Physical Appearance: The first striking thing about the male is his hair. The turquoise color tips at the end were done by his strange mother. She believed it would bring him good fortune. Her family dyed the hair of the children in a powerful ink. His eyes are large and mint-colored, they often appear empty or lacking any shine to them. His body is small and scrawny instead of muscled. Two strands of his hair fall on either side of his shoulders. As for outfits, he wears the same thing most family members do, minus the scarf. As he is an academy student, his attire often matches that setting.

Pyshological Profile




Airheaded Kuchiki More often then not, even his parents can't tell what Koyo is thinking. His mind is often wandering to different subjects, looking unmoved or interested in things. His mother said he didn't cry when he was born, looking distracted. Which some people have chosen to believe. The only time Koyo shows an interest in something, he becomes obsessive. For example, he got obsessed with learning his Zanpakuto and its name. Thus he put everything he had into that element of his training. It is clear he has a high IQ and has demonstrated it before, understanding principals even instructors don't. He's explained them to his instructors on previous occasions.

It has also been questioned if he feels pain, which he has confirmed he does. He just doesn't react to it normally. His lack of emotions and almost aloof nature have had him in the Academy longer than most people. As his mother told him to stay safe. So he decided to do just that and stay safe at the Academy. Often times he'll stop and think about what his mother or father would do. If that doesn't cut it, he'll think about what Rukia or Byakuya would do. Going down a line of Kuchiki for a proper reaction. He does try to read the room, actively smiling when others are. Sadness is an emotion he struggles with conveying and if he is sad. He tries to escape others to be alone.

Anger, another one where he tries to walk away from others to keep it hidden from them around him. He doesn't show interest or emotion despite his intellect, because he doesn't understand how normal people do it as he says.


History


His mother married into the Kuchiki family, her beauty and looks were well known. She was finally reaching the higher places in the world. Her Husband was a fourth cousin to the Clan Head. His father was a man who didn't seek success in life, he spent his days keeping track of the events of the Gotei. Memorizing and training as one of the Kuchiki. He held no high position in the family of note, he was merely someone distant with noble blood.

The birth of Koyo Kuchiki was on October 14th, he was a skinny and small child. Frail in his appearance, his mother's clan had a tradition. They would take the hair of the child and dip it into a special ink. This ink would stay with the person for their life. Her own color had been silver to match her eyes. Koyo's would be light turquoise color. This had made her position safe, she'd managed to have a child of Kuchiki blood. His mother's concern was always the betterment of her position, she'd gotten the man to fall in love with her. She was a noble, not a great house but one of minor standing.

Koyo was a happy child, smiling often and playing. Though it was clear he was often distracted by things. Easily taken by the movements of other children. While most things seemed normal on the outside. At home, his mother began coaching him early. She wanted her son to be a ticket, someone who could take her farther. Teaching him rules that she would hammer into him as he aged. Some of these included not bothering the Clan Head or his Sister. Staying away from them, because your presence could offend them. Her words were a poison that was fed to him since his infancy.


Koyo had gained a fear of being touched by the age of five, he didn't seem normal like other children his age. While they played and ran around, he studied books. Medicine and beginner things though he couldn't grasp them. It didn't stop him from reading them. Showing signs of an obsession, his mother would give him more advanced material. While he didn't understand or grasp the concepts of. He did pick up small pieces and understand some of them. She pushed him, pushing him to overachieve and accomplish. She wore her mask well in the public eye, doting mother. Reminding him that nobody would believe him if he spoke, he was merely a child. So Koyo stayed in the prison his mother constructed for him. Studying instead of playing, but never pushing farther. While he didn't understand in practice, he did for academic purposes.

He could answer questions, despite his young age at 9 regarding most of the basic material. Performing them was an entirely different matter, his mother sought teachers to educate him. Beginning his teaching before he went to the academy. She wanted him to have a leg up on the other candidates there. It would prove her a good mother, her child performed well. Meaning she'd taken the right steps in his youthful beginnings. He studied three things more often than not, failing at them frequently and getting talks with his mother.

She didn't raise a hand, her psychological hold on him had begun much earlier. She didn't raise her voice, merely informed him of her disappointment. Her husband was often busy and a figure in the child's life when able. His father while not the greatest of anything. Did show interest in Koyo's development phases. His learning to step and even the first time he performed Hadō 1. His father declared him a Nine Year Old Genius. It made him feel some emotions, but he didn't know the words for it. A warmth clouded his stomach and made his cheeks feel warm.

After his mother was satisfied with his skill set, he'd learned the name of his Zanpakuto at the age of Twenty, making him someone gifted in that art. But nothing he'd call impressive, others existed greater. She would finally put him into the academy. Where he would remain, she wouldn't see him leave until he was properly going to represent her. His time at the Academy has shown him to be skilled in Medicines and their applications. He's also shown a vast understanding of his time thereof Mod Souls and Gigai based technology. His Zanjutsu, Kido, and Hoho skills have progressed.

