkward for the over six footer to find her mark but that wasn’t going to stop her. She’d fought smaller foes before and in fairness, almost everyone she came up against was…

In what seemed to be moments, the Sternritter found herself in quite a tricky spot, with both arms currently held by her sparring partner. It was a surprise to be sure and yet there was that same eerie kind of look in the eyes of the pink haired woman. A strange kind of calm that could be more intimidating than the angriest of expressions. She was fully aware of the threat that was inches away from her face but Meninas refused to give into blind panic. To be calm in moments of danger was what her father had taught her and it was one lesson that she’d taken on board rather well. The thought of ramming that tail somewhere safe was one that brought her a moment two of amusement though.

As immobile as she was and her eyes momentarily focusing on the tail that was inches from her face, Meninas would activate her own blut, the defensive properties resulting in the familiar blue coloured veins to form across her face. She had no idea of the strength of the pincer but the pink haired woman had spent a great deal of time working on her blut and believed that perhaps it could be a match, should the Administrator wish to attack. As it was, the pincer didn’t move any closer, clacking away menacingly before her.

Yet, a defensive show wasn’t her full plan and after Ehefra almost egged her on, the veins on her skin would change to red, changing in rather quick time. Her dedication to the art had been well worth the effort. All she could do then was channel her spiritual energy into her right gauntlet, still tight up against the Administrator's claws and utter. “This.”

Somewhat short in force due to the lack of momentum, her Bonebreaker Bash wouldn’t be as powerful as normal but with any luck it’d at least push the two women apart or so she hoped.

The Sternritter had to admit that she felt a little like a mouse being played with by a cat, given how keen Ehefra was when it came to circling her. Meninas wasn’t intimidated as such but certainly a little bemused. She wasn’t sure what the Administrator was up to at all and while the pink haired woman’s instincts were razor sharp, the Scot had to admit that she was somewhat fighting in the dark. Meninas had no idea about the abilities that Ehefra possessed and if her encounter with that tail-like bow had revealed anything, it was that the dark haired woman was full of surprises. Something that the six footer was a little short of herself.

An attack soon came her way, a spell that Meninas didn’t know but if the name was anything to go by then she could hazard a guess of what it might just do to her. Trying to evade the spell, Meninas would move to her right but not quickly enough to avoid it completely, with the red beam catching her in the shoulder, much to her surprise and knocking her backwards. It stung like heck and as the pink haired woman glanced towards her injured body part, her uniform and skin had been burnt a little. “Just when I’d finally found a uniform that fit.” She stated with a sigh.

It did, however, wake her up just a bit and the sight of her own injury resulted in her rather swiftly form her own secondary spirit weapon. A rather elaborate looking bow that perfectly matched the fluffy pink tone of her gauntlets and without any further or do, she’d pull back the string and unleash a heart headed spirit arrow towards the Administrator, willing to fight at longer distance if she had to. Not exactly her preferred distance but needs must.

The Administrator moved quickly and Meninas soon enough felt the claw of the woman slam into her gauntlet, causing the pink haired woman to raise an eyebrow. She wasn’t certain as to what her opponent was up to but soon enough would, as she suddenly felt herself be swung around and slammed to the ground, in a manoeuvre that any martial artist would be proud of. The Sternritter landed with a loud thump but given her own sturdiness and history in the world of wrestling, she was alright when it came to taking bumps. Meninas was surprised that Ehefra would choose to engage in such a contest though and she felt quite at home with it.

So much so that when Ehefra pounced to try and pin her to the ground, Meninas would switch Blut, the blue veins that had decorated her face changing to red, giving her the additional strength she needed to at least try and shift the momentum. The aim was simply to roll through and end up on top of the other woman, using her own formidable strength to hold her down. It had been a long time since she’d last fought with someone who seemed to enjoy close combat as much as she did and another smile broke out across her features. Her father had tried to teach her to never become too overcome by the thrills of battle but Meninas would have to admit to herself that she was struggling just a little.

This was fun.

“You're going to try and out wrestle a wrestler huh?” She asked as they grappled, a rare chuckle escaping the six footer.

Meninas tilted her head at Ehefra’s response, the smile that had been on her face before still there. There was no doubt that the Administrator was strong herself and the pink haired Quincy had already seen enough of Ehefra’s tricks not to underestimate her but at the moment, the advantage seemed to be well and truly with Meninas. She could feel her superior wriggle beneath her and the Sternritter did her best to keep Ehefra well and truly pinned to the ground. The tall woman could’ve tried to lock in some kind of hold to make the Administrator tap out but for some reason, she kind of liked how things were now. It was an odd feeling and passed as soon as she realised but she’d be lying if she said that being on top wasn’t fun.

She was somewhat reluctant to release the Administrator, wary of whatever else she might have in store for the rookie Sternritter once her arms were free again but the spar had to continue and so Meninas would try and shift positions so that she was in a mount position, so that she could try and attack her opponent with her gauntlets. She didn’t use Bonebreaker Bash but that didn’t mean her thumping strikes wouldn’t hurt if Ehefra’s Blut couldn’t defend her.

“Feel free to give up if you need to.” Meninas suggested, continuing to come out of her shell as the spar went on, a touch of teasing entering her tone of voice.
