Heavens To Betsy(Ehefera/Natasha)

It had been a pretty eventful day to say the least. Ehefra had just finished going through some scouting reports and was looking forward to just enjoying a bit of ....free time in the training area. It was actually a little hard to squeeze in time for her own betterment and ....admittedly she did feel a bit anxious. After all, the time may come where she had to be involved in an operation, it always paid to be prepared. AS of late she'd been slipping and so she had made some time, FINALLY, to get down here.

Adjusting her uniform, Ehefra couldn't help but let out a slow......Sighhhhhh of relief when she finally stepped through that doorway. A little pleased smile crossing her lips, as if she'd passed the threshold where paperwork and logsitics could peel her away again. It was then that the sound of the discharging weapon jolted her out of her thoughts. Her brows raising for a moment when she turned and spotted an unfamiliar woman. Well....unfamiliar at first. She seemed to be a new. Her eyes followed the weapon to the target she was firing at and she made her way over. A pause as Beep floated out of her bag and promptly showed a little screen. Scrolliong through the roster until finally Ehefra made it stop, eyeing the ID picture, and then looking to the woman at the firing range.

"Miss Natasha?" She spoke up, hoping that she had the right name as she approached the blonde woman. She certainly was on the .... 'pretty' side of things. Ehefra felt a slight tinge of self-consciousness before reminding herself she was here to improve. Get your head together dammit.

A pause, surprise written on her face as the blonde promptly seemed to shift into .......country speak? It sounded american to be sure, and she wasn't very familiar with it, but she still put on a .....nervous smile as the woman seemed to promptly confirm her identity and make her introduction. Did she just call her lovely? A look of sheer confusion crossed Ehefra's features, wondering why the blonde would make such an egregious error on her part. Ehefra had seen the files of the various Vandenreich members. On her own? Certainly. But HERE? The word 'lovely' seemed almost insincere.

"My name is Ehefra Kleinmund. It's a pleasure to meet you." She responded, cutting into that air of familiarity by keeping hers strictly professional, even if her voice did shake a little, clearly ......startled by just how familiar Natasha seemed to be. "I hope I'm not intruding. I was hoping to get a bit of practice in. Do you mind if I join you?" She asked, gesturing toward the targets.

Ehefra raised a brow, entirely unsure as to what it was that was throwing her off about this woman. Her attention shifted to the firearm, wondering briefly if this was a unique bow or some other spellcraft at work. Her attention shifted to the targets themselves and she paused, taking a moment to form her own special bow. A Ring-like band of ditigtal coding that burst to life around her wrist, barcodes and ones and zeroes taking form as the ring slid back, cocking past her wrist before sliding back up to resr around her knuckles, as if cocking a shotgun.

She focused, and in her mind, invisibly so far as NAtasha was concerned, she began to work on a code, a simple AI program, before promptly loading that program into her bow itself. Pre-prepping the AI program. Though from Natasha's point of View, the band simply turned from brilliant blue to green. "Alright, lets get some targets....." She hummed, making her way out onto the firing range, Beeps floating out hovering to apply the Script to each of the targets. They were simple things, spiritually reinforced to endure arrows from Vandenreich members. which meant that she could apply her coding to them. Once she had gone down the line of trgets, she promptly jogged back to Natasha, a big grin on her face before a secondary bow formed in her free hand. This one was just a simple longbow.

"Alright, you ready?" She asked, grinning just a little. As at that point, the targets all began to detach themselves from where they were anchored, and began to move around the training area. Some of them slowly listing in one particular back and forth path, others weaving in little patterns, and one particularly small target zoomed around and wove through the others. Almost like some sort of game.

Ehefra herself focused, collecting reishi into a simple arrow into a notched position, glancing at her blonde companion, waiting for them to take up a similar ready stance. Beep floating above them, displaying 000 above each of their heads. A little competition to help things along!

Ehefra smiled, pleased to say the least when she noticed the vigor that was coursing through Natasha after being presented with a challenge. She herself focused on the targets themselves. And....true...if she REALLY wanted to, she could just use her preprogrammed AI to just have her arrows auto-track onto the targets themselves. However, the contest-like atmosphere was primarily to motivate Natasha. She herself was focused on bettering herself. A soft crackle of reishi collected, from her cross into the warm glow of her longbow as she sighted one of the slower moving targets. She fired three times in succession, each one a sharp punctuation of an arrow crackling through the air before zipping either into the target or slicing past. She was using normal arrows to challenge herself, and so she tensed as those bolts flew close, but only one of them managed to even clip the target.

She slowed herself down, even as no doubt Natasha would start blasting like Frank Reynolds, Ehefra herself took her time. Following the targets and watching them for their speed, firing off lonebolts rather than barrages that she was usually capable of. Focusing not on trying to be fancy and hit the head, but simply aiming for center mass, the dull blue glow of her arrows slowly beginning to hit the targets more and more consistently as she adjusted to the speed of the target itself and the steady motion. It was definitely one of the easier targets, but she soon was hitting it VERY precisely, each hard CRACK of an arrow slicing into it's chest, not even bothering to show off with any head shots. Each hit pinging another point.

She couldn't help but wonder if she would be able to shoot at another person like this. Her rational mind told her that was an inevitability, especially if she actually was deployed somewhere. But she still wondered. At the very least she could just...program her golems to fight for her. But still, it was a question she couldn't help but worry about. All the same, she cast a glance to the side to check on Natasha, to see how she was faring against the menagerie of targets.

Ehefra's awareness shifted slightly, causing a few of her shots to slow down as she made note that Natasha didn't seem to be firing as much. She looked over her shoulder in time to see the blonde woman looking directly at her. She set her jaw and raised a brow. Those previous assumptions rising up a bit before she cleared her throat. "You're going to lose if you Don't focus on your goals." She pointed out firmly, managing to repress the instinct to sneer just a little. IT was......unsightly to let out after all. She was trying to focus and this fucking blonde YANK was looking right at her? What a fucking noob.

Cmon Ehef, that's the old you. She frowned, reminding herself that those days were behind her. She was a fellow quincy right? So long as she kept a professional fistance everything would be fine. All the same she .....soemhow.....wanted to perhaps....jar this woman out of staring at her. Not that she'd blame them for doing so. All the same, she set her expression, focusing as she GREATLY ramped up her reishi intake. Suddenly rather than those singular careful shots, bundles of arrows formed and simultaneously began to fire! A blur of thin shafts beginning to spray from her bow. Her accuracy rating no doubt would drop tremendously, but then again this was scoring based on hits, not hit rate. Even though SO many arrows went wide, there was also a SLEW of hits that began to register. Mostly small point targets, but all of those hits began to tally up.

Shik.

She winced, some of the incoming Reish slicing her fingers as she took it in a bit too quickly. She activated her blut, refocusing as she felt a dull ache in her head. It wasn't too impressive all things considered, not compared to other members, but at the very least it would hopefully jar Natasha from looking at her, right?
