Flying Monkey [Rafaela, Sola]

So she got straight back into it, good. He'd hate if that thing he made up earlier took her out too easily, then he'd be kicking himself for picking such a crappy opponent. He wanted to earn every inch he took from her and for it to be a tug of war.

Again. He twisted in the air to try and slam the blast of wind from his palm into the crackling sword as a buffer against it before taking the brunt of it into his body and feeling something break. Whatever it was it didn't kill him so he stuck out his tongue at her as a taunt.

"How's your eating then!?"

He asked rhetorically before stuffing a point-blank cero into the lion's face. It'd either be a huge pain for her or it'd just infuriate her, and he liked it when she got senseless. She was far more fun to fight that way.

As the cero burst toward her face, Rafaela felt herself being further scorched, but the wide grin on her face didn't seem to change one iota. No, if anything, the burning away of part of her face only made the grin even wider, as part of her jaw became exposed, and she retorted with an almost manic energy.

"It's great!"

As if a wild beast, Rafaela opened wide and bit directly into Sola's arm, putting the full force of her jaws into it rather than letting this be anything resembling the typical bite of a human. Flesh, bone, whatever she could take out, she did, and she ripped the bite away before simply swallowing it all.

"See!?"

Sicko. His face was a little put off but he could respect the spunk at the very least, she was an animal. An actual lion hunting monkey and if he played it wrong then she might end up going deeper down the hole. Oh well, he might not have a jaw like her's but he had something better. He had opposable thumbs.

"I can see, can you?!"

He shouted back while going for her eyes, he'd dig his thumbs right into her eyes and gouge them out. Screw just blinding her like the first time, she had taken a chunk out of one of the arms that tried to crush her vision. So what if she broke his arms while trying to stop him from tearing out one or both of them, she'd already bit one. Sola wanted to keep it even now.

"You wanna play like an animal, fine, let's play like animals then!"

Rafaela, at least, had been ready for an attack on her eyes this time. Sure, she was in close, so there was no chance to totally avoid it, but she could at least jerk her head to avoid losing one of the eyes.

That, admittedly, did require her to wholesale shove the other eye even more into Sola's hand, destroying it more or less entirely, but who cared? She'd already grown it back once, and she was perfectly willing to grow it back again! Her grin hardly faltered at all, and her sword used that opening to once more slam into Sola.

"C'mon, using old tricks again? Too easy!"

She tried to get away, he tried to get closer, she could try to swipe him with that stick all she wanted but he had enough know-how about the body's range of motion to know that making effective attacks with weapons was far harder if your target was too close.

"If it works..."

He snarled at her through grit teeth and sneered, his vulnerable spots were a lot more conditioned that her's. He knew that much already. She wanted to eat him like other hollows then he'd treat her like one of them. The snippet of hearsay amongst hollows ran through his mind, hollows that have pieces of themselves eaten stop growing and stagnate. It made his blood boil to consider that she might be taking that from him.

It made him feel dread, rage, fear, empty. It made him want to hurt her for the sake of hurting her rather than their fun little brawl which is why he did his dirty tricks again and the hand that failed to take her other eye instead shot a cero towards her groin. An accident before but he was fully congnisant of it this time.

"It works!"

The cero Sola fired toward her was one she thought she was ready for, and her wide sneer seemed confident as she kept stepping in. However, this time as she felt the searing pain shoot through her whole body, Rafaela's amused expression fell, and was replaced with an animalistic fury.

"I told you not to do that!"

Lunging toward him like a raging beast, Rafaela had tossed her sword to the side, visibly intent on ripping Sola to pieces only with her bare hands. It didn't matter that she had no Fullbring; she didn't need it, not when her sheer strength was enough, all the more empowered by her Hollow infection.

He fell back from her sudden assault, good she was in pain and angry now that she had a taste of her own medicine and she had lapsed into this behaviour which made him chuckle back at her whining as though something was funny. He felt her tear the rest of the arm that he'd lost a chunk of to her loud mouth in her fury.

"I don't care!"

Sola growled back with daggers being glared at her to stare her down. Screw it, what was her limits? Where did this little pipsqueak's tolerance stop, now he wanted to find out and test it. He smashed his forehead into her nose to try and break it. While he preferred his hands there was an instinct at the moment that brought him back to when he was a hollow that fired them out of his mouth most naturally.

A bright red flash between their faces before he tried to blow her off him and into the air.

Instincts, and even the buried mastery of battle earned through her time in war, told Rafaela that she should have moved away from Sola. But both of those were wholly overridden by the malicious need for violence, the desire for conquest that had been implanted in the very core of her being. Even as blood poured down her face from her nose, Rafaela stayed atop her opponent, facing down the Cero with confidence that undoubtedly could only be called foolhardy.

It didn't work out for her, per se, but it wasn't a complete failure, either. The explosion blew her back, more scorch marks covering her body, but it didn't seem like she was tired out yet at all. If anything, the injuries were only pushing her on further, simple marks that she ought to try harder than she currently was.

"Yeah? Don't care, huh? Then I'll just beat you til you do!"

She was still in the air, but in a sheer fury, the air below her feet hardened just long enough for her to shoot back toward Sola, hands ready to rend through him like claws. Staying uninjured didn't matter to Rafaela, not after this little exchange.

He tried to roll away when he'd launched her into the air. No success to be had though when he felt her lunge back down from midair ontop of him and start goring at him. He'd go to try and strike at her throat again, naturally, while she took to whatever piece of him she could tear apart.

"I just care about breaking your shortass in two right now."

His attack at her throat was much the same as his previous attempt to channel his own special kind of move. The air in his palm twisting around it as he went to hit her throat in such a manner that his hand being stopped would just have the attack continue through the air to hit its target.

While Rafaela would have told him there was no chance of that, the blow to her throat once again made it so that she was unable to actually say anything in response. Even so, her expression of even more fury made it quite obvious how she felt, doubly so considering she had tried to block the attack and failed courtesy of Sola's technique. The piercing nature, however, worked against her durability far better, and so she actually paused, tensing and attempting to catch her breath.

In response, her only recourse was to once again bring her knee to him again, fully intent on crushing Sola with it this time rather than simply facing him with a degree of fun. Not killing him, though. There was some part of her that didn't really like that thought, though she wouldn't have been able to verbalize a reason why.