The thing that stands out most about Koyo isn't this though, his emotionally almost cardboard nature. He seems to lack emotions and not in the sense of being stoic. It seems deeper and farther spread. He stops often in the middle of things and considers if his mother would be alright with his actions. If he comes to the conclusion of no, he'll stop right away. Her word is an iron shackle he wears around his throat. These chains bind him and make him. For without her, he'd not been born Kuchiki. His life is hers, that is what he has grown believing for his three hundred years of life.

It can be noted that he has gone out of his way to avoid Rukia and Byakuya, as he believed his mother's words. His presence could offend them or other nobles. So he has made note of the nobility and avoids them. This psychological damage is something he will face as his time continues.

» Kido Spell Effects: It allows him to make a double of himself made of water, useful for distracting someone or escaping a dangerous situation. While it is normally used for defensive purposes, he has used it for setups on prior occasions. This clone can't attack or fight, because people will notice obviously that it is water. These can be detected and are able to be cut down with a single blow.

The flow of the water goes casually over the body. Warming it and numbing the receptors that feel pain. Allowing the person to sleep while he works.

» Kido Spell Effects: Putting their hands to the ground, the user creates a wall of water from the ground. It is on average the size of a single door. It is able to block some projectiles, not able to completely block them all. It does well against Kido spells from below 20.

» Kido Spell Effects: By placing his hand over someone's body, he releases small drips of water from his palm. These drips begin to flow into the injuries and wounds of those who've been harmed. By going through the pores and each location. Reconstruction of the body is sped up, by using this Kido technique. This requires a constant feed of energy, causing drops to fall.

» Kido Spell Effects: He'll clap his hands together, causing water drops to form around him and his intended target. A thousand small needles begin to shape made of water. These quickly take shape and grow before he crosses his arms sending them at his intended victim. These have been used often to scare or try to get people to surrender, as one of his more favored techniques.


Hoho


Geyser Step: He can cause a geyser to come up where he executes his flash step, making it an effective way to catch an enemy off-guard. Koyo has been shown to be very innovative with his powers and tries to think of new ways to use them frequently. Creating a hot spring geyser is dangerous for those following him. He has shown to be able to execute this step within close proximity to people. The geyser size is enough to cover one average sized person's body. And goes up to two stories in the air.

Zanpakuto Information


Name: Asashio 朝潮 (Morning Tide)
Reitasu Color: White
Appearance: His Zanpakuto spirit is dressed in a traditional Sansuke outfit, which is a blake specially made kimono.His spirit has long turquoise hair. Resembling the flowing waves, it is put up by some pins. Keeping it neat, within his Zanpakuto's belt sits a fan. One used for moving the waves of the Inner World around. Changing the location or things like that. This spirit is a lot more active than his owner. Who seems content to just remain relatively unmoved by the process of the world and what is going on in them. The figure is a very fit one for Koyo who remains a still presence in the world more often. They share the same height, leaving neither taller than the other.


Inner World: Snow has fallen across his inner world, causing the springs to have a fog around them. His Zanpakuto spirit is often seen sitting among the Springs and enjoying himself. It is something that Koyo enjoys doing and can often be seen soaking for hours in them. So the two do share this part in common, also with random facts. Koyo being bad at conversation does make this more enjoyable.

Zanpakuto Sealed Form Information


Appearance: The blade is a white-colored Zanpakuto, which does fit into the purity of the Hot Springs that it represents. It has a rectangular guard, with hollow rectangles at each corner. The hilt is wrapped in a turquoise wrap that goes around the handle.

Power: His Zanpakuto, allows him to create water-based Kido and apply water-based techniques to his movements or attacks. Most notice quickly that the water is hot like springs, so it does give away the capabilities of his sword quickly. While this power is nothing to write home about, it has allowed him to craft steps and Kido based on the power.


Zanpakuto Shikai Information



First Release Command: Cleanse Them Asashio


Automatic Power: This is not the main power of his Zanpakuto, merely something automatic that happens should he use this phrase. His Zanpakuto will have water shoot around the frame of the sword, before swimming around his intended target. This will begin to knit injuries and fatigue rapidly based on his Kido skill at the moment. This is the healing command for his Sword, which fits within the dynamic of it. This cannot be used to hurt people, it has a three-post cooldown. He also cannot access his other Shiaki for two posts.




