Symmetry, Elegance, and Grace [Toki, Ryouko]

Toki was certainly not dense enough to fail to notice she was a decent bit away, so he shifted a bit to move closer and make things a little easier for her. Not nearly close enough that he would be making her too uncomfortable, though, since he could certainly tell she was the shy sort.

"Oh, is that the case? I'll look through those in more detail, then, that does sound useful."

It was hard to tell if this was her wanting to get out of here and being too polite to say so, or if he'd simply said something that made her uncomfortable, but either way Toki didn't want to press the woman too much. If worst came to worst, he could always come back later during usual work hours.

He was closer. Too close. The empty space was nice and relaxing, she thought she had a bigger profile than most girls you know? So if he leaned too close then they might touch and then he'll look at her funny or do something. Ryouko just tried to keep her muddled thoughts in order as she tried to focus on the device itself. Not him, she just had to pretend that he was something that didn't make her nervous.

He was smaller. A little boy. He had glasses and was chubby too, you know the kind of chubby that was just normal for a smaller kid that had yet to grow high enough for it all the balance out. That mental image made her think of him a lot less menacingly.

Except she looked back and the cultivated image of a smaller and unassuming Toki disappeared to make her move her finger a few times and bring up the area where the shinigami encrypted their frequencies to avoid it being intercepted by the humans and other groups down there.

"For privacy..."

"Ah, okay, I see. I'd been wondering about if the encryption was something that could be adjusted on the fly."

Examining the denreishinki for a moment longer, Toki then offered an apologetic smile and a bow to Ryouko. He'd really been taking up a bit of her time now, hadn't he? It was after hours, after all. She probably wanted to get home.

"Terribly sorry to come by unannounced, Miss Amou, and when work is nearly done no less. You've been exceptionally helpful, though, and I really appreciate that. Would it be alright if I made an appointment to come by again in the future?"

At least that way she'd have some time to prepare.

"Uh huhuh- Yes!"

Appointments were good. Great even! A lot better than being pounced on like this where she felt like she was wobbling on the spot and ready to turn into a pool of awkward mush on the floor. She shook her head in agreement so much that it was amazing that her glasses didn't blow off her face, though they were certainly sitting there crooked by the time she was done.

"Here you go. Your denreishinki."

She stammered out and shoved the soul phone back into his hands with a deep red blush. It was like she was giving him that weight called responsibility right back into his own possession. Just the way she liked things.
