Lukas attempted to shrug in response, the pain overtaking him before it could complete. Instead, he'd nod silently, watching Rita as she left for the vehicle that arrived. If he weren't so damn tired, he might've had thoughts forming. Concerns for his body, contemplation for the newly forming strength. All of that was subsumed beneath exhaustion and anger, sparks still fluttering loudly in his chest.

"This deal better be fuckin worth it." The man half muttered as he started to walk home, a half wince each step. "Nothing comes for free."