    *Adept: It can mend broken bones and remove twenty percent of the fatigue
    *Advanced:Poison Removal
    *Elite: Organ Restoration and Dead Tissue regenerationPartial Internal Organ Damage or Limb Regeneratiom
    *Master: Organ Restoration and Dead Tissue regeneration



Main Release Command: Emerge Asashio


Physical Appearance: The Zanpakuto blade changes little, but a swirling vortex of water begins swimming around the blade. Giving off steam and heat as it remains stuck to it. This can be fired off at his enemies should he decide to do so. A small cloth like a towel dangles at the end of his Zanpakuto's hilt. Dripping with hot Spring water, this can be used to heal injuries he has. Wiping them with it will cause wounds to close based on Kido level. As listed above for his first release command changing his sword very little.


Power: His Zanpakuot commands water, which is obvious given the power it holds. But it also can cause Hot Spring geysers to emerge wherever it cuts the ground. This power does have techniques with it, which he uses as he sees fit. This water is constantly heated and the temperature can be manipulated by him. Making it capable of scalding those who misjudge the techniques as only water-based ones.

*Techniques: These all have a two post cooldown, meaning when one is used it cannot be used for two posts afterward.




    *Saisho no nami, Tsuraise 最初の波 -瀬辛い (First Wave: Hot Current) By making a cut into the ground, his Zanpakuto releases a blast of water from a geyser current. Towards the direction, he has cut. This allows him to create a flow like a river rapid with the Hot Springwater. This can be used offensively mostly though he has used it regarding energy attacks on prior sparring occasions.

    *Tsugi no nami, Mizuwa 次の波 -水環 (Next Wave: Water Link) He will make slashes in the ground or air around him. This will cause water to emerge and shoot from each slash to another one, creating an effective stream. This can be done to set up traps or other strategic thinking that Koyo has come up with at the moment. These only travel three meters outwards from him.

    * San no nami, Mizuha 三の波 -水刃 (Third Wave: Water Blade) By channeling the water his Zanpakuto creates towards the tip and edge, he can refine and lengthen his attacks. Being able to draw from this effect of his Sword, he can release attacks from farther than most people think. Going for piercing or slashing offense with highly pressurized water.

    * Asakiri 朝霧 (Morning Mist) Bringing his Sword up in front of him, it begins to drip liquid rapidly on the ground. This heat begins to rise and creates a heated mist, like those found over hot springs. This creates a fog around him going around ten meters outwards. This effect will last five posts or until someone blows it away with Reiatsu.

  • Comments/Notes: So, there's a lot here. First off, it does not sit well with me that you use the clause of "genius" as a justification for higher skills and such without actually exploring the effects on the character. Even if it was a blanket reasoning, it is common on this site that geniuses aren't just all-encompassing and are rather geniuses in their field, so for Koyo it would be either Zanjutsu, Kido, or his intelligence. On the matters of intelligence, his would be Beginner maybe even Adept as it seems her never actually did any learning and rather just genius'd his way through the academy and just ended up at these other levels. It'd only really apply to his medical knowledge, but even that would not be Advanced. A toddler wouldn’t have an affinity of Zanjutsu nor Kido, unless someone is knowingly arming a baby in which case they would be horrible parents and probably wouldn’t slide with the Kuchiki. No baby would figure out it’s zanpakuto’s name if it could barely talk, even in this bizzare one in a trillion situation. Why is he a Kuchiki? It doesn’t seem that important or incredibly relevant to his backstory outside of 4 sentences in a multi paragraph piece. He reads like a Mary Sue.

    Water Pistol: Please lower the strength as the speed required for water to break concrete would be upwards of 900 mph. I feel like that would not be a level 4 kido spell as that’s nearly gun levels of speed. Kind of misleading if this would kill anyone under Advanced Speed.

    Water Double: Can these be detected by standard reiryoku sensing? How durable are they?

    Water Wall: This magical wall of pressurized water wouldn’t block every physical attack, you have it worded like an absolute. I need like, a more concrete length because it could be three skinny people or three fat people.

    Cleansing Tide: Specify rate of regeneration, energy drain etc. Define if this is a static set level of regeneration improvement, or one that increases either based on energy used, or your Kido mastery.

    Shikai: Add CDs and other scales that give us better insight into how this works mechanically. It’s way too vague a power for the capacity of what it does.
    Elite: I feel like you’re shooting yourself in the foot by putting poisons this high up on this list.
    Adept: Adept is too low for complete limb regeneration, most regenerating races don’t get that till Advanced at the minimum.
    Advanced: Make this partial organ regeneration.
    Master and GM: These are absolutes, which are iffy with healing but have the potential to be abused. Also remove the GM if it doesn’t go any higher than Master. Will be monitored.

    Mizuha: Explain the distance. Is it a meter? Is it a mile?

    Zanjutsu to Adept (Not only is he not using the bankai to warrant an Advanced, he’s supposedly known his zan’s name since he was a toddler but only has 4 abilities with it which aren’t even that complex? That reads to be more like it’s in an incomplete stage, hence the Adept.)

Done, I rewrote his history because you were right. It was very bland and didn't answer how he became a Kuchiki or why he was one. So I added some reason into it.
