Doctor's Orders [Abalia, Gamukira]

What a strange feeling, it's like a primal fear a child might fear. Was her body not the way it was she might've wet herself in shock from such a harrowing experience. The pink-haired captain loomed over her for a long moment, lost in that gaze. The force of her will smothered her own, she deduced it must be as such. There was no power going on it to be so, yet she felt like she was a gummy in Abalia's palm. Ready to be chewed, devoured, forgotten.

Her role was taken from her and Gamu laughed, for the first time ever she felt scared! The primitive need to beg for her life and submit, a thing to shake her resolve to pursue that highest of peaks and be an apex predator. A seed of doubt that tore through her being.

"You, would let me live rather than tearing me to pieces? Consume my very being like the insect you make me?"

Mercy. How could this woman clash with her beliefs so much, Gamu's outlook had changed in an instant. She could never be the apex predator, instinctually it told her that. She would be the thing that existed just below that apex predator and above everything else. Did she feel subjugated? Squashed? Yes. Though she might say she loved the sensation, how new it felt.

"Whatever you want, I'll do. Now, where were we~?"

Before she had served her loyally for the sake of being able to have her autonomy. Now she knew where their relationship sat, now she was faithful by choice. Loyalty to the Gotei only existed as long as Abalia was the one above her.

Gamu's hand disappeared into her haori pocket to pull out another gummy and force it in Abalia's mouth, it was the same. A cloudy white gummy worm. Harmless. Though Gamu most certainly was imagining that she was that insect.

It was rather apparent to Abalia that the Captain was very much a woman in only the loosest possible sense of the word. Whatever her state of mind, it was not one Abalia wished to comprehend, and she sat up rather nonchalantly, as if to only reinforce how unafraid she had been, how thoroughly the situation, and Gamu herself, were in her control.

"I am not a cruel woman, Captain. Those who amend their ways are welcome to remain."

Abalia was willing to allow the woman to feed her another gummy, if only as a manner of positive reinforcement. However, given Gamu's mention of enjoying the sensation of chewing upon them, she once more simply swallowed it without any pause.

"I believe we had been discussing the necessity of making a search for what is currently missing of my soul. Given it is not an immediate danger, I need not take any time away from other matters for it."

She backed away, dutifully backing away while sitting back on her desk from across from her. She had a chirpy little grin on her face while staring beyond the distance between the two of them. Those eyes really were something, she could get lost in them all day but there was work to do and the way she deprived her? Ah, she did know how to keep her in check, didn't she?

"Like I said, I think you are more likely to harm others than yourself. If you are content this way, do whatever you want. Just don't come crying to me if you hurt someone around you because you lack empathy. You're pretty much a psychopath without them."

Gamu, leaned back, giggling to herself. Reaching into her haori for yet another tasty treat.

"I don't really wanna find them. There's better things for me to be doing, my division doesn't specialise in hunting things down for you. I think you're better like this anyway. Ooo, a green one. Yummo~!"

"I will speak with others on the matter. If this missing piece of myself will allow me to perform my duties in a more efficient manner, then I certainly welcome it. I suspect that even to gain a proper emotional capacity would not change me so significantly as to alter my goals, or my willingness to pursue them. My convictions will not be changed by mere empathy."

Standing and redressing herself, Abalia gave Gamu only the briefest of glances. She did not necessarily mind the Captain, if only on account of her obedience, but she would not deny that the woman was unusual. Then again, who was she to point such a finger?

"You may rest assured, Captain, that our interactions will not change, even in the event that I do find emotional capacity in this missing part of my soul. There is far too much work to be done for which I do not believe there are any others more qualified than yourself, to say nothing of your loyalty. I would not wish to replace you if it were not necessary."

"Of course. Whatever you decide to do is right as far as I am concerned."

Gamu leaned over a chart and wrote down some extra notes while Abalia dressed only adding some basic notes. By the time she was done the captain commander should be clothed and Gamu gave herself a moment to consider the words. Eventually deciding on the most characteristic response she could do.

"Hehe. You're gonna make a girl blush if you keep complimenting me like that. How do you expect me to maintain such a professional relationship when you flirt like that?"

Still, Gamu went for another stack and mimicked Abalia. Swallow it, not chew it. Was it intentional to copy her or instinctual to imitate it? She didn't know but it did occur to her while a finger traced down her trachea. Maybe Abalia was the crueller one, rather than goring it early she drew it out. Gamu liked the sound of that.

She sensed the natural conclusion for their meeting coming up, what a shame. She could happily sit here and receive praise all day, she was a good girl like that. With a smug little cock of her head the captain continued.

"Well, if you ever want me for anything at all. I'll happily service you in any possible way. It doesn't bother me."
