Lion(ness) Breaker [Rafaela, Sola]

"Ughhhhh.."

He groaned in pain as he was struck again by that damned fist. Why was she so strong? The question bounced around in his head as he ended up a ways off. Wait, a stupid question. It didn't matter why or how she was strong to Sola, all that mattered was somehow beating her or doing his best to take a fair jab at it. Clawing his way back to all fours from the ground Sola looked back at the little shortstack.

"Hey, why you do fight anyway, squirt?"

Maybe he could get her extra distracted now that she was struggling to see, get her talking and he was sure to find an opening somehow.

Seemed like he'd gone a little bit farther than she wanted. Damn it. Without any eyes, Rafaela could only listen for her foe, so she simply stood and listened as he spoke.

"What!? Because it's fun! Why else?"

Rafaela wanted to dash toward him, but if she moved too quickly, she'd probably lose track. For now, her only choice was to keep listening. Her expression had grown more serious now, though "more serious" was a very relative thing.

He smirked at her answer, should he really have expected anything else from what the little shortstack had given him to go off this far? He kinda liked her spunk, a lot. Her strength was frustrating and even with a handicap he didn't feel confident about beating her but despite missing an arm, and having half his ribs destroyed he wasn't going to be dissauded.

"Good answer!"

The luchador decalred whilst leaping into the air and twisting to try and take a kick at her head like it was a football. It made him grunt just feeling his ribs poke at his organs, blood pooling under the skin as he tried to send her flying.

Or you know, he could just pass out from blood loss and internal bleeding at any moment. That was also a possibility.

If she'd actually seen the kick coming, Rafaela could have easily dodged it, or simply chopped off Sola's leg before it hit her. But she was not only on full defense, she was missing one of the most important parts of defense in any fight. Instead, she could do little else but take the hit as it came, her ears at least giving her the opportunity to brace for the impact.

Ow. His kick was pretty good, and she hadn't even had the chance to meet it with a headbutt or anything. A blow like that was enough to shake up anyone, but she was something of a wild fighter, especially lately. Both hands shot upward to grab Sola's leg, and assuming she got a hold, she went to simply slam him into the ground.

If not, she was just gonna sprint in the direction it seemed like he'd move. Easy enough.

"Heh."

He chuckled to himself at the successful attack, a little proud of his kick to her neck like that. It was really well executed, he was very satisfied with the improvement of his technique, and it was while praising himself that he felt the tiny frame of the woman plow right into his back and send them both tumbling.

"What the hell are you doing, twerp!?"

Didn't she understand it was important to take pride in your growth? To reflect-- No, she was right. He had only won the battle here by executing such an attack when the war was still waging on. Smarter than he initially thought but Sola only thought that while trying keep their momentum up. If only to prevent her from actually being on top of him when his agility was his only benefit against the blind lionness he was facing.

"Fighting!"

What other answer was there? She was throwing down, ready to beat this guy senseless because he was there. It was fun, after all, and Rafaela hadn't had a good fun fight the whole time she'd been up here. She didn't need to see, she was quickly adapting to the situation. Like a hound on the scent, she could practically taste her quarry, and her wild attacks had only grown all the moreso, the primal aggression of a Hollow all too obvious in her approach.

"What, can't handle it!?"

She swung with her blade again, a bolt of purple lightning shooting out toward Sola's general direction even as Rafaela continued her aggressive hunt. She wasn't going to let him off so easy, even if she couldn't see him.

"Tch."

He spat to her response, fighting, of course she was. This chick really was a beast so he'd have to treat her like one rather than keep getting caught up about the fact that she was in the shape of a cutie pie. He dashed towards her, once more she did her fancy little lightning move which left him without much options other than to grab at it with his hand, coming to a halt mid-air as his body became taut and unresponsive against the zap.

Man. Somehow he needed to figure out how to neutralise that lightning that she was throwing out he thought from the ground, face against the dirt thoughtfully. Maybe if he stayed low like this though she'd be too focused on hitting where she thought his upper body should be, so with one hand he began to drag himself quietly across the ground in a painfully slow manner, as quietly as possible, to sneak up on her ankles.

Rafaela stopped as things went relatively quiet. She knew just about where her opponent had been, but not where he was now. Did he stop? No, that'd be stupid. Why would he stop? While the fallen knight's footsteps slowed, she still moved closer to where Sola had hit the ground. She could already feel her eyes slowly putting themselves back together, but she knew she couldn't rely on them soon enough to be useful in this fight.

"Where'd you go!? Running away!?"

Another swing of her blade cut through the air, intent on mowing down whatever was in front of her. However, as it turned out, nothing was in front of her. Rafaela's frustration only became more visibly obvious as she continued moving forward. If she'd had her full faculties, an experienced combatant an investigator like her would have never had any trouble in this fight. However, she was far from at her best right now.

Another blow narrowly dodged by luck, no skill, he was a smart boy to use the ground like this. Sola rolled over onto his back, trying hard to keep his ragged breathing in check as the blind girl narrowed in on him. If she kept walking she'd get close to stepping on him. He wasn't into that though, the white haired demon woman had already shown him that he was not a fan of that besides the fact his pain tolerance could improve so much more.

Huh. Black, yeah that checked out. He thought to himself and tried to grab at the approaching ankle with his hand, twisting her off balance and making her fall flat on her face.

Another small win, two actually for the view.

If she'd been able to see, this wouldn't have happened! Rafaela's face slammed quite unceremoniously into the ground as Sola twisted her downward, and while it didn't actually hurt much given how sturdy it was, the fact that she'd been caught off guard like that was certainly frustrating for a woman like her.

"If I could see you, you'd be paste by now!"

Really, she should probably just get up and try again, but it was going to repeat for a while if she did. No, for now she was just thinking about the guy she'd been fighting, running through all her options of how she could beat him in her mind.
