Equipment
Ring of Ruin Ring5
[list][*]Item Name:Ring of Ruin
[*]Item Type: Available for sale at the Armory of Demono
[*]Used For: Offensive purposes
[*]Item Description: These rings have been said to be personally created by Zoa Koa, and has been well renowned in the Demon World to be quite a devastating piece of jewelery. The ring appears as above, a polished silver ring with a topaz tinted, oval shaped gem on top.
The ring itself is fueled by its own reserve of Death's Energy, stored within the gem, which constantly replenishes whence used up.
General Recharge rate: 5 seconds per post AFTER the attack is finished, 20 seconds max for the first two attacks.

1. Baneful Ray.
The first, primary attack done by the ring. The user must point the ring outwards, holding the arm at least half way out, whist pressing the side of the gem with his thumb in order for this attack to work. The attack stops whence the thumb leaves the gem. The gem will quickly tint from orange to pitch black in the span of a second. Once that second is up, a razor thin, black ray is fired out of the ring, acting like a lazer coming out from a lazer pointer, except the entire ray is visible. The instant this ray is fired, any other attack that the user initiates other than that of the ring shall cause the ray to immediately stop firing. The ray can be easily directed by moving the hand around, and does not slow down the user at all. Upon contact with any physical object, or energy based defense/projectile the ray will tint everything around it, in a 3 foot radius, in total darkness surrounding the object. If the struck object is of energy, it will slow down to a quarter of its former speed, due to the ray, but will not dissipate from the ray. If the target is an object, the ray shall tint the entire object an inky black, in the span of 10 seconds of consistent contact with the ray. After the ten seconds are up, the object will completely disintegrate, in an explosion of a dark, gaseous material that expands in a 5 meter blast radius, the gas being benign. The same thing applies to a person as well, except that the person will fill a very potent stinging sensation at the area where the ray hits the body, which gets stronger and stronger the longer the ray hits the body. The ray can be fired for 20 consecutive seconds before it runs out of energy to use. Whence the attack stops, the gem immediately turns back to topaz, the thin ray quickly expiring, with purplish fumes emanating from the gem. Power, current health condition, or endurance does not affect the rate of damage in any way whatsoever (Meaning even if a person is wounded the ray has to hit that person for a consecutive 10 seconds for him to disintegrate). The best way to deal with this attack is to deflect it with a projectile or object that has deflective properties, or put an object or energy projectile in the way of the ray. The ray can be used against its user.

Buildup release rate for the victim: 3 seconds per post AFTER the ray has stopped hitting. (If a person has been hit by the ray for 6 seconds, and manages to avoid it for the whole next post, the exposure is reduced to a level of 3 seconds contact, the dark tint gradually fading away.)
.
2. Dark etchings.
This acts in similar matter to the first attack, in that after one second of charging up, the ray is fired from the gem. Whence the ray hits its target, however, the ray will leave a thick black etching on the exact spot the ray hit. The ray itself is benign, causing no damage upon contact. The trail created by the ray can be drawn on any physical surface, and can stretch out as far as the user can see. The etchings appear in the form of a glowing black line, one inch in width, with black light permeating out of it to make it more visible, lest it is nighttime. The ray can be fired for up to 20 seconds max before running out of energy. The line, after the ray stops etching, will remain there until the end of the post AFTER the ray is finished. After the end of aforementioned post, a pair of large explosions of dark, opaque energy shall run throughout the length of the line, starting from BOTH the beginning and end of the line. The explosion spans 15 meters in height, and 2 meters in width. If a person was etched by the ray, and so happens to move out of place, the line on his form shall still detonate, as if he remained in place the whole time. (IE:The victim was at the center of the line, and moves away from it. The line starts to explode on both sides. When the explosion reaches the area where the victim once was, the line on him shall detonate.) The damage is proportionate to how much of the line is drawn on a victim.

Low amount/ a single line drawn on the person (1-3 feet in total distance): moderate damage (Adept endurance.) Severe damage (beginner endurance.) low damage (Advanced endurance.) insignificant damage (master endurance.)
Mid amount/ 2-3 lines drawn on victim (4-8 feet total distance):Severe damage (Adept.) Fatal damage (beginner.), moderate damage (advanced.) low damage (Master)
High amount/4+lines drawn on a victim (9+ feet total distance): Fatal damage (Adept and Beginner.) Severe damage (Advanced.) Moderate damage (Master).

This ray can be used against the user. This ray has does effect energy based projectiles or defenses in any ways whatsoever.

3. Razer blast.
By pressing the thumb against the gem, holding it out, it turns from topaz to black, and begins to be immured in a black, swirling aura. The aura expands in the span of 3 posts after the initial action, reaching one foot in diameter max. After the 3 posts are up, the ring is fully charged, and can release its attack by sliding the thumb off of the gem. The person can move freely while holding the gem, with no impediment in speed whatsoever. Whence the person slides the thumb away from the gem, a thin ray, like those of the former two attacks, are fired out of the gem. Upon contact with any physical object (which can be as tiny as a pebble), the ray creates a massive explosion, in the shape of a dark, opaque haze, with a blast radius of 8 meters. The blast alone does the following damage: Severe damage (Adept) Moderate damage (Advanced) low damage (master.)
It's not the explosion that's deadly, but the aftereffect that the explosion leaves. The dayk fumes that emanate from the explosion, if the target was directly hit by it, will be engulfed in the gaseous material for the next two posts, the gas completely obscuring the vision, and surrounding the body in a potent, burning sensation, similar to being bathed in acid. The fumes eat away at the flesh, bearing a highly putrid stank of burnt rubber. Damage caused by the fumes over the span of the next two posts is moderate. This attack can be defended against using any energy based projectile or shield, the energy preventing the explosion from ever occurring.

Using this attack fully depletes the ring's supply, with a heavy amount of purplish exhaust fumes permeating from the ring, meaning that the user cannot immediately use Baneful Ray or Dark Etchings.

[*]Obtained From: On sale at The Armory of Demono for 999,999 yen, currently 4 in stock

NOTE: The ring can be dual wielded, so long as the user has two hands, and two thumbs.
