Between the Lines [Edelo, Dorian]

He honestly didn't think he'd be spending so much time in this place. He hadn't exactly been around for the whole Ichigo fiasco. Well.... he hadn't been in the vandenreich at the time. But even so, it seemed that people wound up in here a little more often than he was used to. Between the waves of combat that had come with the africa situation, the place certainly was seeing a lot of use. And that included him showing up at the place. Though thankfully not as a patient.

He offered a soft, nervous smile to the secretary. She knew who he was here for, and she gently nodded toward the waiting area. A soft sigh escaping him as he rubbed his eyes, walking over toward one of the empty seats and sitting down, glancing around before pausing when he noticed another familiar face.

"....Administrator Demoiselle?" He blurted out in surprise.

"Ah, no it's not that I guess I just don't think I've ever seen you much in the past, so I was just a litle surprised. Are you here to visit someone?" He asked with a tilt of his head, and a look of good and proper concern. He didn't know anyone else who had his last name who had been injured in the fight. Perhaps someone he was friends with like Edelo? He was, alas, entirely unaware that Dorian was dating someone in the Sternritters. He wasn't exactly a guy who really listened to rumors or the chit chat.

"I'm actually here to check up on Miss Miller and Miss Lamperd." He explained with a good natured smile, gesturing to the two containers he had in hand. Home made macaroni and cheese. A remnant of his upbringing. If someone wasn't feeling well, you brought them food. Nothing helped someone recovering from an injury like some good eating after all. And apparently he'd heard the food was sortof so-so around here.

Edelo blinked for just a moment as Dorian paused. Did he say something wrong? He glanced down at the food he'd brought, wondering if perhaps it was customary to bring some other type of food? Was Mac and Cheese bad for a hospital patient? However such worries were assuaged when Dorian promptly revealed what he had actually given pause about.

"No kidding! Small world. Ahah. But I'm really glad to hear that. I admit I don't know Miss Lamperd very well. She was my recruiter into the Vandenreich, and though she's checked up on me now and then I wouldn't really say we're close or anything. But even so, I was just....surprised to hear she was in here..." His voice trailed off, glancing off to the side.

How many times had she helped him with his training? Stopped one of his attacks with her bare hands like it was nothing? To think that something had hurt her. No, hurt her so bad to need to be mended. It made him anxious, and it felt unthinkable. That was all the more reason why he was here. He'd met a lot of people who were good at something, and when they lost in connection to that something, sometimes something inside them bent just a little. It didn't break, not always. But he wanted to remind her that people were here for her. Her AND Miss Miller. HE glanced back toward Dorian and genty tucked the food under one arm, stepping in, and gently reached in to firmly grasp the man's hand in a gentle handshake.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Administrator Demoiselle. Miss Lamperd never really talked much about her personal life. But I'm glad that she's had someone such as yourself supporting her." He noted softly, as a warm, earnest smile spread over his face. Maybe not the kind of firm, professional mannerism that the people around here usually had, but if nothing else, the sincerity of his gratitude shone through. That smile softened as Edelo thought to his own support system. His Mother, who despite everything, had been working just as hard as he was to fit into this new place. "Life can come at ya fast. And nothing will keep your feet on the ground like someone at your side. So thank you for keepin Miss Lamperd with us, Sir."
