Disturbingly Distant, Similarly Different [Abalia, Makoto]

"That is fair. I believe he has told me much the same, so I have not pressured him on the matter. I would rather he convey his lessons effectively, and in a manner that suits him."

It was in fact quite true that Abalia would have been a bit displeased had Makoto left her bed to sit at the table. She watched the Seated Officer with her usual gaze, clearly studious but lacking in what one might call any tremendous intensity. She was simply sizing up her subordinate.

"Do you mind terribly if I let my own hair down as well? It is rather refreshing after physical exertion."

Nodding was how she acknowledged Abalia's assessment. She agreed completely, one should be able to teach in an environment they felt most comfortable teaching. Makoto didn't really look while she was busy with her hair but she could feel her superior's eyes on her, wondering why she was being assessed. Maybe this presumption of shock that Abalia was still concerned about.

"Of course, ma'am. Make yourself comfortable, are you sure you're okay sitting like that while pregnant?"

Makoto didn't know the ins and outs of pregnancy. She had never experienced it nor had she gotten to the age of being educated on it by her mother. It also just wasn't a subject she had thought much to understand, there was a limit to what information was useful to learn and she had never imagined herself with a child.

Thinking a little more about it she went into thinking about her normal routine, if she had come back alone. Shoes off, hair down, shower and/or change clothes. She did feel she could do one of them, she had been training for a while before Abalia but that could wait until she left. Though she did think she might offer given how close they looked in size.

"Also, you trained quite hard. If you want to use the bathroom you can get have a change of clothes, we're about the same size I think. I can just get another set of uniform tomorrow."

She kept all her clothes in the draws underneath her bed, she liked the convenience of putting her changes of uniform down there for her morning routine and by the time she finished speaking she had leaned down to pull a set of garments to make up a shihakusho to offer Abalia. She probably didn't need it, it wasn't that intense of training but people were different and Makoto wasn't pregnant. It might've been far more intensive for her.
